Chapter 470 What Should We Do Now?

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

Melanie’s temples were cracked from Credence’s punch and blood was spurting out of her wound. Red and white liquid was smeared all over her face, and it made her look extraordinarily horrible.
Unfortunately, the blood obscured her vision, and her line of sight got blurry. It was so blurry that the knife in her hand didn’t pierce into Credence or Dorothy’s body. Instead, she stabbed it at a concrete pillar, and she couldn’t pull it out.
That very next second, a cold and familiar rush of wind rushed over like a tornado. It went straight towards Melanie and struck her neck. It hurt so much that she had no time to catch her breath. She fell to the ground and didn’t get up again.
Credence had paralyzed Melanie with a few punches. He had almost used up all his strength and was at his limit. His breathing was unstable, it was obviously difficult for him to breathe, but he couldn’t lie down to rest. He clenched his teeth and held on to the very last bit of strength he had, dragging Dorothy’s suspended body over the railing. He carried her to a safe area two meters away from the concrete railing before heaving a sigh of relief. He lifted his rough fingers and caressed her pale face that was full of tears and dust. “Honey, this is all my fault, you’ve been so badly tormented. I’m sorry, I’m so sorry!”
“It’s all right, cough, it’s all over. Melanie, she…”
Was she dead?
Dorothy suddenly stopped and swallowed back the words in her mouth. She saw a figure behind Credence pouncing fiercely towards them. The glint of a blade flickered, giving off a terrifyingly dangerous light. The knife was aimed precisely at his neck.
When she saw that the sharp blade was about to pierce his neck, Dorothy went into a panic. It was too late for her to warn him, so she quickly pulled on his arms. They stumbled about, but she managed to pull him away repeatedly.
She thought that Melanie wanted to take his life, so she anxiously tried to pull him back.
But no one could have imagined that Melanie would swing past Credence’s head with the tip of her knife and ruthlessly stab her bulging body.
If Dorothy really had been stabbed by Melanie, then she would have lost her unborn child.
At that moment, Dorothy’s face turned pale, she was so scared, she felt her soul had jumped out of her body.
Credence didn’t turn around. He could feel a chilly sensation behind him, and it made his hair stand on end.
There was no need to think about it, it had to be Melanie. She must have struggled to get up so she could finish them off.
At that crucial moment, he took advantage of Dorothy’s strength to firmly hold her in his arms. He shielded her with his back and allowed it to collide with the knife.
“Shunk!” A wet and loud noise rang out!
The blade pierced into his flesh, then it was pulled out. An ear-piercing roar of pain broke the night’s silence.
“Credence, you’ve been cut and stabbed at least eight times now. If you keep bleeding like this, you’ll definitely die! Is it really worth giving up your life for this weak b*tch?”
She didn’t hit Dorothy’s abdomen. Instead, Credence had protected her once again. Melanie grew even angrier.
She suddenly burst into laughter as she tightly held the dagger in her hand. She stabbed Credence’s major arteries fiercely with her sharp blade. “Alright, Credence, if you really wish to die, then I’ll make that happen!”
Since she couldn’t have him while he was alive, then it meant that she would finally have him all to herself when he was dead!
Melanie was thinking like an insane woman. She was caught off guard, and the dagger in her hand was snatched away by Credence. In the next second, the tip of the sharp knife had been plunged in between her eyebrows and into her skull, the end of the knife could be seen from the back of her head!
She shouted, “Arghh… ”
With a short cry of pain, Melanie’s entire body suddenly trembled, and her body fell heavily onto the patch of grass. Her jaw slacked and she stopped breathing. She could no longer inhale, and only a painful hissing sound could be heard from her now lifeless body.
“Credence, that was too much!”
Melanie tilted her head. She stared at Credence with a pair of blood-red eyes that were as red as a viper’s. Bloody bubbles fizzled in her mouth, her body trembled as blood flowed out profusely.
She could tell that the man’s straight and slender body was convulsing in pain, yet he was still gently holding onto Dorothy in his arms. He used a low and charming voice to comfort her, with so much tenderness they looked very sweet together.
So he did have a heart. He just never showed it to her.
Melanie’s pupils began to spin slowly. A single angry tear slowly flowed out from her ferocious eyes and into her mouth. It tasted bitter.
She was about to die, what about him?
He had a wife, he had children, he could live happily for the rest of his life. He didn’t even look at her anymore, and he treated her passion for him like a pile of dirty trash.
If he wasn’t benevolent, then she wouldn’t be either!
After taking one last deep breath, Melanie suddenly jumped up and reached out to wrap her arms around Credence’s neck, she then threw herself at the other side of the railing.
Even if she were to die, she would drag this man along with her!
If she could not have him while she was alive, then she would drag him down with her to the grave.
Melanie was on the verge of death, but she managed this incredible feat from all the hatred in her heart. She tightened her grip around Credence’s neck, and with a swift lunge, she turned around and rushed out of the railings.
Credence had let his guard down. His body was dragged backward by Melanie. Just as he was about to fall into the dark abyss, his eyes dimmed. In an instant, he released his embrace from Dorothy. With his bloodied left hand, he grabbed onto the cement railings and hung on the ledge as Melanie hung from his neck.
With a “pfft”, Melanie spat out the blood in her mouth, and with what strength she had left, she desperately tugged Credence’s neck down.
In the bleak night wind, she was like a woman who had gone insane. She laughed maniacally. “Credence, stop these meaningless struggles. Tonight, you will die with me and fall into the abyss. You will be with me even in death!”
Even when she was at the end of her life, she was still having these impossible delusions.
Credence laughed, as he nimbly moved his right hand to his back. He took a deep breath and pulled out the dagger that was stuck deep into his back. He stabbed Melanie’s body without a pause.
After stabbing her three times in a row, he was almost out of breath, then he stopped. When he caught his breath, he continued to stab her.
Melanie was like a dead dog hanging onto Credence’s body. She relied on her hatred to continue living to take her revenge.
She did not expect Credence to be so cruel to her. He ignored the danger of losing more blood and pulled out the dagger on his back to stab her multiple times, and the knife almost stabbed through her bones, it was deadly.
“Credence… How great my life would be if I had never met you!”
She wouldn’t have fallen for him. Her obsession for him had turned her into such a monster, so much so that she had lost her life!
Before she fell unconscious, Melanie whispered. She slowly let go of Credence’s neck. Like a kite loose from a broken string, she helplessly fell down the abyss.
The whole process only lasted a few seconds.
When Melanie’s body disappeared into the night, Dorothy, who was in a daze, reacted. She quickly walked over, grabbed Credence’s arm with both hands, and sobbed. “Can you hold on? Come on, I’ll help you climb up.”
“Of course I have to climb up. I still have to protect you and our child, we have to go back to Talco City together.”
Credence’s blood-covered arm was trembling. He tried to climb up the railing, but he was too weak that he couldn’t do it no matter how hard he tried.
The wound on his back, as well as every other wound on his body still had blood spurting out.
In the dead silence of the night, the scent of blood continued to flow out, it made people feel sad and bitter in their hearts.
Dorothy held on tightly to Credence’s right hand and felt how moist it was. She knew very well that it was blood from his body. Her heart immediately trembled and her face was full of tears. She sobbed, “Credence, you’ve used up all your strength. You won’t be able to hold on for much longer. What do we do now? How can I pull you up… how can I save you?”
