Chapter 285 Get Others To Do The Dirty Work

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

While Credence and Marvin led a large number of people to search for Dorothy everywhere in the distant suburbs of Talco City, Dorothy had been taken to the villa at the south of the city that Wilson had arranged.
Wilson didn’t show up. He’d instructed his men to bring Dorothy to a room at the top floor and arranged for someone to stand guard outside her door round the clock.
The top floor was about seven or eight meters away from the ground, so there was no need to worry that Dorothy could escape.
Upon Wilson’s summon, Hugo quietly looked at Wilson’s face, which was darker than ink. He smiled uneasily. “Mr. Wilson, you can’t blame me for all of this. That person who was supposed to do that was not feeling well, and since it was urgent, he asked me to take his place.”
“Dorothy was just too beautiful. I couldn’t control myself and I went up to have a taste of her.”
“Mr. Wilson, can you spare me this time for the sake of how loyal I was to you?”
“If I spare you, who’s going to spare me?”
Wilson sneered. Without hesitation, he kicked Hugo the ground and started beating him up. Each punch landed on Hugo’s abdomen.
Wilson only narrowed his eyes and sneered when Hugo howled in pain, blood coming out of his mouth. “You will only do what I tell you to do. Do not act on your own accord and take me as an idiot.”
As he said that, Wilson kicked Hugo’s waist again. “Don’t play dead. Get up! From now on, we don’t welcome you. Get the f*ck out of here!”
D*mn it, if his boss and Germaine couldn’t get along well because of what happened to Dorothy, he would definitely kill this b*stard.
Hugo’s mind went blank. He did not know why Wilson wanted to beat him up so badly. But when he sensed Wilson’s murderous intent, he knew that if he did not leave as soon as possible, he would really die.
“Alright, I’ll go! I’ll go right now!”
Hugo coughed several times and spat out the blood in his throat. He glared at Wilson and dragged himself out of there.
As he walked out of the villa, he received a call from a number that he was familiar with.
A young woman’s seductive voice came from the other end. “Hugo, is that b*tch Dorothy in your hands now?”
When he heard Rosalie’s voice, Hugo was so shocked he almost dropped his phone. “Is that you, Rosalie? You’re alive?!”
“I haven’t avenged the Fisher family yet. How can I die just like that?” Rosalie sneered. “First things first, since Dorothy’s in your hands, quickly sleep with her if you want to and get out of there! Don’t be sending videos around like that!”
“Do you know that Jeremy has a copy of that video, and he’s sent it to Credence?”
“With Credence’s brains, he’ll find you and save Dorothy soon enough. Bring her over to me before he gets you. I have a thousand and one ways to make her suffer.”
After a severe scolding from Rosalie, Hugo’s head drooped. He flipped through his phone and realised that he’d sent the video to Wilson by accident.
Wilson must have forwarded it to Jeremy.
He hadn’t expected that he himself had ruined his plans. Angrily, Hugo clutched at his chest and said sullenly, “Dorothy’s not in my hands anymore. Wilson has her locked up on the top floor of the villa, and there’s someone watching over her round the clock. It’ll be really difficult to get her out.”
“You are really useless.”
Rosalie leaned against the cold wall of the bathroom. She ran her fingers over her scarred skin, her hand clenching around her phone. Her bloody body trembled, partly because of the pain, and partly because of hatred.
Jeremy had brought her to a hotel nearby, and had started whipping her the moment they stepped into the room.
When it wasn’t being used as a whip, it was normally around Jeremy’s waist and acted as a belt.
He was a f*cking maniac, carrying a whip around with him wherever he went!
If it weren’t for Dorothy getting on Credence’s father’s good side and eventually winning his heart, how would she have given herself to a monster like Jeremy?
Rosalie’s aura was frosty, and a cold smile slowly formed on her lips. “Listen to me and do what I say, I guarantee that you’ll be able to get your hands on Dorothy again. Once you’re done, find a place to hide and leave her in one of the slums at the city’s north. There are plenty of thugs there, and you don’t have to bother about what happens next.”
Hugo was a little unhappy. “Why should I leave her in the slums? I can kill her on my own.”
“That’s if you’re not dead before you kill her.” Rosalie laughed sinisterly. “Aren’t you familiar with Credence’s abilities? I’m saying this for your own good.”
What an idiot. If they could get someone else to do the dirty work, why did they have to do it themselves?
It seemed that Hugo finally understood what she meant. He quickly agreed and asked Rosalie for a sum of money.
Money made the world go round, after all.
Once Wilson left, he’d bribe the other men with some money and take Dorothy away.
Hugo hastily bandaged his bruised chest at a clinic nearby, then went to withdraw money from a bank nearby. He put the money in a nondescript bag and hurried back to the villa. He sat in a car and waited for Wilson to leave.
Hugo saw Wilson driving out of the villa at around eight o’clock.
This was his chance.
Hugo took a deep breath. He dragged his sore body and walked to the bedroom on the top floor where Dorothy was locked up. He took out a bundle of money from the plastic bag and stuffed it forcefully into the arms of two robust men. He smiled very sincerely. “Thanks for your hard work, guys. This is just a little token of appreciation. When I was coming upstairs, I ran into Mr. Wilson. He said that he had something important to tell you, and he’s waiting for you in the conference room on the first floor.”
The two burly men didn’t know that Wilson had already kicked Hugo out. They took the money and exchanged looks. They were just about to give Wilson a call when a strong blow landed on their necks.
They hadn’t even had time to make a sound before they collapsed on the ground.
Hugo threw away the metal stick he’d hidden behind his waist and smiled sinisterly. He kicked the door open, then dragged Dorothy up from the sofa and out of the room. “Come on, I’ll bring you somewhere where you can die satisfied.”
