Alex’s POV
“You’re a deceiver.” I counter as I spank her ass once more.
She moans softly as she repeats, “I swear to the moon goddess, I am.”
I suddenly gain self control as I release her from my grip. I need to confirm what she’s been saying. What if it happens to be true?
“I will confirm.” I inform, “for now, let me leave.”
“Wait for me,” she holds me back, “let me put on my clothes.”
“No way. What do you want Dominic and your sister to say? I can leave now and you come a few minutes later.” I recommend.
“That’s sillier,” she says and chuckles softly, “you’ll be seen escaping and asked a lot of questions.”
“Let me go now. I will ensure I am not seen. They will assume I have left the restroom moments before now.” I suggest and she shrugs her shoulders. As I creak the door of the restroom open, I can see Nora placing her head on Dominic’s chest as Harley has been tied to the bed with strong rope.
I slightly chuckle as I yearn to learn what might have transpired in the little while I left them to themselves. I walk down to the same place we saw Nora when we brought Dominic in, and after two minutes, Amanda walks out of the restroom and walks up to the bed. She converses with them and eventually calls me so no one will suspect we’ve been together all this while.
I feigned a smile as I walked towards Nora. I will be happy to know what happened with Harley before I can even ask a question.
“You’re back already? I didn’t even see your face clearly earlier,” Nora says and pats me on the back, “won’t you thank Amanda for saving your brother? Don’t be an ingrate, Alex.”
I point my fingers angrily at Amanda as I speak loudly, “won’t you tell them how it all happened? Why are you staring at me? If you won’t, I will. Hey Nora and the slut, I am the one responsible for Dominic’s rescue. Let her deny it. I’ve been watching you all act ungrateful and I haven’t spoken a word yet. I even sustained injuries due to that.”
“You’ll sustain more.” Dominic suddenly interrupts as his eyes snap open. I never expected such a response from anyone, not even the arrowhead.
“What do you mean by that?” Amanda rolls her eyes at him. He sits up in bed and points at Amanda, “SHUT UP.”
“Is he now demented?” I ask, playfully as he makes towards me. Nora holds him back immediately so he doesn’t cause something that there won’t be a solution for.
“I am returning to my pack but if at least you won’t be grateful to me for saving your life, don’t insult me.” I decree as I walk out of his room. I want to stay by the doorstep and eavesdrop whatever they might discuss. I decide to employ my wolf to do the job for her as I won’t even need to stay by the doorstep. I will only need to stay somewhere close.
I can’t just return to my pack abruptly. I just wanted to see their reaction and it isn’t satisfying as we speak. Jack and Jake suddenly cross my mind as I decide to look for them. I don’t know how to create scents for little kids that are yet to have a wolf. Even if just the scent to track them down whenever they are lost. I will be happy to install it to their wolf system structure but right now, I need to find them with my physical energy.
I stop some wolves walking towards the gate and hurry to meet them
“Have you seen Jack and Jake today if I may ask?” I inquire as I lower my voice to sound respectful.
“No, not at all.” One replies.
“Saw him at the tennis courts,” another responds, “I mean Jack, not the quiet one.”
“The quiet one is right there. Down the field. He’s holding a conversation with a girl. I think he likes her. Get down there before he fucks her ass.” Another jokes. I grin at their responses but still wave at them for attempting answers.
I run down the field as I can see Jake speaking to a girl and making her smile with sweet words. I stay at a corner as I wish I am with my smartphone to take a picture of them. They look good together. Anyway, I hope she is a werewolf and not a different breed. And I’ll also advise him to keep off from now as it will be so painful if she decides to leave after the moon goddess reveals his true mate.
“Jake!” I suddenly scream as I wave my hands. He squints his eyes and upon noticing me, he pulls the girl into a hug, exchange handshakes and hurry down to my side.
“Where is Jack?” I ask upon reaching my side.
“He’s at the tennis courts. He’ll soon be here. I told Prady to inform him about your presence.” He responds. His voice sounds shaky. I permit him to shut up for a while before I move on with my question.
“Who’s Prady, anyway?” I ask, folding my arms across my chest.
“You don’t get to monitor my life, right?” He responds and reveals his middle finger before walking out on me. He runs off when he notices I am trying to run after him. I assume he’s just a kid and his words shouldn’t be taken to heart.
After a few more minutes, I see Jack walking with him and coming towards my direction. He’s sweating profusely as usual, when he’s gone to play games. I’m shocked it’s not PES this time around. He can play the game for half a day non-stop.
“Hey Alex, what’s good? Heard you called for me.” He suddenly says, requesting for a handshake. I decline the offer as I ask them to pack their belongings and head to my pack.
“I will give both of you a thousand dollar note each when you reach my pack.” I lure as Jack’s lips suddenly curl into a smirk, his eyes darting to and fro, his mind wavering, indecisive.
“We’d go with you. If our uncle doesn’t stop us, there’s no problem. I’ll get my backpack soon.” Jack says and encourages his brother as they get set to follow me to the pack.
“Dad,” Jack slowly calls, “look behind you.”
I slowly tilt my head as I look back to see Dominic. He hisses and kicks both Jack and Jake to the ground. He picks them up again like some rough sheet of paper as he walks towards his room. His energy is suddenly unmatched as I temporarily vowed to remain in his pack until I can come to a reasonable conclusion about leaving here for my pack.
I walk to his room as well and he’s with a whip. Jack and Jake are bare except for the boxers. He asks them to lay to the ground as he lashed them. I begin to feel he’s engaging in an inhumane act as I rush towards him. I push myself at his chest in a bid to ensure he falls to the ground as well as myself so I can stand up quickly and begin to punch him again but his chest is just like a rock. I suddenly feel I’ll need some drugs soon, just by hitting my body on his chest. I permit him to hit the kids as I slowly approach Amanda. I whisper gently to her ears, “are you sure we picked the right Dominic?”
