“Flynn, stop! I’ll call Kendal!” Rose shouted urgently, seeing Flynn ready to unleash havoc.
Ignoring her, Flynn strode toward Maverick, his expression unreadable.
The members of the Eight Extremities School quickly positioned themselves in front of Maverick, ready for the impending battle.
The tension escalated to a breaking point.
Just then, Flynn’s phone rang. It was Brandon calling.
“Instructor Clark, we’ve been in Niarak for an hour already, and after taking the body refining medicine, the men are overflowing with energy. They’re eager for you to see their strength,” Brandon reported over the phone, his voice mixed with the excited shouts of the soldiers.
“Instructor Clark, I feel as strong as an ox! I could carry fifty kilograms and run ten kilometers! Your medicine is miraculous!” another voice exclaimed through the phone.
“Chief Instructor, we’re planning a split-team scrimmage. Why don’t you come and spot our strengths and weaknesses?” another suggested eagerly.
“The power of the Dragon Capture Body Refinement Technique is incredible! We’re all pumped up and can’t wait to take on the military district’s challenge!” the enthusiasm was palpable in their voices.
Major General Billy Calder took the phone, smiling at Flynn. “Instructor Clark, these men have been waiting for you for an hour. Could you come and give them a bit of your time? Let’s identify and correct their minor flaws in one go!”
Flynn paused, briefly embarrassed as he remembered his afternoon commitment to watch the soldiers in a real combat scenario.
“It’s already three in the afternoon, and they called because I hadn’t shown up,” Flynn spoke into the phone, “I ran into some trouble at the foot of Crystalline Summit. Just wait a bit longer; I’ll be there once I’ve handled this.”
Billy Calder’s brow furrowed slightly, his voice low with concern, “What kind of trouble, if you don’t mind me asking? Oh, and don’t get me wrong, Instructor Clark, I’m not prying into your personal affairs, just don’t want the troop’s training to get delayed.”
“It’s nothing too serious, just a friend having a bit of an issue with people from the Eight Extremities School,” Flynn explained.
“Eight Extremities School?” Calder’s tone suddenly turned cold, a trace of anger in his voice, “That organization has been quite arrogant in recent years, picking on your friend now!”
“Give me a moment; I’ll handle this!” he declared.
“All members of the Blade Special Forces, move out to Crystalline Summit!” Calder ordered, and then the line went dead.
Flynn pocketed his phone, his plans to annihilate Maverick and his group momentarily paused as the Major General decided to step in.
Maverick, standing defiant and unmoved, taunted Flynn with a sneer. “What’s the matter, Flynn? You don’t want to deal with me yourself?”
“Soon enough, you’ll get what you wish for,” Flynn replied flatly, his gaze icy.
Maverick laughed loudly, feigning realization, “Oh, someone wants to fight your battles for you?”
“Fight my battles? I’ve been with the Eight Extremities School for eight years, and I’ve never heard of anyone daring to challenge us! Today is indeed an eye-opener!”
“Not even Orion dares cross us, what’s your friend compared to that?” Maverick continued, his followers laughing along with him.
The whole state of Shipmeda, any significant family or organization, would steer clear of the Eight Extremities School.
Why?
Because the Eight Extremities School has many practitioners of Inner Strength, far beyond the capabilities of ordinary bodyguards, and no one can withstand their revenge.
Rose looked worried, “Who was that on the phone? Mr. Kennedy or Mr. Gallagher? Don’t get them involved, it’s best if this is resolved peacefully.”
Orion, who always obeyed Flynn, would surely bring his forces against the Eight Extremities School if he knew Flynn was challenged.
She didn’t want to see that happen.
“Peaceful? You think they want peace?” Flynn scoffed coldly.
Suddenly, the ground began to tremble.
Roaring in the distance were ten military Humvees, eight armored personnel carriers, and six Sabertooth Tiger Special Police Vehicles, their engines thundering, shaking the ground, sending sand and stones flying.
Everyone was stunned as twenty special forces vehicles approached, uncertain of what was happening.
Billy Calder, seated in the lead Humvee, saw the road blocked by trucks, his face turning icy.
The Blade team members disembarked, forming a column, fully armed, an overwhelming presence taking over the area.
“Shipmeda State military district’s Blade Special Forces are here for an exercise!” Calder declared authoritatively. “Vehicles obstructing official duties areauthorized for destruction!”
With a commanding wave, Calder retreated back into his Humvee.
“Target the vehicles ahead, open fire!” Brandon saluted and ordered.
The special forces soldiers dispersed, some shouldering rocket launchers, others mounting the vehicle machine guns, and yet more positioning with tactical sniper rifles on nearby hills.
Their weapons were all aimed at the twenty off-road vehicles.
“What?!” Maverick’s mind exploded with shock, his face a picture of disbelief.
These were all vehicles belonging to the Eight Extremities School!
Each off-road vehicle was worth three hundred thousand dollars, including his own two million dollar Land Rover!
The total value exceeded eight million dollars!
They were going to destroy them all?
“Officers, please give us a moment, I’ll move the vehicles…” Maverick began, rushing forward.
But before he could finish, a rocket soared through the air and struck his Land Rover, blowing it up. Vehicle parts scattered wildly, the front wheel flying a hundred meters away before rolling to a stop.
The massive shockwave from the explosion flung Maverick into the air, and he crashed down hard on a nearby hillside.
