What else could it be?
“It is because he doesn’t love you, foolish girl.”
However, Germaine did not voice out her thoughts to avoid hurting Dorothy again. She only secretly complained in her heart.
Gazing at Dorothy who was looking haggard, Juelz couldn’t bear the sorrow in his heart. He shifted his gaze to a bunch of roses on the bar table. He took a bunch of delicate roses and placed them in Dorothy’s palm. He blinked his sparkling eyes gently, “Dorothy, Credence is a jerk. You should have left him a long time ago. I’ve been waiting for you to fall in love with me since I was seventeen years old, the year you saved me. If you are willing, I’m always ready to marry you!”
After finding out that Credence had agreed to the divorce and let Dorothy go, Juelz’s heart was filled with joy and excitement.
To be honest, compared to Credence, other than being younger, he didn’t have any other advantage.
Having such an excellent man as his love rival, there was no chance for him to win. He had always been ready to stay by Dorothy’s side and become her best friend for life.
Out of the blue, there was a turning point for him. He had to express his elation by just drinking a few glasses of fine wine.
Therefore, among the three of them, Dorothy and Germaine looked depressed, whereas Juelz was in a good mood. However, he tried to suppress it. He was excited but dared not fully reveal his truest feelings.
“Juelz, I’m not in a good mood. Don’t joke with me.”
Dorothy’s gaze was blank as she swirled the wineglass in her hand. She shook her head with a wry smile, “Germaine, I always thought that the reason he is so obsessed with Rosalie was that I didn’t love him enough. However, it turns out… it was not true. He never allowed me into his heart and his world! I was just a stranger to him, just a tool that he needed to unwind himself with.”
“I still don’t understand why he agreed to marry me since he loves Rosalie with all his heart.”
“Even if Sheldon threatened him into marrying me by using the Scott Group as the bargaining chip, if he didn’t want to, this marriage wouldn’t have happen.”
She had once asked Credence, who was in a good mood, this question after they had sex. However, he only looked at her with narrowed eyes and a faint smile without saying anything to her.
After that, she wouldn’t ask again as he didn’t intend to answer.
“Girl, don’t put all the blame on yourself. It’s not your fault. It’s Credence’s, that blind jerk!”
He married you because of your big breasts that got him erected. You are more beautiful and fitter than Rosalie, that vixen! I know men well. They only think with their lower body!”
Germaine’s heart ached for Dorothy. She picked up a tissue to wipe Dorothy’s tears. She had thought that if Dorothy married someone she had loved since the age of sixteen, she could live a blissful and happy life from then on.
However, over the past four years, no one knew more about Dorothy’s life than Germaine did.
Dorothy loved him deeply. However, she couldn’t get his love in return. She was unwilling to leave him, even though she knew that he never loved her at all. The same went for Jeremy and Germaine.
After listening to Germaine’s words, Dorothy’s heartache grew. She raised her head and took a sip of wine, speaking out of self-mockery, “Credence was attracted by my body, and that’s why he wanted to marry me. Only for the s*x, and not because he loves me.”
In the heart of that cruel man, she was nothing but a toy that he had spent a lot of money on. That was all.
Dorothy closed her eyes in sorrow. She didn’t want to think about this heartbreaking question anymore.
As Dorothy drank a lot, she squatted by the flower bed at the entrance of the bar, vomiting hard. Her legs were weak and her eyesight was blurred. Her face was turning pale.
If Juelz and Germaine were not holding her, she would have collapsed to the ground and gone unconscious.
“Ahem… I’m fine. You can send me home now, Germaine.”
Even though she was in a drunken state, Dorothy waved her hand and declined Juelz’s offer to send her home. Then she turned around and looked at Germaine’s face.
A lonely man and woman. Plus, she was drunk at the moment. If Maria saw them, she would complain about it in her heart even if she didn’t say anything.
If she spilled the beans in front of Credence, Juelz would be hated by him again.
Germaine patted Dorothy’s pale face with pity. As she was about to say something, she saw a familiar man walk into the bar slowly, accompanied by several muscular men in black. A mixture of panic and happiness arose in her heart, and she pushed Dorothy into Juelz’s arms right away.
“Dorothy, I see Jeremy. I’m going to pursue the man I love right now. I’m not free to send you home. I’m sorry. Juelz, it’s your showtime. You must ensure that she arrives home safely… That’s all. I’m running out of time. I have to catch up quickly!”
Wearing a pair of 10-centimeter high-heeled shoes, Germaine walked as if she was wearing flats. She turned around and followed Jeremy in a hurry.
It was unreasonable that she ignored her friends because of a man!
Seeing that Dorothy was still staring dazedly at Germaine’s back, Juelz’s mood turned. He poked her smooth forehead using his long fingers with a bright smile. He said, “Come with me, Dory. I’ll take you home.”
Dorothy swatted his hand away. She didn’t agree to it.
She was still worried that if Credence found out, Juelz would be hospitalized for another ten days or half a month.
“Don’t worry about me. Although Credence’s eyesight is not good, he still keeps his word. Since he said he will let you go, he definitely won’t care about the intimate relationship between us.”
Juelz was not angry at all. He took her hand and led her to the parking lot.
Dorothy was drunk and weak, so she could not break free from him. She had no choice but to follow him. “Very well. Juelz, you leave after sending me to the entrance.”
Credence’s mind was unfathomable. Who knew if he would find another reason to beat up Juelz?
“I know. Without your permission, I will never step into your home. Relax.”
Juelz rolled his eyes grumpily. After getting Dorothy into the car, he started the engine and headed to their destination.
Along the way, he drove at a low speed to spend longer time with Dorothy.
After parking his car at the gate of the villa, he turned around and was surprised to see Dorothy leaning against the front passenger seat. She was sleeping very soundly.
Her face was fair and her lips were red. She looked very beautiful.
At that moment, Juelz had an enchanting thought in his mind.
“Dorothy, do you know how much I like you? I like you so much my heart aches for you!”
Juelz murmured. He leaned over to the front passenger seat and lowered his head to plant a kiss on Dorothy’s soft and moist lips.

A black car was surging down the street at breakneck speed.
Credence looked ahead and continued to accelerate.
His handsome face was as tranquil as still water. His dark eyes were like a whirlpool of darkness, making it difficult to find any emotion in them.
He was so annoyed and only wanted to rush to the villa as soon as possible and find his ultimate happiness in the woman who could easily arouse his thirst.
With the Scott family’s power and status, they no longer needed a marriage alliance to consolidate their strength. When it came to his marriage, he had always been indifferent. Therefore, he did not care about what kind of woman he was going to marry.
Women were dispensable to him.
Once in a while, when he met Rosalie, her delicate and pitiable eyes aroused his vague memories from a long time ago. Thus, he didn’t refuse to have her as his girlfriend.
One night four years ago, he was tricked by Rosalie’s biological sister, Dorothy, into sleeping in the same bed as Dorothy. Whenever he touched Dorothy’s fair and soft skin, a certain part of his body would erect abnormally.
That night, Credence had enjoyed unparalleled joy. It was a happiness that he could not buy with money.
Therefore, when his father negotiated with him, he agreed to marry Dorothy at a grand wedding.
In the past few years, he had gotten used to Dorothy’s delicate body, and he had never looked at any other women who approached him.
It was not that he had fallen in love with her. Instead, it was like smoking. He had gotten used to the smell of one brand of cigarettes. It would be hard for him to accept a new brand.
An hour later, his Maybach was parked in the parking lot by the villa’s gate.
Credence pulled out the car key and held it in his hand casually. When he got out of the car, he caught a glimpse of a lemon-yellow sports car. He frowned and then looked at it carefully.
It was Dorothy, who was leaning in Juelz’s arms with her eyes closed. Both of them were enjoying a kiss.
Credence stood still a few steps away from them with one hand in his trouser pocket. He stared at them coldly in silence for a few seconds.
