Chapter 87 It Hurts So Much

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

By the time Dorothy woke up, she was already lying alone on the cold floor in a hospital ward.
She did not know what that sweet scent had been. However, at that moment, her brain went numb, and she felt extremely uncomfortable all over her body. The suppressed desires in the deepest part of her body were suddenly triggered, and she had a strong impulse to hurt someone.
There was an itchiness in Dorothy’s throat. She coughed a few times and slowly stood up with her elbows supporting the floor.
She looked around and realized that the ward was very familiar. Rosalie’s favorite lily perfume was placed on the table, a seductive fragrance coming out from it.
How weird! Why had Rosaline taken her into this ward?
Dorothy shook her head which was in great pain and groggily opened her eyes. She was about to turn around and leave, but before her hands could reach the door knob, it was opened from the outside.
Linda and Caleb entered. Under Dorothy’s stunning look, the two of them looked at each other and then knelt in front of Dorothy. They cried so hard that mucus flowed out of their noses.
Caleb was not as fake, and only went as far as to pinch his own legs to force some tears out, “Dory, I am so sorry. I’ve gone too far in the past. I was worried that you would be influenced by bad people, and I was too strict with you. Will you forgive me? I’m begging you, please don’t let Credence take over the Fisher Group, alright? I am getting old, but I still need to support the Fisher family. I can’t afford to lose, nor do I dare to!”
Compared to the pretentious Caleb, Linda’s expression was even more dramatic. She bent down and hugged Dorothy’s legs while crying and begging, “Dory, I was wrong, I’ve always been too strict with you in order for you to not humiliate the Fisher family. I’ve been too impatient and have scolded you occasionally, but all of it had been for your own good. Don’t take it to heart, please?”
“Credence has already cancelled every collaboration with the Fisher family. With his influence, no other company will be willing to invest in us. The Fisher family will go bankrupt soon… Dory, our kind daughter, we’re begging you, you have to turn Credence’s impression of us for the better. The survival of the Fisher family depends on you!”
However, the drug was stimulating Dorothy’s senses, and her consciousness was slipping away more and more. Linda and Caleb might be begging her, but in Dorothy’s vision, their faces had turned into their usual vicious expressions.
In her mind, she even remembered Linda and Caleb from ten years ago. She remembered how they had forced her to accompany the fat and lecherous bosses for money.
At that moment, Dorothy could not tell reality and illusion apart. She stared at her foster parents who were kneeling on the floor, and shouted angrily at them with hatred laced in her tone, “No, don’t force me to do that. I won’t accompany those filthy rich bosses. Why are you only asking me to go? Why won’t you let Rosalie accompany them? Is it because I am only your foster child?”
“You’ve raised me for so many years, but you’ve never seen me as a real human being. I hate you. I hate all of you!”
Dorothy glared at them with bloodshot eyes. She gritted her teeth and cursed. She gritted her teeth so hard that her gums seemed to bleed.
No one knew how devastated and depressed she had been, when she had curled up in the toilet of a private room ten years ago at only sixteen years of age. She had to face a group of greasy middle-aged men who had been waiting for her outside the room, their gazes hungry.
At that moment, under the drug, Dorothy screamed out the words she had always wanted to say back then. She vented them all out with tears of sadness and humiliation streaming down her cheeks.
“Why did you do all of that? What have I done wrong? All of you treated me like a dog! I want to kill you, I want to kill all of you! I’ll kill every single one of you!”
Dorothy shouted hysterically. In the midst of chaos, someone unknown had handed her a bottle. Her jumbled mind had no time to think. She did not hesitate and immediately smashed the bottle on Linda’s head.
“Go to hell, all of you!”
In that instant, the adrenaline while venting out her frustrations made Dorothy’s rage even stronger. She wanted nothing more than to smash more people with that broken bottle.
“Ah!”
Linda’s head was smashed by Dorothy in an instant. Blood gushed out of her head, and Linda’s face was covered with crimson red blood.
She was in so much pain that she forgot to continue with her act. Suddenly, she started to howl miserably, “She’s attacking me! She’s killing me! Help…”
The unexpected change in the situation startled Caleb, “Dory, how could you hurt your mother? Where’s the doctor? Someone, please h-help!”
Caleb trembled with fear when he saw how fierce Dorothy looked. He grabbed Linda’s arm and pulled her away. He tried to take a step forward while dragging Linda along.
Dorothy blinked in confusion while she clenched the medicine bottle that had been stained with blood, and slowly followed them while muttering, “Dad, Mom, why did you lie to me? Why did you send me to those greedy men? I’ll kill you, I’ll kill you all!”
The entire scene was being recorded by a black camera that was protruding out from the ward opposite her.
Just after Dorothy took two steps forward, Rosalie entered the ward with a hospital gown on, legs trembling. Looking at the hatred on Dorothy’s face, she apologized to her again with tears on her pale face, “Dorothy, I’m sorry! I’m really sorry! I know that we’ve been unfair to you for so many years, but you’ve beaten and scolded them a fair share. Since Mom and Dad have raised you throughout all these years, you should forgive them, right?”
Even though Rosalie was apologizing, from Dorothy’s drug-riddled perspective, Rosalie was mocking her for not being able to win over Credence’s heart, let alone his love.
The anger within Dorothy exploded. She suddenly reached out and grabbed Rosalie’s neck tightly. She dragged her to the railing of the French window and gritted her teeth. She wanted to tear her apart, “Rosalie, you shameless b*tch and mistress, how dare you seduce your brother-in-law? Why don’t you die instead? Only when you’re dead will Credence finally love me!”
“I’m sorry, Dorothy. It’s all my fault. I’ll never do it again. I’ll never see Credence again in the future. Please, it hurts… it hurts so much. Could you let me go?”
Rosalie instinctively fought back against Dorothy with all her might, pleading Dorothy to let her go.
“You’ve finally learnt how to plead? Too bad it’s too late now!”
Dorothy turned a deaf ear to Rosalie’s pleas. Not only did she not let her go, she even harshly pushed Rosalie out of the window even further…
“No! Dorothy, you can’t do this to me! Don’t push me down, I’ll die! I’ll die for real!”
Rosalie seemed to have just regained her senses, and she realized Dorothy’s intentions. She was so scared that she was trembling all over, and her pale face was riddled with horror.
“Rosalie Fisher, just die!”
Dorothy did not know where her strength was coming from. She was so strong that she threw Rosalie out of the window easily. In the next second, Rosalie fell straight down from the window, like a kite with its string broken.
With a low thud, Rosalie fainted on the spot and fell unconscious.
“Look, a murder is happening in the ward on the third floor. Someone pushed a person out from the window! Hurry, call the police!”
Just when everyone was in a panic and chaos, a black Maybach arrived at the building. As soon as Credence stepped out of the car, he saw many people surrounding the area. Listening to the noise, he suddenly felt uneasiness rising in his heart. Then, he raised his head in fear of what he was going to see.
H-he actually witnessed Dorothy pushing Rosalie out of the window with his own eyes!
At that moment, Credence’s heart seemed to have stopped beating, and it sank.
