The lighting was clearly not great, it was even a little dim. Even so, Dorothy was able to recognize the man standing there with a cold look on his face.
He wore a dark gray shirt and trousers which enhanced his chiseled features. A chill emitted from his body, making people tremble as if the entire world owed him something.
When he realized she saw him, Credence touched the collar of his shirt. His pale and thin face looked even more tired under the soft lighting.
Just as he was about to walk towards Dorothy, Jonathan suddenly appeared from behind. A young woman with thin eyebrows and a slim waist was beside him. She had an awl-like face that was similar to Dorothy’s.
Jonathan did not notice Dorothy standing at the end of the corridor. He had found a girl that looked a lot like Dorothy and pushed her towards Credence. He smiled evilly. “Credence, people cannot come back from the dead. No matter how great she was, it’s all in the past now. As humans, we need to move forward.”
“Look at this girl. She is amazing, right? It took Marv and me an entire night to find her. The procuress said that she’s still a virgin. I know you are mysophobic, I even specially asked this woman to take a bath and change into new clothes. What do you think, do you like her?”
“F*ck, Molly, why are you still in a daze? Have you never seen such a handsome man? Don’t just stand there, wipe away your saliva and serve Credence well. You will be treated well.”
Dorothy had been missing for nearly twenty-five days after she fell into Talco River, the same amount of time Creadence looked like a zombie. He had numbed himself by overworking in the company.
He did not care about eating or drinking. When his stomach ached badly, he drank dark coffee like a madman to abuse his body.
In the end, Benjamin could not stand it anymore. He called Jonathan and begged him to take Credence out for some fun no matter what the tactics he used.
If he continued to torture himself like this, Credence would not be able to hold on for much longer and collapse.
As a long-time friend, Jonathan happily accepted the offer to help. He got Marvin to help and the two of them believed that Credence was still feeling down because of Dorothy.
Since Dorothy was still nowhere to be found, they would find a woman that looked just like Dorothy to distract him.
As the saying goes, desperate times called for desperate measures. They had to let this man find hope in a world where there was nothing left to live for.
Even though this young girl called Molly was young, the procuress had taught her well. Hence, she knew exactly what to do and what not to.
She smiled charmingly when she saw this thin and emaciated man. She was the rich man that she had to serve next. She took advantage of Jonathan’s push and fell into Credence’s arms. She shyly pouted her reddish lips and forced a thin smile. “Credence, just the two of us for the night, okay? We’ll play whatever you like.”
“Ah!”
A terrible scream came from Molly. Her voice was trembling and filled with endless fear.
The next second, her curvaceous body was pushed away from Credence’s body. She crashed right into the firm stone wall in front of her, and tears flowed out from her eyes. Even her head was bleeding.
Jonathan was greatly shocked by this as well. “Credence, she is still a child. How could you assault a beautiful girl like her? You are a beast, a monster. How could you!”
When Dorothy saw this, she withdrew her eyes and could not suppress the anger in her heart.
There was once a time in the past where there was the same as Molly in Credence’s eyes.
For every woman that he did not love, he would not show them any pity at all, not even if they devoted their heart to him. They would only receive hatred and disgust.
A man like him was heartless.
Every woman who was blind enough to love him would be hurt. Lucky ones would only suffer injuries like being kicked to the wall, like Molly. Those who were unlucky, like her, would have to go through a miscarriage and almost lost her life too.
“Credence, oh, Credence, since loving you is the same as falling into the depths of hell and experiencing the pain of losing one’s flesh and skin, then I won’t love you anymore. I will change that love to hate.”
….
Juelz looked around the smoky private room that was filled with men and women, but there was no sign of Dorothy at all. He could not help but feel somewhat worried.
She said she was going to the bathroom, but half and hour had passed. What was taking her so long?
He could not sit still any longer. He gulped down the wine in his hands, suddenly stood up from the sofa, squeezed through the writhing crowd, and walked straight out of the room.
The light in the corridor was not bright. Juelz narrowed his eyes and noticed three people in front of him. The woman actually had a face that was similar to Dorothy’s. After staring at it for two seconds, he withdrew his gaze and continued to walk towards the women’s bathroom.
He tugged on a young woman who was about to enter the bathroom, stuffed a bunch of money to her, and showed her Dorothy’s photo from his phone. He asked her to check whether Dorothy was in the bathroom or not.
Her face turned red immediately, and she hurriedly nodded and agreed to help him search the bathroom.
After a while, that woman told Juelz that she wasn’t in there.
Juelz nodded sadly. Finally, he saw Dorothy at the end of the corridor.
Dorothy drank a lot of wine, and she was exposed to the cold breeze for such a long time, too. The alcohol rushed up to her head, which made her dizzy and uncomfortable. She felt weak, as if she was stepping on two soft cotton balls under her feet.
Her watery eyes were still blurry as she tilted her head. She smiled at him. “Juelz, how did you know I’m here?”
She looked drunk and semi-conscious. Her smile was beautiful, as it was mixed with an irresistible and enchanting charm.
It felt like the soft tip of a feather was fluttering in Juelz’s heart. His heart felt like it was about to melt at that moment.
“I’ve searched everywhere, but I couldn’t find you. I guessed you might be here.”
As soon as Juelz stepped forward, he noticed that she could not stand steadily. He stretched out his strong arm to grab her thin arm. He then pulled her into his arms, held her tightly in his arms, and was reluctant to move away for a long time.
“Juelz, I have a headache. Can you send me home?”
“Sure.”
“Thank you, Juelz. It’s so great to have you!”
Dorothy looked up and smiled gratefully at him. Her forehead inevitably touched his beautiful, thick, and medium-sized lips.
Her smooth and tender touch made him feel incomparably wonderful, and endless circles rippled through Juelz’s heart.
He suddenly lowered his head and aimed at her red and soft lips. His voice was hoarse and trembling with emotion. “Dory, I have wanted to kiss you for a very, very long time.”
