“Clark Instructor, we’ve arrived.”
The door of the Humvee opened, and Faith jumped out of the car, opening the back door.
Ethan stood at the front of the line and yelled at everyone, “Attention, at ease!”
“Everyone, welcome, Clark Instructor!”
“Swoosh!”
Everyone stood at attention, facing the Humvee with respectful expressions, but inwardly disdainful.
Ethan had been with these elite soldiers for five or six years, how could he not know their thoughts?
The instructor was a young man of less than thirty, and this fact did not sit well with him.
A cold smile playing on his lips, he turned and stood next to Clayton, his gaze falling on the Humvee.
“Click!”
Flynn stepped out, straightening his body, standing tall in front of everyone, like an ancient and unchanging statue, his face stern.
In the military, the dignity of the country lay there.
Even Flynn, as the King of the Underworld, had to show the respect befitting a citizen, even the leader of Ostrad.
Seeing Flynn in this state, his imposing figure, Faith’s eyebrows furrowed involuntarily.
This was a different Flynn.
Even the special forces members were surprised to see Flynn’s tall and imposing figure, but inwardly they smirked.
All show!
This was still their first impression of Flynn.
This guy must have done his homework before coming here, spending a month just practicing proper marching!
But Clayton’s face changed when he saw Flynn, exclaiming, “It’s you?!”
His heart was in turmoil, and even his military bearing collapsed.
The new head instructor, Flynn, was the one who had slapped him twice in the face! The Flynn he had been trying to regain his face from!
It was beyond belief!
It was so maddening!
“Mr. Clayton knows him?” Ethan was slightly surprised to hear Clayton’s words.
Clayton said with a sense of loss, “He does have some ability, he cured Elis’s illness, knows the number one herbal distributor in the Southern Territory, Charlie, and is also friends with Marcel.”
Ethan was stunned and then sneered, “So what? Even if Mr. Price or the richest man in Ostrad came, could they become the head instructor of Blade?”
“In the army, ability is paramount! All else is but a fleeting cloud!”
The other special forces members nodded in agreement.
In the world of soldiers, might makes right, the strong are revered, and personal worship dominates.
Whoever has the biggest fist, who has accomplishments, that’s who they will respect, rather than rank or status.
Clayton’s words did not change the impression of Flynn for everyone, but instead reinforced the belief that Flynn came to the military to gain prestige.
After all, Flynn had good connections in the business world, and if he were to obtain the rank of a colonel, he would be in his element.
Thinking about this, the special forces members were not happy.
But as soldiers, it was their duty to follow orders. Even if they were disdainful in their hearts, they would not speak out.
Clayton, upon hearing Ethan’s words, nodded in disappointment and swept away the remaining doubts in his heart.
The military was not like society, you had to use real skill to gain the respect of your peers!
Not to mention the Grandmaster realm, you had to be a Semi-Grandmaster, otherwise these soldiers would not respect you.
But let alone a Grandmaster, the thought of becoming a Semi-Grandmaster was a dream that was difficult for ordinary people to attain. Flynn was around the same age as he was, did he have that ability?
He was just like him; he was doing well in the Inner Strength at best!
“So he’s here to gain prestige.” Ethan sneered and summarized quietly.
He would understand the jungle law of the military when his men provoked him later!
However, just as he finished speaking, there came from a distance a hearty laugh.
“Brandon, the instructor you found might have some ability, but Mr. Cox served in the special forces in his younger days and set a live ammunition shooting record that still stands today.”
“And in terms of carrying weight, Mr. Cox carried a 300-pound boulder and ran ten kilometers with it. Even the commander of the military district at the time praised him for his natural strength!”
“Now Mr. Cox has become a Semi-Grandmaster, and he’s the most suitable person to teach these soldiers!”
Flynn couldn’t help but look in that direction.
A middle-aged man in military uniform, bearing the rank of a major general, walked over with an air of authority.
Behind him was the somewhat dejected Brandon.
And then there was Sullivan, smiling faintly and somewhat proudly.
He had already put on his camouflage uniform and was wearing the rank of a colonel, looking quite pleased with himself.
But when his gaze fell on Flynn, his face changed.
But as soon as he saw Flynn in casual clothes, not to mention military uniform, he didn’t even have a rank, he felt even more pleased with himself.
His son, Ismael, was beaten by Flynn yesterday.
This was the fourth time Flynn had offended the Cox family.
The first time was at Fish Dragon Villa, where he beat up Ismael while playing basketball.
The second time was during the Frederick incident, where he disabled his younger brother.
The third time was at the Swanson’s Residence, where he teased him like a clown.
Yesterday, he had shattered his son’s hand and broken his leg.
There is a saying if something happens three times, then the fourth time is the limit. Flynn had already offended the Sullivan family four times, and his patience with Flynn was at its limit.
If it weren’t for coming here to be an instructor, it wouldn’t be right to make a fuss about it. Sullivan would have burst Flynn’s head last night.
Flynn was slightly stunned and seemed to understand something.
No wonder Brandon didn’t personally come to pick him up.
It turned out that the military had found another instructor, and he had stayed in the army to persuade the higher-ups to select him as the instructor.
Seeing the current situation, he seemed to have failed.
Seeing Flynn’s expression, Sullivan mouthed a faint smile, his eyes bursting with endless killing intent.
He didn’t expect that the instructor Brandon had brought was him. Well, that’s good. There would be a good show today.
The major general’s name was Billy Calder, the overall head of the base, in charge of Blade Special Forces training, logistics, and operations.
He was Brandon’s direct superior.
The special forces members were excited to hear the major general’s words.
As they saw it, Sullivan had not only served in the special forces, but had also become a Semi-Grandmaster, the heir to the Cox family.
He was the ideal head instructor!
The eyes of everyone fell on Sullivan, his posture even more upright, silently supporting him in this way.
Sullivan naturally saw everyone’s thoughts and responded to Billy Calder with a smile, “Major General, you overpraise me. I will surely teach these soldiers well.”
“But Brandon brought Flynn here, so he must believe in his abilities.”
“How about I have a competition with Flynn to make Brandon acknowledge my abilities?”
But Billy Calder’s expression turned cold, and he said calmly, “In the past few years, it’s because I gave Brandon the authority to select instructors that Blade has ranked last for three consecutive years.”
“The person he chose this time is certainly not that impressive.”
“We don’t need a competition. If you accidentally injure Flynn, it will only bring more shame to Brandon!”
However, despite Billy Calder’s words, everyone was even more excited and looked at Sullivan with admiration.
Sullivan, however, noticed the change in Flynn. With a cold smile on his lips and a burst of fierce killing intent in his eyes, he thought to himself that he did not expect Brandon to invite him as an instructor. Flynn had figured something out but it was too late. If Brandon hadn’t been so worried about making a scene and getting himself designated as instructor, last night, Flynn’s head would have been exploded. Sullivan smirked and so thought too himself after least night events, if Flynn would face repeated provocations from military men or he would find out about the law of the jungle in the military.
