Chapter 155 Dissatisfied

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

It was a gloomy day, looking like it was going to rain.
Rosalie and Yvonne sat opposite of each other in a cafe.
She took a sip of mocha gracefully, and took the hospital’s diagnosis book from Yvonne. She narrowed her eyes as she let out a cold smile.
She narrowed her eyes as she let out a cold smile, “So Dorothy’s daughter Belle is suffering from leukemia?”
“That’s right.”
Yvonne nodded her head. A sinister grin played on her lips as she continued, “Sandy had only pushed Belle gently, but she immediately started bleeding and got sent to the hospital. At that time, I had suspected that there might be a big problem with Belle’s health.”
“So, yesterday afternoon, I deliberately looked for the two employees in the Fisher Group. Sorry, Rosalie, I asked for them by using your name.”
“The two of them had children who were studying in that kindergarten too. After I gave them some benefits, they promised to help. I proposed a plan, and the two of them would first bully Belle, then when Belle started crying, they would give her chicken drumsticks and ice cream. After she ate them, Belle really contracted a fever and fainted, and she got sent to the hospital to receive treatment.”
“Rosalie, the diagnosis book in your hand is a back-up that my colleagues sent me. She asked me to go get it, so it must be accurate.”
Rosalie pondered for a while, then glanced at the documents in her hand. “You are saying that Dorothy’s sudden return to Talco City has something to do with Belle’s health condition, right?”
“I’m not a hundred percent sure, but it must have something to do with Belle’s leukemia.”
Facing the calm and expressionless Rosalie, Yvonne felt so nervous that she broke out into a cold sweat.
When she was handling Belle’s affairs, she had used Rosalie’s name. On the surface, it looked like she was doing all of it for Rosalie, but in reality, her real purpose was to serve justice for her daughter.
She only hoped that Rosalie would not pursue the matter further, so that she would no longer have to keep on obtaining insider information.
Sure enough, Rosalie’s delicate face was emotionless, and her attitude was distant too, “Do not ever use my name to do anything else in the future!”
“Then tell me, since Belle is affected by such an illness, why does Dorothy keep looking for Credence over and over again even after she had a divorce with him? How can she be in the mood to do so?”
She seemed to have come to a terrifying conclusion. However, she was scared, and she dared not believe her thoughts to be true.
Therefore, she hoped that she could receive a completely different answer from Yvonne.
As a top student in her medical school, Yvonne did not need much time to think about it. Her expression changed, and she seemed very worried as she replied, “Rosalie, if I’m not mistaken, Belle is probably Mr. Scott’s daughter. Only in this way can we understand why Dorothy has suddenly appeared and continued to contact Mr. Scott through various means.”
“It is because she needs Mr. Scott’s bone marrow for Belle.”
Rosalie fell into a daze, and all her attention was focused on the words ‘Belle is probably Mr. Scott’s daughter’.
How could that be?
When Dorothy had been knocked up by Credence till she had to get rid of her baby, Rosalie had even bribed a doctor and confirmed that Dorothy did go through with the operation. Even the fetus had been kept in a jar.
Later on, Credence had taken it for DNA test, and it was proved to be his child. Dorothy was then freed from the title of being a cheater.
Since the child was already gone, then how did Dorothy still have Credence’s daughter?
That little girl looked like a hybrid. How could she be Credence’s child?
Rosalie thought for a while, but she couldn’t figure it out. In the end, she looked at Yvonne and voiced out her doubts.
Yvonne frowned, “My specialist course is completely irrelevant to DNA testing. I’m sorry but I’m not that knowledgeable in that area. If you want to know the specific results, you can secretly arrange a paternity test for Belle and Mr. Scott.”
“Alright then.”
Rosalie held the coffee cup with both hands, and a twisted smile could be seen on her tender face. She said, “I have been holding onto something in my heart for a while because I don’t even know who else I can tell this to.”
“Originally, I had reckoned that the woman Credence hated the most was Dorothy, but in fact, he could despise her yet love her body at the same time.”
“At first, I thought that I was the woman he loved, but in truth, he was repulsed by my body, and he even detested the idea of being intimate with me.”
“He doesn’t like me as much as I thought he did, and he did not detest Dorothy as much as I thought either. Hence, Dorothy was able to bear his child. It has been a decade, and I am at most just his fiancée. He doesn’t even have any intentions of going down on me. He doesn’t love me at all, does he?”
If Belle really was Credence’s daughter, then what about her? What role did she have in his heart?
She had worked so hard for so many years and had loved him for so many years too. The only thing she had received in return was the title of a fiancée.
How could she be satisfied? How could she not be jealous of Dorothy?!
Yvonne had not expected Rosalie to speak such heartfelt words, and she felt uneasy as she remained silent. Instead, she changed the topic. She stood up and showed her a fake smile, “Rosalie, I still have something to do. I have to fetch Sandy first, so goodbye.”
Rosalie was such a vicious woman. The less of her secrets she knew, the safer she would be.
They were only using each other, and they should only take what they needed from each other.
Yvonne did not want to die just yet.
Dorothy had gotten Sandy expelled from the kindergarten. That was something Yvonne could not forgive just yet.
Yvonne thought that since she had already given Rosalie a way to go against Dorothy, whether she would take action or not was on her own terms.
Dorothy, who was in the J&D Group, had no idea that Rosalie had guessed that Belle was Credence’s daughter. She was busy accompanying Juelz to his endless meetings.
A meeting that had lasted over two hours had finally ended. Back in the office, Dorothy called Germaine, who was taking care of her daughter, “Germaine, how’s Belle’s condition today?”
“The doctor said that she’s recovering well. She can probably be discharged from the hospital in about three days. When will you be free? Could you come over earlier to see Belle? She misses you a lot. She looks so sad that even I am about to shed tears.”
“Alright, I don’t think I need to work overtime today. That will be all. I’ll hang up first.”
After hanging up on the call, Dorothy smiled as if a great burden had been lifted off her shoulders. She felt much more relaxed.
After work, she no longer waited for Juelz. She grabbed her leather bag, and ran out of the company in a hurry. She stood by the streets and planned to take a taxi to the hospital.
Suddenly, the sharp honk from a car came from behind. Dorothy thought she was in the way and subconsciously stepped back. Unexpectedly, the car continued to honk at her.
She held the bag tightly in her hand and looked into the direction of the sun setting. She saw a black Bentley stopping behind her and its darkened window lowering down. A handsome but cold man looked out from the driver’s seat.
He turned his head and smiled, his handsome facial features displaying a hint of joy.
“Dorothy, we meet again!”
