CHAPTER SEVENTY
ASHER’S POV
“Asher, I don’t think now is a good time”
“Why do you say so?”
“Because she doesn’t want to see you”
“Arya, I know she doesn’t want to see me, but it’s important she does. Please, which room?”
“The one next to mine”
“Thank you”
I walk past her and head straight for the staircase.
I know this is wrong, but I have to see Astrid.
The last time I saw her was when we had that special money moment together, after which I promised her that I was going to fix everything, but I did not. Instead, I walked straight into Freya’s trap and right now, I’m married to her.
I understand if Astrid hates me, but still I need to see her. I need to talk to her. I need to make her understand that that I’m not in support of all this and most importantly to let her know that not all hope lost, because the moon goddess still hasn’t forgotten about us.
When I get to the door, I heave out a nervous sigh as I raise up my hand up and knock at the door.
I take a step backwards as I wait for her to open it up with both hands shoved into my pockets.
I don’t even know where I’m going to start from when I see her.
My heart misses a beat when I hear keys clicking from withing and with every sound that the door makes as she opens it, chunks of my heart cut off and fall into my stomach.
That is how nervous I am.
“Alpha Asher” Is the first thing she says the moment she sees my face.
“Hello, Astrid” I greet with a nervous smile and she quietly nods her head.
“Hi” She responds with a raspy voice.
I can tell from her swollen eyes and raspy voice that she has been crying all night and morning.
My poor Astrid.
“I… I.. we.. there’s a… there’s … a” I stutter nervously as I scratch my head, but she just stands there, looking at me like I have lost my mind. “Can I come in? There’s a lot of things we have to talk about”
“First, there is nothing for us to talk about, second, I don’t invite married men into my bedroom. Have a nice day Alpha Asher”
Bang!
She slams the door hard in my face and I shut my eyes.
Anger, frustration, sorrow, depression, anxiety.
Everything is all mixed up in my heart.
I don’t even know how to express those emotions.
Without warning, I burst into laughter as I walk away from the bedroom.
The only thing I can do now is laugh.
ADOLPH’S POV
The dagger has been destroyed and so have the nightmares and the sudden afflictions.
My daughter, Freya, is married to the love of her life and she is happy.
I am immortal again and I’m still Alpha of this pack.
Great accomplishments indeed.
What I need to do now, is kick off with my plan for global dominance.
My first mission was to get this pack from Alpha Tarlishi and I did, but something went wrong and the dagger set in. For the past fifteen years, I couldn’t move on with my plans because I had no idea how to get the dagger that could end my life, but now that it has been destroyed and there is nothing that my enemies can use against me, I can ride on with my plans.
I have to take total control of all the packs in this world and I’m going to start with the Crystal Moon pack.
Alpha Asher is a weakling and I can easily overthrown him. I am going to take over his pack as Paramount Alpha and he is going to rule under me, that is my next mission for that pack.
Oncee I’m done with his, I will move to the next pack and do same.
I will keep doing so until I have conquered all the packs in this world.
Until I become the Paramount Alpha.
“Father” Freya calls as she walks into the living room, looking so royal and gorgeous. Now that she is Luna, she has been given more gold and diamond ornaments and she even has a crown of her own.
She looks so happy and that brings me joy.
Freya is the photocopy of her mother, who was my mate, but because I did not love her(my mate) all that much, Freya doesn’t really remind me of her.
“Father, good day to you father” She greets as she gives me a gentle peg on my left cheek.
“Good day to you too daughter. You seem to be glowing as the days go by, marriage really looks good on you”
“Father, being Luna of a pack is the best thing that has ever happened to me!” She squeals in excitement and I just smile, because I understand her.
Power is everything.
When I used to be an ordinary Beta, I used to detest serving the Alpha. I hated the way he was feared and respected and I wanted a that fear amd respect and honour for myself, that’s why I killed him.
Right now, I have it all.
The subjects who used to look down on as an ordinary Beta now call me their Alpha and that’s not enough. I want all the werewolves in this world to call me their Alpha.
That is how much I love power.
“I can see you are having a very good time over there”
“Oh, you have no idea!”
“I’m happy to hear that. Have a seat, there is something I want us to discuss”
“What’s that?” She asks, taking the seat opposite my throne.
“Well, you and your brother know about my plan for global dominance. The only thing stopping me was that dagger and right now that it has been destroyed, I think it was about time I begin!”
“Oh… okay”
“And I want to start with the crystal Moon pack”
“That is my pack”
“Yes. You know that pack is the most powerful pack in this world, once I conquer it, the others will be easy cake” I explain and her expression changes.
“Father, I just got married to Alpha Asher. You know you taking over that pack is going to cause conflict, why don’t you give me some time to enjoy my marriage first?”
“But…”
“Father… please. I promise I will get Alpha Asher to fall in love with me and once that happens, it will be easier for him to hand over his power to you. If you just give me some time, I will make that happen. I promise” She pleads and I look at her long and hard.
Apart from the fact that she is my daughter and I always give her what she asks for, I also trust her when she says that she will get that Alpha to fall in love with her. That way, it will be easy for me to get what I want. There will he no need for a battle.
She has a brilliant point.
“I think you have a point there. I’m going to start with other packs. You take care of Alpha Asher, I trust you to do that”
“Thank you very much father” She thanks with a relieved smile and I nod.
However, if she fails, I will do whatever it takes to get that pack for myself, even if it means decapitating Alpha Asher and pinning his head on a spike infront of his castle.
