“Are you sure your husband will be okay?”
Arron Carter asked with a serious expression, making sure to reassure Julia that what the woman was doing wouldn’t cause any trouble or issues later on.
Earlier, Julia did ask Edward for permission to attend the pre-workshop held at the convention hall. However, Julia had been done since two in the afternoon. Instead of heading straight back to the hotel, Julia went to have lunch and then joined Arrow to go to the man’s apartment.
“No need to worry. Besides, Edward never stays angry for long. I bet, in a few days, he’ll contact me and go back to being sweet as usual.”
This time, Arrow laughed. He was lying on the bed with Julia, then pulled her into his embrace.
Julia and Arrow had been close for a year now. In front of everyone, they appeared like a manager and a model working professionally.
Who would have thought that they were in a serious relationship? They often spent time together in bed. Just like now, for example.
“You’re wicked. If you don’t love him, why not just divorce him?”
Julia turned around. She looked at Arrow lying in front of her.
“How could I divorce Edward?”
“Because he’s wealthy?”
Julia nodded, confirming Arrow’s guess. As a modern woman, she didn’t want to be naive, especially not pretending to be oblivious.
“That’s one of the reasons.”
“Isn’t your income as a professional model also substantial?”
Again Julia nodded in agreement.
“You’re right. But not as much as the money Edward has been providing all this time. Besides, Edward’s family is so respected and powerful. I still need all of that to smooth my career.”
“Sly.”
This time Julia chuckled. She wasn’t offended by what Arrow said. After all, that was the reality.
“It has to be like that. Besides, I just want to be realistic. In this world, how could you possibly survive relying solely on love?”
“Yeah, your reasoning makes sense. But, I’ve been curious, why did you betray your husband?”
“Betray?” Julia repeated as if she didn’t agree.
“Yes,” Arrow nodded. “After all, Edward clearly doesn’t know what our relationship behind his back has been like. So what else would you call it if not betrayal?”
“Having fun, Arrow. The relationship we’ve had all this time is nothing more than having fun.”
“Okay. Whatever you want to call our relationship. But, back to Edward, I can see he’s the caring type of guy. In fact, it was clear that he loves you so much earlier. Could it be that Edward isn’t skilled in bed? Is that why you’re having fun with me?”
Laughter immediately burst from Julia’s lips. She laughed at Arrow’s accusation about Edward’s abilities in bed.
“Let me tell you, no one can satisfy me repeatedly like Edward can. I never doubt his ability in bed. It’s just that, you know, I’m a woman who’s too passionate and easily gets bored. Moreover, when there’s a schedule abroad, I can’t keep bringing Edward, who’s busy, just to satisfy me every night. That’s why I chose you to have fun with.”
Arrow laughed. He finally understood why Julia had been involved with him all this time. Actually, Arrow didn’t really care. After all, the most important thing when they met was that they both were satisfied and happy without needing to be tied to each other.
“In that case, I don’t need to feel guilty towards your husband for having slept with you multiple times.”
“Why feel guilty?” Julia replied casually. “After all, Edward doesn’t know either.”
“In that case, after this, I won’t hold back anymore. I’ll make you feel much more satisfied than what Edward does to you.”
Julia laughed mischievously. She looked at Arrow dismissively.
“Feel free to prove your words. You know I dislike men who talk too much, especially boasting.”
Without permission, Arrow kissed her. Adoring every inch of Julia’s exposed body intensely. He kissed her wet shoulders and neck. Proving his words by satisfying Julia until she couldn’t resist under his control.

As it was time for the routine check-up, Edward took Bella to the hospital this afternoon. Without Clara accompanying them and driving his own car, Edward took Bella to meet Samuel at St. Thomas Hospital.
“How’s Bella’s condition, Sam? Is there any problem?”
After conducting a thorough and careful examination, Samuel returned to his desk. The man then provided the explanation Edward had been waiting for.
“No problem. Bella’s condition looks normal. The fetus in her womb is also developing well. I like seeing its growth so good and healthy.”
“Thank God.”
Edward’s face looked relieved. Honestly, he was worried that something might happen to Bella’s pregnancy. But, hearing that Bella was fine, his anxiety vanished immediately.
“You don’t need to worry. As long as Bella can carry on with her normal activities, doesn’t complain, or experience anything unusual, you don’t need to be anxious.”
“Thank you very much for your help, Sam.”
“No need to exaggerate. This is my duty, Ed.”
Since it was done, Edward intended to take Bella home right away. But, Samuel stopped him and invited Edward to chat again.
“Do you want to go straight home? Don’t you want to join the others?”
Edward immediately frowned.
“Is there any schedule tonight?”
“Kairos invited all of us to gather at the shooting range. It’s been a while since we last practiced.”
“Oh God. It’s unusual for Kairos to invite us to practice at night.”
Samuel shrugged. He also didn’t know why his friend suddenly invited them to gather.
“I don’t know. There must be something happening, which is why he’s calling us to meet suddenly.”
Edward nodded understandingly.
“In that case, let me take Bella home first. After that, I’ll join you guys.”
“Why go back and forth?” Samuel asked then. “Just bring Bella to the shooting range. Besides, it won’t be dangerous.”
“Don’t joke, Sam,” Edward replied incredulously. “How could I bring Bella, who is pregnant.”
“Oh God, Edward. Nothing will happen. Besides, if you take Bella home first, your time will be wasted on the road. Just let Bella come along. Count it as her not getting stressed and knowing the outside world.”
Edward considered carefully the advice Samuel gave. Actually, he felt sorry because Bella had never once left the house except to go to the hospital. It must be boring being cooped up at home. He was also worried that it might make Bella stressed.
Convinced that nothing would happen to Bella, Edward agreed. He asked Bella to accompany him first.
“We’ll make a quick stop. My friends invited us to practice shooting tonight.”
Bella immediately looked puzzled.
“Is it okay if I come along? If you want, I can go home by myself, sir.”
“Don’t! Just come with me. Besides, I won’t take long.”
Since she didn’t dare to object, Bella agreed. She followed wherever Edward took her.
Arriving at the shooting range, Edward asked Bella to wait and watch. While Edward mingled with his friends who had arrived earlier and prepared to start the game.
As usual, Edward played and competed against Kairos, who always challenged him. After three rounds had passed and feeling satisfied, Edward ended the game and prepared to leave.
“I’m done.”
“Oh my God. It’s only been three rounds, Ed,” Kairos protested unsatisfied. “I haven’t even beaten you once.”
“That’s why I feel enough. Besides, it’s very boring to play against someone who always loses.”
“Damn!” Kairos cursed, displeased. “Anyway, you have to play against me one more time.”
“No,” Edward refused. He insisted on ending the game. “I have to go home soon. Don’t you see I brought Bella? She must be bored waiting for me.”
Kairos then diverted his gaze. Seeing Bella sitting alone, he took the initiative to approach her.
“Bella,” Kairos called confidently.
“Yes, sir?”
Kairos laughed. “Oh God. Why so formal? Just call me Kairos. By the way, do you want to play with me?”
Bella was puzzled for a moment. She was certainly confused by being suddenly invited to play by Edward’s friend.
“Play? Do you mean join in shooting?”
Kairos nodded.
“Yes.”
“Kairos,” Edward intervened as he approached. “Stop messing around.” Edward warned. He didn’t want Kairos to overstep.
“Who’s messing around?” Kairos protested. “I’m just inviting Bella to play. Nothing wrong with that, right? Besides, it’s not something dangerous.” Then Kairos turned back to Bella. “So, Bella? Do you want to give it a try?”
“But, I’m sorry. I really can’t shoot.”
Kairos smiled casually. Precisely because she couldn’t, Kairos was interested in teaching Bella how to play.
“Don’t worry. I’ll slowly teach you how to play.”
“Kairos,” Edward interjected once again. “Stop your nonsense. Bella needs to go home with me.”
Kairos didn’t care. He invited and pulled Bella to join him in entering the shooting range. Then Kairos chose a weapon, and he slowly taught and explained the steps Bella should take.
“So, you just need to aim the weapon you’re holding properly. Pull the trigger slowly. When you’re sure, release the bullet from its place.”
Then Kairos handed Bella an empty gun to practice on her own. Since she had never handled a gun before, Bella was confused about what to do.
“Is it really like this?” Bella asked, trying to follow what Kairos had explained earlier.
“Yes, you’re right. Then, aim your gun at the target board in front.”
Kairos then stood right behind Bella. He reached for her hand and helped her aim at the target board in front of them.
Meanwhile, Edward, who saw Kairos’s behavior, could only silently observe. Without diverting his gaze, he carefully watched whatever it was that Kairos was doing with Bella.
“When you’re confident with your target, slowly pull the trigger on the gun. Then release it, and afterward, check if you’ve hit the target you aimed at before.”
Bella tried to pull the trigger of the gun she was holding. Perhaps she was too excited, Bella pulled too hard. As a result, one of Bella’s fingers got pinched and started bleeding.
“Ouch!”
Bella screamed. Seeing blood coming from Bella’s finger, Kairos panicked and tried to help.
However, before he could provide assistance, Edward appeared and approached. He pulled Bella to go with him to the car.
“Give me your hand.”
Edward ordered. He had already taken out medication from the car’s dashboard and proceeded to clean Bella’s injured finger. He wiped it with alcohol, applied medicine, and then covered it with a plaster.
“It’s done.”
Edward released Bella’s wrist, which he had pulled without permission earlier.
“Thank you so much for your help, sir.”
Bella replied nervously. She didn’t expect Edward to do something unexpected like this. And she also felt sorry for causing trouble.
“Next time, if Kairos or anyone else you don’t know invites you to do something unnecessary, just refuse immediately. I don’t want something like this to happen again.”
Bella nodded. She followed what Edward had just instructed her to do.
