CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN
TYR’S POV
After hearing what my sister just told me this morning, I have come to the conclusion that this battle, this war, this tribulation, is no where close to coming to an end.
This is not a coincidence.
My sister and Astrid getting pregnant at once is never a coincidence. Something is cooking up somewhere and if we are not ready for it, it’s going to burn us all once it arrives.
Yes, the dagger has been destroyed.
Yes, my father is now invicible, but that doesn’t mean it is all over. We have to do more than just destroy the dagger and be invincible, we have to eliminate our enemies and the greatest enemy of all is Astrid, who happens to be under the protection of Alpha Asher. To get to Astrid, we will have to pass through him and I’m ready to do so.
I walk into my father’s bedroom with a frown plastered on my face. He keeps delaying the attack on the Crystal moon pack all because of Freya. I need to make him understand that if he wants to rule for eternally like he wishes, then he has to get rid of both Astrid and Asher right away.
“Father” I call as I stand before him.
My father looks up at me with a confused look, probably wondering why I’m frowning so early in the morning .
“Tyr, what’s wrong son? Who annoyed you?”
“Nobody father”
“Then what’s wrong? Why the long face?”
“Father, Freya just told me some every shocking news this morning, you will not like it when you hear it”
“Go on son, tell me already”
“She called to say that Astrid is pregnant and Alpha Asher is responsible for the pregnancy” I announce and the entire bedroom falls in death silence.
My father and I just stand still on our spots, casting confused glances at each other and I can tell from the way he is gritting his teeth that he is damn mad.
“Father…” I break the silence. “This is just the last straw. That guy is disrecspecting my sister in everyway. He has not only brought another woman into their matrimonial home but he has gotten her pregnant. Don’t you think it’s time to get rid of him?”
“Tyr, do you honesty think it’s that easy to “get rid” of an Alpha as you say? First, your sister will never forgive us if we do that, second, Asher is a true Alpha. He is faster, bigger and stronger than the two of us combined. He can take down hundreds of men at once. Killing him will not be an easy thing to do!”
“I know, but we have to do something, because all this does not look like a coincidence to me”
“What do you mean ?”
“Well, you and I know that Astrid is the true Alpha of this pack and now she has gotten pregnant for an Alpha and that means she is carrying another Alpha I’m her womb. Father this is not just happening for nothing. This is a message that is being sent. Doom is knocking at our doors and if we don’t wake up and flee or plan on how to fight it back, it will come in and destroy us all. These are signs that the worst is yet to come!” I explain and I can see my father panick in fear.
My words have gotten to him.
I’m not just saying to to scare him, or to intimidate him. I want him to open his eyes to the reality that this is not over yet! That there is a battle to fought and won ahead.
“Tyr, so right now, what do you suggest we do?”
Yes!
“Well father, we are going to do this strategically. First I would like us to attack the Crystal moon pack…”
“Your sister will not be too happy about that”
“We are not going to attack the castle, we are going to attack their subjects. We will gather more men and bring more slaves into this pack. The aim to start an uproar so it will be easy to bring up a battle.”
I explain and my father patrols around the bedroom, probably thinking critically about what I just said.
If he says yes, then I will be the happiest man on this earth.
“Are you sure this is going to work?”
“Father, you very well know this is not the first time we will be doing a thing like this. We have done this before with other packs and it has been a success, I see no reason why it won’t be a success with the Crystal Moon Pack. Just leave everything to me.”
“Alright then, if you say so. I give you the permission to gather some men and go over to the Crystal Moon pack. Cause as much trouble as you can, but don’t attack the castle. Is that clear?”
“Yes father, you have my word. We will leave tomorrow at noon. For now, I’m going to go rally the soldiers”
“Good”
“Excuse me” I bow down before making my way out of the bedroom with an evil smirk plastered on my lips.
They won’t even see it coming.
“Khan!” I call the man approaching me and he hastens his footsteps. When he is close, he bows his head as he murmurs an inaudible greeting that I could hardly care about.
What I’m about to tell him is lot more important than that greeting.
“How have you been?” I ask looking at him from head to toe. My father appointed him Beta of the pack sometime ago, but when he failed to bring back Astrid after she escaped, he was demoted to a castle guard. The Gamma become the Beta and a new gamma was appointed.
That act devastated Khan, but right now, I’m here to bring him hope.
“Not bad, Tyr”
“Good. Khan, I’ve got an offer for you and if you accept it and execute it properly, I will make sure you get back your position as Beta of this pack” I explain and immediately, his eyes light up with hope and determination.
“I will, just tell me Tyr, I will do whatever it is you want so I can please your father and have him take me back his Beta.”
“Good, now come with me” I lead him to my chambers.
I’m going to explain everything I want to him so he will lead the soldiers to the Crystal moon pack to cause havoc and demand for the slaves and soldiers.
I know I told my father I’m going to go there myself, but… Hello!
That is the Crystall Moon Pack we are talking about.
The most powerful pack in the world.
More to that, if I lead those soldiers to that pack, I will be the one to have an encounter with Alpha Asher.
I am nothin but a pup compared to him in terms of everything. He will break my bones before I even thrown a single punch.
I’m not ready to die right now.
This is just a test experiment and I do not intend to put my life on the line for it, that’s why I’m going to send Khan.
If he comes back, good, but if he doesn’t, I’m just going to send a letter of condolence and some money to his family.
But I, Tyr, will not be part of such a suicidal mission.
