Due to inertia, Dorothy slammed into Credence.
Her injured abdomen hit his hard hipbone. The heart-piercing pain was unbearable. She could not help but groan in pain.
Dorothy bent over and did not move. After a while, her pain finally eased up a little.
She slowly straightened her body and scanned her surroundings. Only then did she realize that she had been dragged to the outside of Rosalie’s operating room.
Through the transparent glass window, she saw several doctors busy operating on Rosalie. The blood bag which contained her blood was flowing through the infusion tube into Rosalie’s body.
Lying motionlessly, Rosalie looked just like a mummy.
Even though Dorothy knew that all of this was Rosalie’s doing, she could not help but let out a gasp when she saw her miserable state.
Her face was all bruised and swollen. Also, her lips were cracked and bleeding. Her arms and thighs seemed to have been stung by a swarm of poisonous wasps. They were all densely packed with black and blue scars.
It was really a tragedy!
Not only did Rosalie plot viciously against Dorothy, but she was even crueler toward herself.
Such a woman was too horrifying!
Since Dorothy could not afford to offend her, she would avoid her instead.
Dorothy took a deep breath and raised her head to look at Credence with a cold expression. With a determined look, she said, “I have paid for whatever I’ve owed you and Rosalie. Now, as long as you agree to a divorce, we’ll just part ways on good terms.”
Credence stared at her coldly for a long time. He then smiled and pinched her chin with his slender and powerful fingers. His tone contained an indescribable sharpness and danger as he asked, “Are you willing to do anything for a divorce?”
Dorothy was stunned. “What do you mean?”
Smiling faintly, he lifted her chin, forcing her to look into his eyes. His dark eyes flickered with a hint of terrifying danger. “Literally.”
Dorothy could sense that Credence was up to no good. But she was too desperate to run away from him, so that she would never have to live in hell.
Therefore, she nodded without hesitation. “Deal.”
…
It was night o’clock at night, Colorful lights were flickering in the most luxurious nightclub in Talco City. The place was crowded with people dancing their hearts out. Men and women could be seen unleashing their passion.
Dorothy was clad in a sexy blue dress. It revealed a large portion of her fair skin on her chest and her beautiful legs. She walked behind Credence, following his pace.
She had thought that he would take her to a hotel to have drinks with his business clients. Never did she expect that she would be brought to such a shady nightclub where she had never set foot in before. Frowning, she stopped in her tracks.
Credence turned to look at her condescendingly. “Wanna go back on your word? If yes, you may leave. But once you step out of this place, you no longer have the right to bring up a divorce!”
If he refused to divorce her, was she going to be at his mercy forever?
She had had enough of four years of loveless marriage.
She did not want to experience the pain of watching her child get killed ever again without being able to do anything about it.
Dorothy shook her head. “No. Let’s go.”
He only gave her one chance. She had no choice but to do whatever he said.
…
When Dorothy was dragged into a private room by Credence, she was shocked to see eight big-bellied, middle-aged men in suits.
On a night and an occasion like this, these men watched her enter the room with lascivious eyes. Although she did not have much experience, she understood what Credence wanted her to do.
It turned out that in his eyes, she was just a promiscuous wh*re.
Dorothy slightly tilted her eyes and stared at Credence who stood not far in front of her. There was no expression on his face. At that moment, all her tension and uneasiness had turned into self-mockery and bitterness.
She scolded herself inwardly, “You’re so useless. You should have given up a long time ago. Are you still hoping that you could appeal to Credence’s better nature and he will suddenly let you go?”
“Stop dreaming!”
In his heart, only Rosalie was the most worthy of his care. As for Dorothy, she was as lowly as a slave, not worthy of his attention at all.
She should really wake up from her dreams.
After Dorothy prepared herself mentally, she put a polite smile on her face, showing her teeth slightly. “Hello, bosses. Nice to meet you. Well, the atmosphere is a little cold. Why don’t we have a drink to warm up the atmosphere? I’m Dorothy. Mr. Scott specially invited me to keep you company. As long as everyone is happy, Mr. Scott would be happy too.”
Dorothy figured out her responsibility and soon got used to the role of a hostess. With a smile, she raised a bottle of wine to fill the glasses on the marble table.
Credence sat at the head of the table and watched her every move in silence.
She had deliberately put on heavy makeup. Her long black shoulder-length hair was tied up into an elegant bun, revealing her smooth forehead. Coupled with her delicate face, sharp chin, and red lips, she looked extra charming tonight.
Dorothy was already good-looking. With her dressing up deliberately, she looked even more attractive. It easily aroused the deepest evil thoughts in every man’s heart.
In the eyes of the group of men who had seen all kinds of women, there was an innocence and allure to her. To them, she was indeed a stunner.
All the men present were powerful and influential. They could not help but stare at the natural beauty in front of them, thinking about keeping her for themselves.
Narrowing his eyes, Credence took a drag on his cigarette. He clearly saw everyone’s anxious expressions. Deep down, he felt as if they were coveting a private item that originally belonged to him.
Dorothy ignored Credence on purpose. She picked up a glass of red wine and spoke in a coquettish tone, “It’s my honor to drink with you. How about this? To show my sincerity, I’ll drink first.”
With that, she put her red lips on the edge of the glass and sipped the wine slowly. Her neck was exposed under the orange light without any obstruction.
Her grace and beauty enchanted all the men, including Credence.
He suddenly felt anxious. He proceeded to finish the wine in his glass in one gulp. However, not only did it fail to cool him down, but he became even more hot and restless.
He had an urgent impulse to press Dorothy down under his body.
After finishing her glass of wine, Dorothy endured the strong burning sensation in her stomach. “Your turn, gentlemen.”
The man who was sitting on the right to Credence suddenly burst into laughter. “Sweetie, you didn’t think twice when drinking the wine. Would you act the time when there’s something else in your mouth?”
As soon as the man finished his words, the rest of the men burst into slutty laughter.
They did not bother to hide their intention at all.
In the eyes of those men, Dorothy was just one of the many hostesses in the nightclub. It was just that she was more good-looking and had a more beautiful body.
Dorothy instantly understood the dirty meaning behind the men’s words. She shook the glass in her hand and smiled calmly. “I’m sorry, I’m just here to drink with you.”
She did not believe that Credence would really allow these lustful middle-aged men to hurt her.
No matter what, she was still his wife. A man with a big ego like him would never allow his pride to be hurt unscrupulously by others.
“What’s the fun of just drinking?”
The same man remarked. He couldn’t move his eyes away from Dorothy’s chest. “You are the only woman in this room. Of course we have to take good care of you. I have a very good suggestion. For every three glasses of wine we drink, you’ll remove one of your clothes. What do you think?”
Needless to say, the other men were thrilled to hear that they would be able to enjoy a striptease performance.
The atmosphere in the room instantly became lewd.
Dorothy suppressed the urge to rush out of the room. The smile on her face became more and more forced.
She was wearing a knee-length dress. If she were to remove it, she would be left with only her undergarments.
She subconsciously looked in the direction of Credence.
Her eyes met his.
