When they arrived at the hospital, Dorothy was dragged out of the car by Marvin, and she was forced to follow his furious footsteps to the emergency room.
Marvin was in a hurry. He did not control his strength when dragged Dorothy left and right. When Dorothy was about to fall to the ground, an arm covered in a black shirt appeared suddenly. He had a strong grip and firmly supported her where she was.
“Thank you.”
Dorothy thanked him politely. When she got to her feet, she raised her head and realized the cold face belonged to Jeremy. She was taken aback for a moment.
This man was just like Credence, they both liked to wear black suits and trousers. Under the dim white lights of the hospital corridor, his good-looking features seemed slightly evil and cold. At first glance, his sharp face looked a little like Credence’s.
Dorothy gasped in shock at this sudden thought. She quickly shook her head and suppressed the unrealistic thoughts in her heart.
During her four-year marriage with Credence, his father had treated her well, apart from occasionally asking her and Credence to go to his place for a meal, the only other thing he did was missing his wife. He rarely left the house, and he could be regarded as a noble elder with a good personality.
During those years, she had never heard of Credence’s father having any secret affairs or illegitimate children outside, let alone a woman who wanted anything from him. She must have let her imaginations ran wild.
At this moment, Jeremy stood in front of Dorothy. He raised his eyebrows and smiled faintly at her, as if he wanted to have a long talk with her.
Dorothy did not know what the meaning behind his gaze was, she only looked back at him calmly.
Hearing the noise from behind, Marvin frowned and turned around. “Jeremy, it’s you?! Don’t get in the way, f*ck off!”
Some time ago, he secretly collected information on some drug dealers in Jenciga, who were going to transport a large amount of drug to Horsburg. They had planned to transport as much as ten tons.
After destroying the profit chain of those evildoers, his team naturally suffered from counterattacks. But in the end, all those evildoers were wiped out in the vast primitive forest. They were all dead, and they deserved it.
The most terrible thing was that all evidence pointed to Jeremy, but there was no way to prove that he was involved in it.
Marvin was furious and frustrated by this.
Therefore, when he faced this terrible enemy, Marvin did not show him any mercy at all. He pulled Dorothy’s hands and started to stride forward with big steps.
“Hold on.”
Jeremy was not angry. He placed his long forefinger on the bridge of his tall nose and touched it casually. His cold face was full of strength that should not be underestimated. “Dorothy, three days ago, when you woke up from my bed, I saved my phone number in your phone. Remember, no matter when or where, as long as you think you are being threatened or forced by someone, you can call me. My phone is on standby 24 hours for you.”
Dorothy was baffled by his words.
What did Jeremy mean by that?
She woke up from his bed?
She had clearly gotten up from the hospital bed!
Also, he said he would wait for her phone call all day every day. This was something that couples usually said when flirting with each other, wasn’t it? Was she really that close to him?
Dorothy did not have time to retort. Jeremy took two steps forward and lightly touched her wrist. He smiled. “In Talco City, even if it’s Credence, as long as anyone forces you to do something you don’t want to, I can help you get justice! As for Juelz’s overestimation of his strength, I would advise you to leave him as soon as possible.”
When he mentioned the word “Credence”, his tone was deliberately higher. When Marvin heard it, he did not think much of it. However, in Dorothy’s ears, it was as if a rock was splitting the sky, and it shook her body while her eyes turned dull. She did not know why, but she felt a heated sense of resentment in her heart.
At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to kill Credence!
After seeing her reaction, Jeremy smiled more brightly. He took a big white candy out of his pocket leisurely and put it into his mouth. He smiled at her and said, “Remember my words, woman. If you want to deal with Credence, look for me. I am better than ten of Juelz combined.”
Marvin thought that Dorothy was flirting with both Juelz and Jeremy, and his face turned stiff as he glared at her. He burst into anger, “Jeremy, f*ck off if you don’t have a death wish!”
“Marvin, you are getting heated up. It’s about time you find a woman to help you get rid of the heat.”
Jeremy raised his eyebrows after he made that joke. He turned and stared at Dorothy for a moment, after that, he left.
When he arrived at the parking lot of the hospital, Wilson had already been waiting for a long time in the car. He handed over a large pile of photos and said in a low voice, “Boss, these are everything that happened after Credence met Dorothy. From Dorothy’s reaction, I’m sure that thing is working as intended.”
“Great, it seems that a great show is about to start.”
Jeremy looked at the dark night outside the car, his eyebrows gradually stretched out. He spread out his bloody palm. A strange and sinister smile appeared from the corner of his lips. “Credence, it’s quite lonely here in hell. With you around, my life won’t be so lonely!”
Wilson had been by his side for many years, thus he naturally knew what he should hear and what he shouldn’t. He silently turned his head back and handed the emergency medical kit to Jeremy. After that, he started the engine and drove out of the hospital to join the traffic on the streets. Suddenly, they disappeared.

It was almost half past one in the middle of the night, and the entire hospital was silent. The only sound that could be heard was Marvin dragging Dorothy to the emergency room.
In the silent corridor, only messy and rapid footsteps could be heard, and it indirectly suppressed Dorothy’s heart.
She did not understand why she didn’t want Credence to die a while ago, but now, at this very moment, she wanted nothing more than for him to die…
Was it because her heart was too capricious, or was it because she really hated Credence?
Outside the emergency room, the red indicator lights kept flashing. Apart from Jonathan waiting anxiously there, there were several white-haired attending doctors too.
As they approached, Marvin mercilessly pushed Dorothy to the other side. He then asked Jonathan, “How is Credence doing?”
“The situation is not very optimistic.” Jonathan’s face was pale. He pointed to the leading doctor and said weakly, “F*cking hell. I feel dizzy whenever I see blood, thus I didn’t go in. As for the specifics, you can ask Dr. Andrews.”
When he turned around and saw Dorothy standing silently beside him, Jonathan immediately changed his expressions. “Dorothy, you really are a cruel and vicious woman. Heed my words, if something bad happens to Credence, you won’t be able to live either. You’re going to hell with him.”
Dorothy stared at his furious gaze and showed no sign of weakness. She smiled coldly and said, “Mr. Stanton, I have already been to hell a long time ago, all thanks to Credence. You knew what happened during those four years of my marriage with him. Since I have already gone through hell, why can’t he?”
“You… ”
Jonathan was so angry that he was left speechless. He reached out and pointed at her as he spoke fiercely, “Dorothy, keep on pretending! When Credence was sent to the hospital, his heart tore in half, and lost a lot of blood. So much so, that it led to his brain not working properly, and many of his organs lack oxygen. He will likely become an idiot who only knows how to eat and drink.
This tragic result is exactly what you wanted, right? You must be elated knowing this.”
Upon hearing this, Dorothy froze for a moment.
