Smart Prady, No Debate

Jack’s POV
I stand by the hallway as I expect to see Prady. Jake informed me that she is around and wants us back at where we escaped from. I’m sure he will have to come with her so I won’t hurt her. Not that he’s going to fight back. What strength does he have?
“She will be here in a few minutes time.” He suddenly informs. I turn to face him as I hold his neck and warn him not to scare me with his appearance.
I can see Prady walking towards us from a distance. It seems like she is just returning to the pack.
“Right here!” Jake waves at her and she nods in the affirmative. But before she can reach here, I pull Jaw closer.
“Are you sure this is going to work? I’m not going to take it easy if I find out she really means what you told me.” I whisper into his ears but he ignores and releases himself from my grip. What arrant nonsense.
“I am talking to you.” I nudge him to speak before Prady will reach out side.
“I know,” he responds, “permit her to say whatever she wants to say.”
“Sure.” I gulp and exchange handshake with Prady as she arrives here. She looks more beautiful than earlier and I will definitely consider shifting her mind away from Jake because as it is, I think they are in a relationship already. Prady is certainly older than we are. Not more than two years or one and a half years though.
“Come with me.” She points at me as I follow them behind. I realize she is leading us out of the pack but I don’t say a word yet. I also want to leave the pack and have vacation. Here looks like a prison.
“Where are we headed to, exactly?” I ask, when I notice that she doesn’t turn to the direction of the roadside where we might head to a coffee shop to have some fun.
“Just follow me.” She commands and I keep following her. I remember that I’ve trodden this path at a time but I can’t precisely remember where I was coming from or headed to.
After a few more minutes, some able-bodied men appear behind us. Two of them grab me while two of them grab Jake. Judging from the expression on Jake’s face, I’ll say he also didn’t expect that to happen.
“Who are you? What do you want from us?” I ask but Prady’s lips curl into a smirk as she orders them to lead us behind her. We keep going and I feel a bit safe because I assume Prady can’t be a bad person.
As we finally reach a pack, I remember the logo as I can see it at the top of the pack. Isn’t this Alex’s pack, where Dominic came to take us to our real home? I won’t lie, I can’t say for sure who my father is but I know it’s either Alexander or Dominic.
“Bring them in.” She orders. This time around, Jake has also realized that we have been brought back to Alex’s pack. I know this is what Dominic won’t ever agree with. Prady must be so wise to carry out this task. But how come the security wolves at Dominic’s pack didn’t question her? That wasn’t my business anyways. I just need to belong to a place.
I have finished my high school levels and I need to be registered to a college. That can happen between now and the ending of the year. If not, then maybe early next year. The pack gate is shut after we get in and we’re led to Alex’s quarters. I heave a deep sigh of relief when I know that I am being led to somewhere safe. Someone that I know. Someone that doesn’t have the intention to harm me.
He orders me to have my sit as well as Jake. The four able-bodied men are asked to leave the room which they do. I stare at Jake and he’s close to bursting into laughter. I won’t lie, I feel irritated by that because I can’t point to a thing that’s funny at this moment.
“Alex, why did you have us brought here?” I confront, immediately the able-bodied men leaves. I don’t want to get slapped in the chin by those men. I may lose all my teeth and never regain them in a decade.
“Your uncle won’t agree with me if I invite you over. That’s why my good friend helped me.” He responds.
“Good friend? Jake, did you introduce Prady to him?” I turn to face Jake as he shoves his hand, expressing nonchalance. As Prady notices my unsatisfactory comment on Jake’s nonchalance, she talks further.
“Jake didn’t do anything wrong in this. I approached Alex myself and he has made me the beta of this pack. As you can see, we have started renovating the pack house and our pack is going to be the greatest in all ramifications very soon. I implore both of you to cooperate with us if you want a smooth relationship and peaceful living.” She says.
“Now that you’ve made your intentions clear, I want to make mine clear as well.”
“Sure.”
I clear my throat after the reply and before I proceed, “I want to get to college. I think Alex has one. He should work it out for me. I am not writing any entrance exam. And again, I notice that Jake and Prady are in a relationship. They are dating. May I confirm if that is true?”
Prady responds before Alex could say a word, “Jake and Prady aren’t in a relationship. That isn’t welcome. They might be close friends. He can even call her his girlfriend but that’s not it. They’re just mouthing shit. And for the college stuff, I am not sure if I can register you. It’s no even about the entrance exam. I need you right in this pack to be eighteen years of age, have your wolf and shift under the full moon, sniff the scent of your mate and bring her home. Get mated to her. Mark her and then you can consider getting into college.” He says but I chuckle inwardly.
“Is it that you don’t trust me about choosing the mate the moon goddess chooses for me?” I ask, folding my arms across my chest.
“It’s not about trust at this moment. It’s about what I want you to do and what you will do.” He decrees.
“What about Dominic? Once he finds out I’m right in this pack, he’ll come down here and beat your ass up.”
“Language, please,” Prady corrects, “you’re speaking with your father. Don’t be rude.”
“Anyways, you can’t say this without confirming the verdict from mum. I can’t say for sure who my father is but for my mother? It’s Nora. I can’t…”
She interrupts suddenly, “Alex is your father. Dominic is your uncle. Orion Blackwood is Dominic’s brother. Nora is your mother. I am the beta of the pack and regard me as so.”
“Dad, I want to go to college. Just hear me out please.” I plead and he heaves a deep sigh.
“I’ll consider it. What about Jake?”
“He will follow whatever I say. He’s not able to make decisions on his own.” I respond as I almost cuddle Jake up to demonstrate my dominance over him.
Unexpectedly, he jerks off my hands, rolls his eyes towards me and hisses. I feel disrespected by that but I keep reminding myself that he’s just a junior brother and might not know much about this werewolf setting of a thing.
“Lead them to their room. They will need some rest.” Alex orders Prady as she asks us to rise to our feet.
“Did I just hear you call it our room? I think it should be rooms, not room.” I correct.
“You’re so fluent in English yet no college has offered to admit you. I mean your room! You both share a room. It’s a big one, no worries. It’s to promote good relationship between both of you and enable you to find it so hard to break off from him. Jake isn’t no dull man. You should get to know that very soon.” Alex responds as I shrug my shoulders and follow Prady behind, to my room. To our room.
