Coronation Ceremony

Alex’s POV
I have employed security to each entrance ways to the pack. Record says that the security wolves have killed up to fifty intruders this morning. It’s 12pm and time for the coronation ceremony. Prady has dressed officially and I have informed everyone to be relieved of their work today to celebrate my two kids. Happiness is written all over Nora’s face as she mounts the podium, sitting on one of the official chairs. I also walk up there to sit. Prady signals to me from the crowd as I know now that many Betas are needed and I am not expected to be on seat yet. Before we leave, I can see Jack and Jake mounting the podium as well as the crowd cheer. Wolves gather from each direction of the pack and there are lots of wolves I’ve never come in contact with, but they are gracing the event now.
“Jack and Jake are right there now. I think we need to appoint beta’s before they’d be celebrated.” She says.
“I don’t really get you. We will appoint the Betas after the ceremony. You know they have to be taken to the woods right after the ceremony. We’ll spend the night there and wait for the full moon. You have to attend to them now, recite the prayer to the moon goddess to seek her favor for a smooth flow of the ceremony.” I respond.
“The hall is Grandeur Namache, right? It’s the biggest hall for the pack, right?” She asks.
“Definitely. And every seat is almost filled up now. Attend to the wolves now. The meeting should have started five minutes before now. Let me inform the security wolves not to entertain anyone from outside the pack.” I say and she nods her head as she walks towards the hall.
After informing the security wolves, I return to the hall as I wow the decorations, the turn up of wolves, and the mighty speakers with different designs across the walls and the floor to demonstrate peace between the moon goddess and wolves.
They’re currently reciting the prayer to plead with the moon goddess for a smooth flow of the ceremony when I walk in. I stand by the doorstep and recite it loudly with them. As they complete the recitation, I walk in majestically as everyone cheer and the noise almost deafen my ears. Three security wolves guide me to the altar, with guns strapped to their hands to fire any potential intruder.
Jack is finally given the chance to speak after Amanda talks. But I witness Amanda talking first before Jack takes control of the sound system.
“As we all know, today is when we celebrate the birthday of the twin kids of the Alpha. The Alpha’s sons. They are officially werewolves now as they’d transform under the full moon tonight. Let’s celebrate their patience and courage to face this day with full assurance that they won’t be let down neither will their shifting be delayed!” She screams with joy.
“Thank you,” Jack says as he collects the sound system and the crowd cheers again, “thank you all for gracing this event. I really appreciate.”
Jake is being given a sound system as well as he stands beside Jack, saying, “we are werewolves and would have our mates today! We are glad. Love you all!”
Jack suddenly adds before sitting, “let’s play some music and rock ourselves?”
He says it like a suggestion. I direct my gaze to Nora and she nods. To Amanda and she nods as well. My eyes scan here before I see Prady right behind me.
The DJ plays some rock songs as everyone begins to rock their bodies to the flow of the music. I also rise to my feet, dancing happily as the crowd becomes very likely.
Amanda nudges me as she says, “I’ll check up on the security wolves lest they be overpowered and this place is disrupted. No one will come if there’s a next time.”
“Sure.” I say and kiss her chin as the crowd cheers much loudly now.
The priest of the pack finally shows up after months that I’ve not seen him face-to-face. Nora informs me that she’s talked with him and they’ve agreed on the payment.
He turns to the crowd, permitting everyone to sit. The fans are doubled up to give more ventilation to the wolves.
“We are still going to come back for this event,” he says and continues, “but by that time, Jack and Jake will be marking their mates. Right now, they’re going to make a blood covenant with the moon goddess never to go against here if she will grant them wolves as mates.” He says.
Jack sprints forward, slices a part of his right palm into the big bowl. Jake does so, too. But he grins.
“I, Jack Orion Blackwood, vow to the moon goddess this day that I’ll ever be grateful to her and will, not for any reason, go against her rules and decree. I vow to be a Werewolf, and never associate myself with dragons or demons. I won’t have a vampire as a girlfriend.” He declares.
Jake says the same thing as well and the pack jam their palms together as the coronation ceremony comes to an end while the DJ plays rock music for everyone, especially for those that haven’t left yet.
Jack and Jake are overly excited as they run up to me, for the first time, to hug me. Both of them. I can’t remember if that happened once though.
Amanda rushes back inside the hall and she moves very fast as I conclude that her wolf is in action.
“Did anything bad happen?” I ask.
“Not at all,” she says, “the men are ready. The priest is also ready.” She adds.
“How?” Jack asks, furrowing his forehead.
“You need to be in the woods. You and Jake while we wait for the moon goddess. It’s a few minutes to 4pm now.” She says.
“Get your backpacks ready!” I inform Jack and Jake as they go meet their mother who guides them to their rooms to ensure they take everything they need, along, to the woods.
