As soon as Marvin left the hospital, Juelz spotted him. He had been waiting in his car and keeping his eye on the entrance of the hospital.
Seeing the other party’s cold and solemn expression, Juelz knew that something bad had happened. He quickly got out of the car and hurried towards Marvin.
“Mr. Jules, what a coincidence! Could you tell me how Dory is doing? Also, how is Credence’s operation?”
“Juelz, if you want to know about their situation, you can go in and take a look yourself,” Marvin narrowed his eyes and spoke in a cold way. “Or, have you realised your mistakes, and are feeling embarrassed to face the two of them?”
Juelz did not expect his words to be so sharp as to render him speechless. He paused, frowned slightly, and his handsome face was covered with thinly veiled anger as he replied, “Mr. Jules, I’ll admit that what I did was a mistake. However, Dory and Credence should be the only ones criticising me about it, not you.”
“I am in a rush to save someone, I don’t have time for this.”
Marvin raised his eyebrows and cast a cold glare at Juelz. Then, he lit a cigarette, took a few deep puffs, and was ready to turn around and leave.
“Who are you going to save?” Juelz asked out of curiosity.
“Germaine.”
Marvin didn’t even turn back before throwing her name out and leaving.
Juelz was stunned for a moment, and asked after him incredulously, “What happened to Germaine?”
“I don’t know the details.” Marvin turned to look at him with a calm expression on his face. “Dorothy just received a distress call from her, and she heard her shouting for help. She tried calling her back, but Germaine didn’t pick up. Something might have happened to her, so I’m going to take a look.”
“No need for that, I’ll go instead.”
Juelz had received a phone call from Dorothy before about Germaine. She had told him that she was going to find Jeremy to seek justice for her.
Therefore, as long as he could find Jeremy, he would be able to find Germaine.
Since Juelz was blocking his way, Marvin did not insist. He cast him a sharp glance and put one hand into his pocket as he spoke, “Okay, I won’t go. You should call Dorothy and explain it to her.”
“I’ll get going and call her on the way.”
After that, Juelz hurriedly got into his Rolls-Royce and started the engine. He immediately headed for Talco Hotel.
He had a certain degree of knowledge of Jeremy’s movements. It was Wednesday, and Jeremy was always at Talco Hotel’s presidential suite on this day, though nobody knew what he was doing there.
…
Along the way, while waiting at a red light, Juelz gave Dorothy a call and told her about what he was doing.
He informed her that he had stopped Marvin, and that he would go in his place. After all, Germaine was his cousin, and he had a relationship with Jeremy, though complicated. As such, the effects of him negotiating with Jeremy would be better than Marvin’s efforts.
Dorothy did not object to Juelz’s arrangements. She only told him to be careful and to call her once he found Germaine.
“Alright, sure thing.”
Juelz looked at the traffic lights and found that there was one second left until it turned green. He put down the phone and stepped on the accelerator. He sped his way to the hotel like a cheetah hunting its prey.
Meanwhile, in the luxurious presidential suite, Germaine’s body was covered in bloody wounds. Her arm felt like it was going to be whipped off of her body, and she laughed coldly, her voice hoarse.
“You freak, you torturous maniac. Just you wait… once I’m saved, I’ll return the favour tenfold! I’ll kill you!”
D*mn it, everything hurt so much.
After tormenting her for close to an hour and a half, Jeremy could feel the ruthlessness in his body calming down. He felt unbelievably refreshed.
He heard the woman’s hoarse cursing and frowned. For some strange reason, he felt that this woman, who he’d cruelly whipped, reminded him of Germaine.
His eyes had long since adapted to the darkness in the room. Even if he didn’t turn on the lights, he could still see and move around freely without bumping into anything in that moment.
So, Jeremy smiled a little and decided to stop what he was doing. He casually threw the belt to the side of his feet and slowly walked towards the woman who was twitching painfully on the floor. He used the tip of his black leather shoes to lift the messy hair off her face so that he could see her. He lowered his head to take a look.
Even so, the woman’s face was too mutilated to gaze upon. No matter how long he looked at her, he could not recognise her as her face had swelled up too badly. He could not even see her facial features clearly.
After Jeremy’s dark, menacing aura subsided, he took out a white handkerchief from the pocket of his trousers and wiped his slender hands, which was stained with blood, in a slow and careful manner. His voice was as cold as ice as he spoke. “Get out. Find the man who brought you in just now and ask him to give you another 50, 000 dollars.”
Wilson had always been the one to do these things for him. As such, Jeremy thought that Wilson had been the one to send this woman to him to vent out his anger this time as well.
However, he did not expect that the man had transferred that task to two of his bodyguards, Blade and Locus.
“F*ck off! I’m not short of money, I don’t need it!”
Germaine shrank back, trembling with anger. Blood at the corner of her eye blurred her vision, and she couldn’t see the maniac’s face clearly.
However, that did not stop her from cursing loudly, “You b*stard, f*ck you! I’ll add on another million dollars for me to whip you in return! I’ll consider myself unlucky if you make it out alive!
The way she spoke made Jeremy’s face tense. A flash of recognition suddenly flashed in his mind, and his fingers hurriedly flipped the light switch and lit up the chandelier that was hanging on the ceiling.
With the sudden appearance of the bright light, Jeremy could finally see Germaine’s familiar face. He could not tear his gaze away from her.
In that instant, his eyes filled with anxiety. His heart sank, and he felt like he’d been pierced by a thousand arrows.
This was the first time he had felt regretful over what he had done.
His fingers trembled as he rushed up to Germaine and hugged her twitching, bloody body to him. There was deep regret behind his eyes as he stammered. “Germaine… why are you here?”
Wilson, that f*cking useless piece of sh*t, how could he send Germaine to his suite?!
He couldn’t believe that he had treated Germaine like a money hungry prostitute. He had completely exposed his inhumane and ruthless side to her, and he felt so embarrassed, as if he had been stripped naked in front of her.
He was finished!
He was truly finished!
Even if Germaine was willing to forgive him, he would never be able to forgive himself.
Hearing this, Germaine slowly raised her head, her angry eyes blurred by a layer of blood. She recognised the maniac that had tormented her for the past hour and a half as Jeremy, and her eyes widened with disbelief. She started trembling violently, her teeth knocking against each other.
She stared at him, her eyes almost falling out of its sockets. She shrieked, “Jeremy, tell me the f*cking truth. Are you even a human?”
“I begged you for mercy so many times. I begged and pleaded for you to stop. It hurts so much, I feel like dying. But why didn’t you listen to me? Why did you do that to me? Why?”
Germaine broke free of Jeremy’s embrace with all her strength and dragged her bloody body back. Her beautiful eyes were filled with tears, and they didn’t have their usual light.
“Jeremy, you’re a monster, a complete devil! I don’t want to love a devil like you anymore. You’re too horrible, you’ve caused me so much pain!”
“Germaine, no, please don’t be scared. You don’t have to be afraid of me. I really didn’t mean to hurt you!”
Jeremy opened his arms and rush up to her in a panic. He wanted to embrace her from the front.
When she saw him approach her, Germaine began to back away. She didn’t know if she would ever let this man touch her ever again.
In the midst of her struggle, her torn dress was pulled off, and it revealed her fair, voluptuous chest.
Germaine was caught off guard, and she met Jeremy’s deep, dark gaze. She quickly used her hands to protect her chest, painful and sorrowful tears quickly forming in her eyes.
“Get lost! Get the f*ck away from me!”
