“So, you caught Edward having sex with Bella?”
In one of the luxury hotels, lying on the bed, Aaron listened as Julia poured her heart out. She passionately expressed whatever was bothering her.
Occasionally, her beautiful face would turn into a frown. Sometimes, it would flush with anger at what was happening to her.
“Just so you know, I even dragged Bella off Edward’s body. And I’m sure this isn’t the first time they’ve slept together.”
Aaron laughed intentionally. Almost mocking the situation Julia was currently in.
“My suspicions were correct. Edward must be cheating with the woman you hired as a surrogate. Plus, it’s a risk living under the same roof. Not to mention, you’re rarely home to keep an eye on them.”
“Yes, I admit this happened because of how often they meet and my weakness in supervising them.”
“Are you jealous?” Aaron confirmed.
Julia immediately scoffed. This time, her face became more relaxed than before.
“Jealous? Not at all! Like I said before. I couldn’t care less if Edward is involved or even sleeps with another woman. Whether he loves Bella or not, I don’t care about that either.”
“Then?”
“What bothers me is that they both want to get rid of me. Even Bella is forcing Edward to divorce me, then marry her and make her the new Mrs. Darkwood. Doesn’t that sound funny?”
“It seems that woman is greedy too.”
Julia nodded in agreement.
“Indeed, quite greedy and shameless. Unbelievable! How dare that low woman, whom I’ve given so much money, whom I’ve supported financially, whom I’ve brought to live in a luxurious house, dream of taking my place as the queen. I’ll never let that happen. Edward and I can divorce if I want the divorce. Or, at least we can divorce if I find a replacement who has everything.”
“By replacement, you mean someone like Santiago.”
Julia nodded confidently.
“I wouldn’t mind if Santiago intends to marry me.”
Aaron chuckled. Finding the situation amusing. Feeling pity seemed impossible. After all, Julia herself was cheating on Edward.
“For God’s sake, Aaron. If Edward just liked, just had sex, and had fun when I wasn’t home, I might not have minded. Or pretend not to see or realize their affair. After all, you know how I behave when I’m with you or Santiago. What makes me upset and angry is that stupid Bella acting like she wants to take control of everything. Of course, I won’t allow that.”
“So, did you kick her out?”
Julia casually shook her head.
“Of course not.”
Aaron was taken aback by Julia’s answer. Usually, a legitimate wife who catches her husband cheating would warn the seductive woman. And as much as possible, separate them so the affair doesn’t happen again. But Julia seemed to have a different plan.
“What? So, you’re letting Bella stay in your house?”
Julia nodded.
“Yes, as you heard.”
“Why not just kick her out of your house?”
“Don’t worry, Aaron. I have a better plan than just kicking her out like that. I’ll make Bella feel jealous, suffer, or even if necessary, hurt and stressed while staying in my house.”
“That’s insane,” Aaron joked, laughing. He straightened up and reached his hand to open the nightstand, then took something out from inside. “So, why did you ask me to find medicine like this?”
Aaron then handed over a paper bag containing the medication Julia ordered, looking at her with curiosity. Curious as to why the woman gave such an unusual order.
“Don’t tell me you’re pregnant right now. Is it Santiago’s —”
“No!” Julia cut in and shook her head. “Of course, I’m not pregnant.”
Aaron became more confused. If Julia wasn’t pregnant, then what was the high-dose abortion medication for that she ordered yesterday?
From Aaron’s experience of accidentally getting his dates pregnant a few times, the medication he bought was effective enough to terminate a fetus. Even one that’s several months along. But if it wasn’t for Julia’s use, then who was the medication for?
“So, why did you ask me to find dangerous medicine like this? I thought Santiago impregnated you and because you’re afraid Edward will find out, you want to terminate it.”
Julia laughed. Pulling the corner of her lips, she sounded amused.
“If I did get pregnant with Santiago’s child, of course, I would demand accountability from him. It’s better to be Santiago’s wife than Edward’s wife.”
Aaron laughed. It made sense with what Julia chose. If Santiago wanted a serious relationship and to make her his wife, it would be a golden opportunity for Julia. Besides being easy to reach the peak of her career, Julia would also live in wealth.
“I’ll use that medicine as an emergency weapon. Just wait and see what surprise I’ll pull off.”
Aaron seemed unconcerned. As long as the medicine wasn’t used or consumed by Julia herself.
“Well then, let’s forget about your troubles for now. Weren’t we intentionally staying at this luxury hotel today for some fun?”
Aaron then pulled back the thick blanket that Julia had been wearing since earlier. Revealing her bare body underneath.
Then, Aaron crawled up. Finding a comfortable position, then allowing his body to press against Julia’s exposed body.
“Wasn’t it your delightful task to entertain me today?” Julia replied playfully. She hugged Aaron tightly, feeling the warmth of his skin against hers.
“Don’t worry. I won’t let you leave this hotel until you feel happy and satisfied. I swear, you’ll experience pleasure like never before.”
“Oh, come on. Let’s not talk too much. Can we start now? I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me.”
Aaron grinned. Happily serving and promising to make Julia happy tonight.

“My heart is truly broken, Clara. Edward doesn’t believe a word I say.”
After finishing dinner, Bella invited Clara to talk in her room. Venting her frustrations, expressing her anger at yesterday’s argument with Edward.
“Sorry. But I think this is all your fault. You should have been more patient and waited.”
“But until when? How long do I have to wait for Edward?”
“Until his status is no longer Mrs. Julia’s husband. Instead of constantly pushing and pressuring him to divorce.”
“If I sit quietly and wait, it will take a long time, Clara. I can’t stand being in a relationship like this anymore.”
“Then why did you choose to be in a relationship with a man who already has a wife from the beginning? I’m sure before entering the relationship, you were aware of all the risks you would face. Instead of pushing and pressuring Mr. Edward to divorce immediately.”
“I just need certainty, Clara. I just don’t want to be constantly treated as a mistress.”
Clara laughed. Bella’s statement tickled her ears.
“And the funny thing is, in front of Mr. Edward, you accused Mrs. Julia of cheating without preparing any evidence first? If you just accuse without evidence, even a child can do that.”
Bella lifted her face and looked annoyed. The longer it went on, the more it felt like Clara wasn’t on her side at all.
“Accusation? You mean I accuse recklessly? We both know that Julia has been cheating on Edward behind his back.”
“But, delivering news and accusations without evidence, who will believe you? So, it’s no wonder Mr. Edward is very angry with you.”
Bella grumbled in frustration. In reality, the position she was in was difficult and all wrong at the moment. Instead of getting defense and support from Edward, he didn’t trust her at all.
“I’ll find evidence, Clara. Anyway, I have to prove to Edward that Julia isn’t the woman he thinks she is. Edward needs to know about the long-standing affair his wife has been having. After presenting all the evidence, I’ll —”
“Ask Edward to marry and make you his wife and the new Mrs. Darkwood?”
Suddenly, from behind the bedroom door, Julia appeared. She walked in, approached, and suddenly delivered a hard slap right on Bella’s cheek.
“Never dream about it!”
Bella groaned in pain. Her cheek even turned red from Julia’s slap.
“I just found out that there’s someone as shameless as you, Bella. Do you think, with evidence, you can easily give and tell Edward about the affair I’ve been having all this time? That will never happen. I won’t let that happen.”
“Do you think I’ll just stay silent out of fear?”
Julia laughed loudly.
“Feel free to do whatever you want. But, remember that your sick mother is under my supervision. I could easily kidnap and kill her without your knowledge.”
“Julia, you’re insane!”
“You’re the one driving me crazy, aren’t you? Do you think I’ll stay silent when you dare to touch what belongs to me?”
Bella shook her head. She was at a loss for words.
“Moreover…” Julia continued. “You’re too foolish, Bella. Do you think Edward will believe your words just like that? Edward will never believe you. Even if you tell him that the baby you’re carrying is the result of your relationship together. Not the result of the IVF you’ve been undergoing all this time.”
Bella was instantly stunned. Confused as to how Julia knew about this.
“You—”
“Why? Are you surprised that I know about the status of the baby in your womb?” Julia laughed. “I even know everything you’ve been doing with Edward behind my back. Moreover, it’s useless to pay Clara so much if she doesn’t give me a lot of information.”
Not long after the shock faded, Bella was surprised again. Knowing that Clara was the trusted person who often provided reports to Julia made her almost crazy. Then, who should she trust?
