Chapter 216 It Hurts, I Can’t Bear Her

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

“Dory…”
Juelz was just about to help Dorothy up, but the man moved faster than he did.
A gust of wind swept past Juelz’s face. The next second, Credence had grabbed Dorothy and flung her bag into Benjamin’s hands.
His actions were firece and forceful.
Dorothy cried out in pain and fell backwards. “Ah!”
Juelz’s face darkened and reached his hands to hold her.
When Credence saw this, he showed a cold smile, grabbed Dorothy’s fair and slender wrist, and forcefully pulled her to his side to avoid Juelz’s actions.
Dorothy’s heart was already in a mess because of Belle’s disappearance. At this moment, as she was being violently pulled around by that man, her stomach felt even more uncomfortable, and she wanted to puke.
This caused her to frown. She could not help but glare at that annoying man with her eyes wide open, “Credence, what are you doing?”
His deep facial features were as cold as frost, and a dangerous and cold smile could be seen on his lips. He looked at her reddish eyes, and a hint of tenderness could be heard in his cold voice, “Tell me, where did you lose your daughter?”
During this period of time in the hospital, she had devoted herself to take care of him. Perhaps part of it was because of the shares he had given to her, but in reality,  she was driven by her heart.
This was strange. In their marriage six years ago, she had taken care of him and bore his temper too. However, he was blinded by hatred and revenge at that time, so he only thought that everything she did was with evil intentions.
It was only now when he looked back that he realized how wrong he had been.
This stubborn woman with delicate facial features had given him all her love in their four-year marriage. She truly loved him and did not want any power, status, or wealth from him, not even his good looks.
He had given up such a pure and wonderful woman like her so easily. What a jerk he was!
Fortunately, it still wasn’t too late when he had come to his senses!
His warm and gentle attitude calmed Dorothy’s panic down. She sniffed and repeated what Juelz said just now. Then, she raised her head and stared nervously at the man’s deep and narrow eyes. She said in a hoarse voice as if there was something stuck in her throat, “To take revenge on me, Rosalie deliberately found someone to kidnap my daughter. She is ill, I don’t know how long she can last… Credence, I know your abilities. As long as you are willing to help me, you can definitely save Belle. Please, you have to help me!”
Credence, oh Credence, it is because Belle is your daughter as well.
Saving your own daughter is perfectly justifiable!
Dorothy had never thought of asking Juelz for his help from the very beginning.
Given Rosalie’s viciousness, who knew how many strong men she had arranged to wait for them there?
She could not continue dragging Juelz into trouble, nor did she want anything to happen to him.
She selfishly thought that it would be best to not let Juelz get involved in this. After all, she could not just let him help her and treat her well unconditionally like that.
Looking at Dorothy’s tearful eyes, Credence’s heart skipped a beat. For the first time in his life, he experienced a complex feeling of pain and pity mixed into one.
He coldly glanced at the reluctant and gloomy Juelz, then he ordered Benjamin, “Drive the car over, we’re going to the amusement park at once.”
Not all traces of kidnapping could be eliminated completely in such a short amount of time.
If they searched carefully, they would surely find some clues.
If they could find any clues, then it meant that he could make a breakthrough.
A vicious woman like Rosalie was like a ticking time bomb. There was no telling when she would suddenly appear and hurt Dorothy and her daughter. She could not be forgiven.
At that moment, Credence’s heart was filled with killing intent.
Dorothy was still in a daze when she was carried to the backseat of the Maybach. When she came to her senses, Benjamin had already driven the car out of the hospital.
Through the car window, she could see Juelz standing in the same spot with a look of disbelief and sadness on his face.
The look in his eyes was so sad that Dorothy could not bear to look straight at it. Her heart suddenly sank. She knew that he was disappointed because she had entered Credence’s car.
After thinking for a while, she tried to calm herself down and said, “Juelz, I’ll go back to the apartment after this trip.”
This sentence was very normal for her, but it made Juelz happier. He smiled and said, “Alright, come back as soon as you can. I will wait for you in the apartment.”
They were only having a normal interaction, however, in Credence’s eyes, she was flirting with another man right in front of him. However, his relationship with Dorothy had just begun to improve, so he didn’t want to interfere too much.
He held back his anger and glanced at her with no emotions. Suddenly, an obscure thought flashed in his eyes.
Dorothy was concerned about Belle’s safety, so she was not in the mood to talk. She leaned back in her chair silently and closed her eyes to rest. All of a sudden, she felt the air surrounding her turn cold, and she felt a chill on her neck. She couldn’t help but look at the person sitting next to her. She gritted her teeth. “I’m cold. Can you sit in front, or maybe get Benjamin to stop the car so I can sit in front.”
“Why, you don’t want to be with me?”
Credence thought that he was already tolerating her to the max, but the moment she opened her mouth to shoo him away, he lost all his forbearance. He suddenly reached out to grab her wrist then pulled her into his warm embrace. His eyes were colder than frost, “Are you still thinking of Juelz?”
Who the f*ck was thinking about him!
Dorothy couldn’t understand why he was suddenly furious. She was so angry that she almost swore.
He was using too much strength, and she felt that her wrist bones were about to be crushed. She hissed and gasped from the pain. Looking at his expressionless face, she slowly smiled and tears could be seen in her eyes.
“The only person I’m thinking about is Belle! She is not even six years old yet, and she should’ve been having a pleasant day at the amusement park. Who would have thought Rosalie would be this insane…
Credence, I don’t care whether you believe me or not. Right now, I just want to find Belle. As for men and relationships, I daren’t even think about it. The pain you have brought to me is too deep, it hurts too much.”
As she said that, her eyes got red. She struggled to break away from the man’s embrace and pointed to her heart with her white and soft finger. The pain in her heart was getting worse and worse.
The sunlight seeped in and shone on her eyes. The tiny golden lights flashed through and hurt her tear-streaked eyes even more. “Credence, do you know? I don’t know how to love anymore and I won’t love anyone else ever again.”
“I’m sorry, but trust me. We can definitely start over again.”
Her clear, sorrowful tears made Credence’s heart ache immediately
He clenched his fists until his joints turned cold and pale. He tried his best to control his trembling body. His long and narrow eyes were filled with unyielding stubbornness, “Dorothy, as long as we’re both alive then you will always be my woman!”
“Let’s not talk about this.”
Dorothy smiled faintly. She could not stand his tenderness at this moment. Her eyes were cold. “Now, I just want to find Belle as soon as possible. I only want her to be safe and sound. I am even willing to exchange my life for hers.”
Her heart had locked itself against him, and it was difficult for her to trust him again. Credence felt helpless and frustrated by this.
Benjamin had driven them to the amusement park. He parked in the driveway, jumped out of the car, and went to the back to greet Credence and Dorothy. He quickly urged them, “Mr. Scott, Mrs. Scott, you two should rest in a shady place for a while. I will go and take a look at the situation first.”
“Okay.”
Credence nodded lightly. Ignoring Dorothy’s awkward refusal, he forcefully held her hand and walked towards the fast-food restaurant. “Eat something first. You will only be able to deal with these problems after you regain your energy.”
Dorothy could not shrug him off, so she abided by it. She allowed him to order some hot dishes and tried her best to finish half a plate of food and a couple of sips of soup. Then she saw Benjamin’s calm face get nervous as he delivered some bad news.
