Chapter 434 Sooner Or Later, She Will Come Back To Me

Ysabelle stopped and turned to look at Jeremy. A glaringly cold and evil light flashed in his eyes.
Although Jeremy’s tone closely resembled how it usually was, sarcastic and cruel, she could hear a hint of maliciousness within.
From the moment he had the ability to resist her, from the moment he completely controlled the Sherman family business, her biological son’s attitude towards her had always been like this. It was cold and piercing, full of hatred and disgust as if she were his sworn enemy, someone he wanted nothing more than to murder.
At first, when her son was very young, she only vented all her pain and anger on him when she was in a bad mood.
She whipped him with a belt and would beat him mercilessly. She hated him for not being able to win his father’s favor and for being a burden to her.
However, she didn’t beat and whip him to death, did she?
She never thought that he would hate her after so many years. From the looks of it, he might hate her until the day she died.
“Jeremy, I know you hate me. Your hands are stained with the blood of countless people, so you might not mind adding me to your record. But don’t forget, I am your mother. You won’t be able to get rid of that fact no matter how hard you try.”
Ysabelle’s expression changed. She looked furious, but soon, the look on her face returned to its usual gentleness. She said with a smile, “Alright, let’s not talk about unpleasant things. Let’s talk about some happy things! Today, Yezoo and I will be reunited with our biological daughter, and you will also acknowledge her as your younger sister. This is a happy occasion, could you please not be on bad terms with me?”
Yezoo reached out and squeezed her cold fingers. He sighed and said, “It has been so many years, don’t you know Jeremy’s character by now? He only talks that way. If he really wanted to settle the past with you, would you still be standing here?”
He had never approved of Ysabelle venting all her anger on a young Jeremy, even before they got married. He knew it would cause irreparable damage to his body and his mental state.
However, since it had already happened, holding her accountable for what she did wouldn’t change anything.
Would Jeremy tie Ysabelle up and whip her as recompense?
Impossible, that would be absurd!
Jeremy stepped forward and stared at Yezoo. He lazily tapped the ashes off his cigarette, narrowed his eyes, and smiled coldly, “Uncle Yezoo, you must be joking. The reason why I haven’t attacked Mrs. Sherman is that I haven’t decided on what kind of instrument of torture I should use to make her feel all the pain that I’ve suffered.”
After that, he glared back at Ysabelle, whose face was deathly pale. He stared at her blankly.
After a while, Jeremy smiled at his so-called mother. He slowly reached out to remove the lit cigar from his thin lips, spun it around, and aimed the red burning end of the cigarette towards the side of Ysabelle’s face. He squinted, and a feeling of repressed anger emanated from him. “Mrs. Sherman, in my mind, you’ve already died a thousand times.”
Upon hearing this, Yezoo raised his head and looked at Jeremy. He shook his head in disagreement and said, “Jeremy, however you feel about it, Ysabelle is your mother. There is no reason for a son to curse his mother to death.”
“Uncle Yezoo, she has never thought of me as her son. Why should I think of her as my mother? I am only a man who’s killed countless people, my hands have been stained with an insane amount of blood. I only care about profits, I don’t give a d*mn about family.”
Jeremy turned around and stared at Yezoo with a frown. He raised his eyebrows and smiled coldly, “Uncle Yezoo, over the years, you’ve shown that you really love Mrs. Sherman. You love her and take her as something more important than gold. But don’t you know how little she loves you? As men, we shouldn’t be so lascivious. Otherwise, you might never see the true colors of the woman you’re sleeping with!”
Yezoo frowned. “Jeremy, what do you mean by that?”
“What do I mean…”
Jeremy threw the cigarette butt, which was about to burn his fingertips, into the ashtray. He turned his head and stared at Ysabelle, who was pretending to stay calm, and let out a sinister laugh. “Uncle Yezoo, you’d better ask Mrs. Sherman about it yourself!”
“Yezoo, don’t listen to Jeremy’s nonsense.”
Ysabelle’s eyes twitched. She could no longer pretend to be calm. She hurriedly walked to Yezoo, bent down, and placed her upper body on one of the armrests of the wheelchair. She stretched out her soft, fair hands that were well maintained and held on to Yezoo’s arm. She looked extremely sad and said, “Yezoo, you know how I’ve treated you all these years! Thirty years ago, you ignored all the pressure from your father and your family, you insisted on marrying me. Back then, I told myself that I could let anyone down in my life, anyone but you, Yezoo. I can’t let you down! I love you very much. How could I ever be unloyal to you?”
Yezoo raised his other hand and gently patted Ysabelle’s shoulder, “Don’t be so anxious. We have been together for over 30 years. If I don’t trust you, who else can I trust?”
After calming her pensive mood, he suddenly turned his head and looked at Jeremy with his heavy eyebrows. He said calmly, “Jeremy, you shouldn’t make such jokes again in the future.”
“Uncle Yezoo, is it fun to continue lying to yourself like that?” Jeremy smiled, but his eyes were stern. Then, he turned to look at Ysabelle, who was staring back at him. He slowly smiled, but it looked more like a sneer. It was cold and frightening.
He only stared at her, remaining silent. Ysabelle felt a cold chill rising from the bottom of her heart.
Her son was getting more and more frightening. She had no idea how much he knew about her.
At that moment, the elevator doors opened. Juelz and Germaine stepped out of the elevator together.
Seeing Germaine, Jeremy put away the sneer on his face and walked past Ysabelle, taking away the horrible cold atmosphere with him. He stopped looking at her and walked straight to the elevator. He glanced lazily at Germaine but spoke to Ysabelle.
“Mrs. Sherman, you could never forget about Sheldon. Who could Sheldon be? Why don’t you let everyone know about him.”
Ysabelle’s body trembled. Her body stiffened and her mouth was agape. She wanted to retort, but couldn’t manage to say anything.
She knew that at this critical moment, it would only be harmful to say anything else, so she remained silent.
On the other side, Germaine saw Jeremy walking towards her. He didn’t enter the elevator, instead, he only stared at her with an evil look for some time. She resisted the urge to slap him, then stepped on her high heels and quickly squeezed to the left of Juelz, widening the distance between them as she tried to ignore him.
She had barely taken two steps when she faintly heard Jeremy’s sinister laughter coming from behind her. “Germaine, I’m in a good mood today, so I’m going to let you hide from me for a few days. It’s alright! Besides, sooner or later, you will come to me and beg for Belle’s life!”
