Keeping his promise, today Edward took Bella out for a walk. According to plan, the first place they both went to was the cinema.
Edward let Bella choose which movie they would watch. After that, Edward intentionally rented a VIP room at the cinema so they could watch alone without being disturbed by other viewers.
“You’re exaggerating,” Bella exclaimed as they entered the cinema room and were seated. “You don’t need to rent a whole room.”
Edward seemed indifferent. Yet, this was the first time he was so determined to take a woman out on a date that he rented a cinema room just to ensure their privacy. Despite his past infatuation with Julia, he never did anything like this. Odd indeed.
“It’s not excessive. I just want to enjoy the movie with you alone without anyone bothering us.”
Bella pinched Edward playfully. Since the movie they wanted to watch had started, Edward pulled Bella into his embrace. He hugged her while enjoying what was being presented in front of them.
Maybe about two hours more were spent watching Bella’s chosen drama film. Since there was still plenty of time, Edward invited Bella to go shopping.
“Actually, you don’t need to take me shopping for everything. Just being invited to watch is more than enough for me.”
Bella rejected Edward’s offer. Even though the man insisted and promised to buy whatever Bella wanted. But, feeling uncomfortable and afraid of being seen as taking advantage, Bella continued to refuse the offer.
“No need to feel uncomfortable. Just consider it a gift because I want to make you happy.”
“But, I think this is excessive.”
Edward shook his head. He pulled Bella, then he led her into one of the shops.
“Come on. Pick one. I won’t leave until you buy something in this store.”
Bella sighed. Because she was continuously pressured, she agreed to the man’s offer. She chose a dress along with a bag and shoes. Meanwhile, Edward also picked out a nightgown that he felt would look good on Bella, for some reason.
“Are you sure you don’t want to pick something else?”
Bella shook her head.
“I think this is more than enough.”
“Alright then. I’ll pay for everything, then we’ll go for dinner and head home.”
“Edward…” Bella interrupted. “After dinner, can I make a quick stop?”
Edward immediately frowned.
“Where do you want to go?”
“Supermarket. I really want to buy and choose various ingredients for cooking myself. Don’t worry, I’ll buy them with my own money.”
Edward laughed. Bella still felt uncomfortable with him. Yet, after the intimate incidents they had experienced repeatedly, Edward felt that he and Bella were already very close to each other. So there was no need to feel uncomfortable.
“Of course, you can. I’ll take you wherever you want.”
“Yeayy! Thank you. You’re really kind.”
“Alright then, let’s go for dinner first. After that, I’ll take you to the supermarket.”
Carrying shopping bags, Edward led Bella to the car to then go to the restaurant. At one of the exclusive restaurants in the city center, Edward took Bella out for dinner.
If counted, this was already the umpteenth time they had eaten together. Just the two of them. Without anyone disturbing. That’s why Bella cherished this beautiful moment. She also realized that Julia was already home, how could she and Edward go out alone like this now?
“Thank you,” Bella expressed sincerely. A radiant smile was clearly visible on her beautiful face.
“Thank you for what?”
“Thank you for making me happy all day by taking me out.”
“With pleasure. If you’re happy, then my baby in your belly will surely be happy too.”
Bella kept her smile. She looked at Edward contentedly.
“You know? Up until now, I never imagined that you would be such a warm and cheerful person. Yet, when we first met, I thought you were arrogant and intimidating.”
“Oh, really?” Edward laughed. “But, even if I’m intimidating, I still look handsome, don’t I?”
Bella sighed. She just found out that Edward was overly confident.
“Excessive. But, once again, thank you so much for everything you’ve given me.”
Edward then invited Bella to toast. While enjoying dinner, they chatted about anything and everything.
After dinner, Edward kept his promise to take Bella to one of the supermarkets. When they arrived, with enthusiasm, Bella chose various ingredients for her to buy and cook at home.
Meanwhile, in another corner of the supermarket, unbeknownst to Edward and Bella, there was a figure of Aaron Carter. The man had been observing their interaction since earlier.
