“Whose is this?” I demand, needing a prompt answer.
“I-I can explain. It’s actually yours, Nora.” He stutters, quietly approaching as I throw the strand at him to examine.
“You’ve been cheating on me with a lady.” I mutter, smiling devilishly.
“No, never.” He responds.
“My suspicion is even confirmed. Why are you wet?” I point at the middle of his legs, and he quickly turns his back to me. “So, the goddamn lady sharing my mate with me is even right in the pack!”
“Nora, calm down!” He yells back. “We should deal with more crucial issues, not these minor ones.”
“Cheating is minor?”
“I didn’t cheat on you, OK? I didn’t. Look, James called my attention to something in the pack.” He starts to explain as I approach him, my furious state of mind aiming to punch him with anything nearby, but I feign calm on my face.
“The two werewolves in our pack that we assigned the task of hunting yesterday, remember?”
I nod affirmatively.
“They didn’t even leave the pack. We’re so dumb that we didn’t even catch their scent around us.”
“They could have hidden it.” I suggest.
His mind clicks, “which makes us more vulnerable to our enemy pack that can access our scent if any of our wolves hides their scent right inside the pack.”
“Come with me.” I say, grabbing a few clothes and putting them on immediately. I hurry down to the last quarters in the pack, breaking the door with the power of a Luna. My eyes glare at a compromising scene with a very long dick satisfying a seductress’ hole.
“Simon! Zara!” I call to order as they shudder, looking back while covering themselves with clothes. I gulp at the sight, but Alec directs my eyes away from it.
Alec demands, “Is this the work we asked you to do?”
Simon stammers, “I found out she’s my mate on our way there. So…”
As I approach him, I quietly whisper to his ears, “Zara isn’t someone you should trust. See me after we’re gone.”
Then, I publicly declare, “Both of you will be punished for this.” When I look behind me, I realize Alex is missing. As I search for him, I run outside, but he has already shifted. His beta restrains me, saying, “Cool down. The kids’ location is known. He needs to go.” I respond immediately and it sounds urgent, “I’ll follow him.”
Despite his persisting protest to keep me away from following after him, I release my wolf and evade him (the beta). He nearly welcomes a wolfsbane injection to my wolf but it speeds up the shifting and allows me to escape that harsh injection. I follow Alec to search for our kids together.
His adorable blue wolf darts forward like a jellyfish, and I survey the surroundings in Dominic’s district. Alec vigorously shakes his body, flying over the district barricade. Following, we land in Dominic’s pack, and Alec, remaining in wolf form, swiftly moves to a secluded spot to shift. I emulate his actions. As he lays his head on my chest, we catch our breath, planning to surprise the pack.
“Is this how defenseless the pack is?!” Alec growls, striding majestically to the center. Clothed, courtesy of items he brought, we make a bold statement.
Confronted by werewolves, I join Alec, facing growls, radiant eyes, and threatening wolves. They question his intentions in the pack.
“I need to see your Alpha one-on-one.” Alex asserts confidently as they revert to their normal selves.
“Alpha Dominic hasn’t returned to the pack for a few days now. We’ve sent wolves to find him, but none have returned.” His beta reveals, sending a wave of fear through me.
“Can we check the pack? Find him ourselves?” Alex asks.
“I’m afraid you can’t.”
“You have his location. Give it to us so we can find him.” Alec requests.
“We do have the location, but we can’t give it to you, suspecting your intention for the pack. It doesn’t sound like you came here for peace.” The Beta analyzes. Alex growls deeply, demanding, “Where is he?”
Suddenly, the pack gate falls, revealing Dominic sweating profusely as if he ran a 1000-kilometer race.
“I lost the kids.” He wails, dropping to the ground.
“How could you?” I approach furiously, but he grabs my neck and leads me out of the pack. Alexander’s screams are muffled. To my shock, wolves outside wait to assist Dominic in a mysterious mission.
As the wolves tie me down, I’m led into the heart of the forest. I struggle against the tight grip and glance back, unable to voice my concerns. Upon reaching our destination, they release me, and I drop to the ground, too exhausted for escape attempts.
“How could you do this, Dominic? What’s my offense?” I question, scanning for any clue that might aid my escape.
“Nora, I’ve sworn not to be wicked to you throughout my lifetime.” He begins, but I cut in.
“But now, you can no longer follow your oath?”
“That’s not the situation. Nora, I need you to find my kids. They’re stuck in there.” He points to a building in the forest.
“How’s that my concern? Aren’t you an Alpha? Aren’t you capable enough?” I accuse bluntly.
“Nora, you still don’t get it. If we must have our kids, you have to get them yourselves. I can’t handle the rogues. Defeat comes through the ability to sniff scents.” He declares.
“Oh, sniff scents? I understand that I can do that best, but I’ll recommend that you invite Alex to this place as well.” I insist.
“Alexander can never be here. He’ll claim the kids as well.” Dominic responds, and a rogue menacingly appears.
“We’ve spent too much time here. We need to go!” Dominic shouts as the rogue attacks. I buy more time as I shift into my wolf, swiftly taking down the monster with my claws.
“Good work.” Dominic commends, helping me up. He leads me to the front of the nightmarish building.
“Who kept my kids here? Why didn’t you get them on time?” I question.
“Do you think you could take down the rogue because you’re powerful enough as a wolf? Capital NO. Just because you have better…” Dominic repeats.
“You shouldn’t talk like a robot. You’ve been repeating that statement.” I roll my eyes. The door creaks open, and someone welcomes us.
“Don’t go in, Nora.” Dominic warns. Children’s voices upstairs make me step back, glancing at the window.
“Jack! Jake!” I scream as I identify them, right in the building.
