Rosalie was in too much pain, but she dared not make a sound. She curled up at the foot of the bed, her delicate face pale as her lips trembled. “Credence, do you still blame me for not saving Dorothy? I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. I don’t blame you for bankrupting the Fisher family. I won’t blame you for kicking me, either. But… could you please tell me the reason?”
“Even if you want to sentence me to death, you still have to let me know what I’ve done wrong.”
Credence looked down at her from high above.
His cold voice trembled a little as he let out a smile. “After my car accident, there may have been some blood clot on my brain nerves suppressing it, but I didn’t lose my memories! The only reason I’ve selectively lost my memories is because of your actions, right?”
“Six years ago, you kept framing Dorothy. You plotted against your own sister that grew up with you. You were also the one who caused my father to end up in a coma. Six years later, in order to satisfy your own selfish desires, you made me lose my memories. You really do have a lot of great tricks up your sleeves!”
“Now, Dorothy has gone missing, and I don’t know whether she is dead or alive. Do you still think you can continue to live a good life?”
Upon hearing his words, Rosalie was horrified beyond her mind. She continued to cry and beg. “Credence, I didn’t do all that. I really had no intentions to harm your father. I’ve never wanted to harm Dorothy, too. I’ve never even thought about making you lose your memories. I never expected things to turn out this way. I just wanted to love you, and I only wanted you to love me as well!”
“Credence, I never wanted Dorothy to die. I just hoped that if she was gone forever, then you could find the good in me and love me too.”
“Since we can’t find where Dorothy is, then can you treat me as her? Let me accompany you every day and serve you. You can take it as my atonement for losing Dorothy!”
Credence couldn’t bear to hear about Dorothy’s death. His body had been left in extreme fatigue for a long time, and he was already at the end of his strength. His vision darkened and his tall body tottered around. He was like a kite that had lost its strings, falling all the way down.
“Credence!”
Seeing that there was something amiss with Credence, Jonathan hurriedly rushed forwards in a hurry and grabbed him. He supported him to a chair and stopped him from falling to the ground.
“Mr. Scott, what’s wrong?”
As soon as Benjamin opened the door, he heard the sound and rushed inside. He pulled Rosalie, who was about to jump on Credence with tears, and threw her back to the hospital bed. He was so disgusted with her that he failed to even give her a second look.
If it weren’t for this f*cking b*tch clinging herself to Mr. Scott’s side for so long, a lot of troubles would not have even happened.
Mr. Scott might have had even a good life with Mrs. Scott, and their relationship might even be sweet and smooth.
Credence laid on the seat and coughed rapidly. After a while, he calmed himself down and slowly turned his gaze to Rosalie, who was crouching on the hospital bed, and smiled. It was such a cold smile, her blood freezing over by the chill.
“Rosalie, your time has come! Since you’ve schemed against Dorothy and sent her to prison, I will now send you to prison as well and have you locked up with other men!”
When Rosalie heard him say these words, she was terrified out of her wits.
If he really sent her there, would she even be able to come out alive?
She abruptly raised her head and looked into Credence’s frosty eyes, so frightened that her face was drained of any color she initially had, and tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably.
“No, Credence, no! I beg you. I don’t want to go to jail. Please don’t send me to prison. Just let me go this time. I swear, I won’t do anything ever again. I will never do anything to hurt you anymore!”
Credence shut his eyes and let out a crazy, terrifying laugh.
“You’ve hurt the only woman I have ever cared about. I will never forgive you!”
One word from him was enough to determine Rosalie’s future, and it was one that was grimmer than purgatory.
Benjamin was quick to react, immediately calling several strong men over. They quickly tied the reluctant Rosalie up and dragged her out of the hospital ward. She was stuffed into a black car, where it then immediately headed over to the police station.
He already had a large amount of evidence of Rosalie’s evil deeds over the past few years, enough to land her a confirmed spot in prison.
…
Yadriel had always gotten along well with Credence. When he learned that his old classmate wanted him to take ‘good care’ of Rosalie, he immediately sent her to the male prison cell where she would be locked up for a whole decade.
He thought Rosalie might not bear the punishment. Thus he only arranged for a few male prisoners to stay with her. As for what would happen to her, it was all on Rosalie to bear with the consequences.
When she finally left the room of humiliation and returned to her single prison cell. Rosalie was in a state close to death. She was no longer the noble and elegant lady she once was, and there was no difference between her and the other dirty prisoners.
She laid on the hard and narrow bed and felt the pain run all over her body, not being able to do anything apart from enduring it.
Credence had obliterated the Fisher family overnight, and she had been sent to prison. Her parents, unable to stand such a huge blow, had collapsed, thus they were undergoing treatment in the hospital.
No one else could help her anymore, and she had to rely on only herself!
After she regained a little strength, Rosalie dragged her aching body, which was tainted and scarred, into the bathroom.
After she cleaned herself, she waited for a new round of torture on the next day.
Those cheap men would all force themselves on her, all so ugly and disgusting!
However, what else could she do?
Credence did not love her, instead believed her to be the person who had hurt the only woman he had loved, Dorothy. Thus he would make her suffer a fate worse than death.
However, since she had successfully framed Dorothy every single time, was she the only one at fault?
If Credence had trusted Dorothy just a little more, then how did Rosalie ever successfully frame her every time?
In the end, Credence was still the one to blame.
It was just a pity that their difference in power was all too great. The two of them should be taking the blame equally. However, she was the one who had to take full responsibility. How ironic!
She sneered gloomily and put on her coat. As soon as she bent down to put on her pants, she heard a sudden noise coming from outside. Then, the bathroom door creaked open.
“Who is it?”
Rosalie coldly turned her head and recognized the man who had come in. Her face turned paler than snow in an instant, her legs trembling. She could not stand still at all, slipping and falling onto the slippery floor.
The man gave her a cold glare and sneered. “Don’t worry, Credence has already abandoned you. You have completely lost the right to negotiate with me. Even if you strip off all of your clothes and beg me to torture you, I won’t do it as I’m not interested anymore.”
The man was tall and had a pair of long legs, half of his face hidden in the shadows. His facial expressions looked extremely icy, as if his face had been carved by a knife. His temperament was no less imposing than Credence’s, yet Rosalie was completely terrified of him.
She felt every inch of her skin gently being whipped, and the strikes stuck to her body, making her feel pain and disgust.
She laughed in a hoarse and broken voice, “Since I’ve lost all my value, why are you still here?”
Rosalie saw the man walking towards her slowly with his straight and slender legs, her eyes rapidly shrinking.
Every step he took made her shiver and step back, her heart filled with despair and fear.
“Stop, don’t come over, please, I beg you. I’m begging you, please don’t!”
