If yesterday Bella’s face was grumpy all day, it’s a far cry from today. Since waking up, her smile has been wide. The mood that was previously shattered is now transformed into happiness.
Moreover, who wouldn’t be happy? After much deliberation, Edward has finally made a firm decision. In fact, he promised to marry Bella as soon as possible after his divorce process with Julia is finalized.
Despite knowing that the divorce process is neither easy nor quick, Edward dares to assure that everything can be resolved soon without any issues afterward. Then, they will both get married promptly. After that, they’ll live happily while raising the baby in Bella’s belly.
“I think you’ve gone crazy, Bella. I’ve noticed you’ve been smiling non-stop since earlier.”
Clara rebuked. Seeing Bella continuously sitting in the living room with a smile on her face made her feel strange.
“Seems like I am indeed crazy. Crazy because I can’t wait to marry Edward.”
Clara was shocked by Bella’s statement. She even decided to sit on the sofa to make sure she heard correctly.
“What do you mean? Marriage? Are you getting married?”
Bella smiled.
“Oh, my goodness, Clara. No need to be that surprised. Like you heard. Edward and I will soon be getting married. Edward even promised me.”
Clara was still confused. Truly, Bella’s confession made her wonder. Especially since yesterday she heard with her own ears that Bella was still angry with her employer for not providing certainty. Has Edward really made up his mind and is ready to bear all the risks?
“So, is this serious? You and Mr. Edward are getting married? But how?”
Bella nodded lightly.
“Do you think I’m joking or just daydreaming? Of course, it’s serious.” Then Bella extended her hand, displaying the ring given by Edward, beautifully adorned on her ring finger. “Look. This is Edward’s ring. Isn’t it beautiful? Fits perfectly on my finger.”
Clara sighed and shook her head. More than that, she even pinched Bella out of fondness.
“Just yesterday, you were furious. You were even exactly like a woman who had just broken up. I haven’t forgotten that you said you wouldn’t forgive Mr. Edward. And now? You’re eating your own words.”
Instead of being offended, Bella laughed. She wasn’t the least bit angry about Clara’s blatant teasing.
“Oh, come on. Don’t spoil my happiness. You should be happy that Edward and I are finally uniting and will soon be married.”
“I don’t intend to spoil your happiness. It’s purely because of the surprise. What about Mrs. Julia?”
“Of course, she’ll be divorced soon. How could Edward have two wives, right? Preposterous!”
“I know,” Clara replied. “But are you sure Mrs. Julia will just stay quiet when suddenly divorced? Especially knowing it’s because Mr. Edward is in a relationship with you. She might go ballistic and refuse to let go just like that.”
Similar to Edward, Clara had the same thought. However, according to Bella, there’s no need to worry about this.
“Let Edward handle everything. He did ask for more time to handle all this without causing any problems in the future. I’m actually aware this won’t be easy. Personally, if Julia refuses to negotiate with Edward, or even acts out, I would report her and reveal her affair behind Edward’s back.”
Clara just nodded, again feeling overwhelmed by what Bella was saying.
“Ah, let’s just leave it. I don’t want to get too involved. I’ll just pray that your relationship with Mr. Edward ends up as you both dream.”
“Thank you, my dear Clara. If I marry Edward later, you must stay with me. I don’t want to be separated from you.”
Clara nodded in agreement.
“Of course. I hope you keep your promise.”
