Chapter 246 Get out of here right now!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-6-4

“What! You guys are too much! Can’t you see that Ms. Sharp and Ruth are both drunk?”
“Mr. Moore is too domineering. They’ve already gone three times, isn’t that enough?”
“If it weren’t for Ms. Sharp’s help, Gunner wouldn’t be anything now. And now that Ms. Sharp is in trouble, he won’t lend a hand unless there are conditions attached? Isn’t that heartless?”
Everyone present was highly educated and naturally opposed to accompanying drinking.
Now Energence Pharmaceuticals had been forced into a corner, with Ruth standing up to help Rose but being played around by Gunner time and time again. It was simply outrageous.
The burly man crossed his arms over his chest and sneered, “If you don’t want to go, then don’t go; after all Rose is the one begging our boss.”
“But let me add one more thing. If even our boss doesn’t lend a hand, then Energence Pharmaceuticals will really have to close its doors!”
He smirked at Rose with amusement in his eyes before humming lightly.
Katrina stood up coldly, “You go back and tell Gunner not to push people too far or else I’ll get my dad to blacklist his company!”
The burly man laughed heartily, “Katrina, you can blacklist the Moore’s Group in Niarak.”
“But what you don’t know is that the pharmaceutical companies working with the Moore’s Group are spread throughout Shipmeda; losing just one won’t affect us at all!”
“So save your breath; you can’t scare us!”
Upon hearing this, Katrina instantly looked dejected.
“Katrina, it’s okay. I’ll go accompany Mr. Moore for another drink,” said Ruth as her eyes were already hazy while she couldn’t stand still on her feet anymore; she squeezed out a smile on her pale face.
Rose’s cheeks tightened as she spoke coldly, “Ruth, don’t go this time; I’ll try asking other suppliers again.”
“Good for you! Have some backbone,” said the burly man leaning against the door frame as he clapped several times before giving Rose a thumbs-up followed by mockery. “Oh well… it’s just unfortunate though, even if you call every supplier, nobody would dare accept your order except Gunner.”
As soon as these words were spoken, everyone fell silent.
Yes indeed… faced with Layla’s banishment order, no company dared accept Energence Pharmaceuticals’ orders except for Gunner who was Shipmeda’s largest medicinal material dealer – their only chance of survival.
“I’ll take Ruth’s place!”
“I can handle my alcohol so I’ll go instead!”
“I’ll do it!”
Everyone from Energence Pharmaceutical’s research department stood up together.
The burly man laughed at the scene, “Well, it’s all good. We have plenty of space where we are and plenty of bosses. One person can accompany one.”
“They don’t need to go anywhere,” Flynn said indifferently as he poured himself a drink.
“Oh?” The burly man’s smile froze as he looked at Flynn and asked with a fake smile, “May I ask what this bro does?”
Flynn didn’t even look up as he spoke in a deep voice, “Get out of here right now. I won’t say it twice.”
“What did you say, you son of a bitch?” The burly man’s face turned cold as he walked towards Flynn.
“Get lost!”
With a cold snort, Flynn suddenly jumped off the table and stomped heavily on the burly man’s chest. The burly man screamed and flew out of the private room before crashing into the wall in the hallway. This caused several waiters passing by to exclaim in shock.
“Oh my god! Isn’t that Gunner’s bodyguard? How did someone beat him up?”
“It seems like Mr. Moore wants someone from this private room to come over for a toast but they’ve already refused three times before this happened. Why is there another unpleasant incident now?”
“That guy is too strong! He kicked that person out of the private room with just one kick and knocked him unconscious on impact! How much strength did that take?!”
The discussion among hotel staff quickly attracted many diners’ attention.
At this moment, an obese man walked over.
He first glanced at the unconscious burly man before turning his gaze towards Flynn inside the private room with icy eyes.
Several bodyguards behind him also stared intently at Flynn with cold expressions.
“Mr. Moore, I advise your men not to lay hands on him because they can’t beat him,” Rose couldn’t help but glance at Flynn before turning her head to speak to Gunner.
Gunner had already entered into their private room when he heard her words; upon hearing them, his expression froze for an instant before coming over next to Flynn’s side while pouring himself a full glass filled with white wine.
“Ms. Sharp, who is this guy anyway? Why did my people end up beaten like that?” Gunner sat down confidently while speaking calmly yet carried an underlying killing intent within his tone.
Rose replied calmly, “This gentleman is Energence Pharmaceuticals’ Head of Security Department, Flynn.”
“He might not like your people,” she added casually.
“Oh?” Gunner smiled slightly then continued, “My men do tend speak arrogantly sometimes but no matter how arrogant they are…they’re still mine.”
“Here’s what we’ll do,” said Gunner pushing forward his glass filled with white wine toward Flynn, “Drink this cup then apologize; I’ll let it slide since Ms. Sharp has given you face.”
Flynn sneered without even looking at it once then replied disdainfully, “I really can’t understand where this idiot gets his sense of superiority, daring to act like a big shot here.
“Oh? Not willing?” Gunner saw Flynn’s appearance and narrowed his eyes. He smiled at Rose and said, “Ms. Sharp, I think you should give this guy face once, but he doesn’t give me face. This matter may be difficult to handle!”
As soon as the words fell, the bodyguard behind him suddenly pulled out a spring knife from his pocket. The bright blade flashed and scared the people in the research department to step aside.
Rose sneered coldly, “Gunner, didn’t you also not give me face?”
“What do you mean by that Ms. Sharp?” Gunner smirked.
“Gunner, you just had eyes for Ruth and never had any intention of cooperating with Energence Pharmaceuticals.” Rose asked indifferently.
Gunner laughed, “Ms. Sharp, you’re really slow on the uptake! Yes, I only have eyes for Ruth and wanted to invite her for a drink. I never thought that this woman would be so obstructive.”
“To tell you the truth, Layla has already united with the Hussain family and Swanson family to send notices to all major medicinal material suppliers stating that anyone who supplies Energence Pharmaceuticals will be their enemy.”
“I can certainly take risks without giving her face but do you think I’ll go against them for Energence Pharmaceuticals?”
The faces of everyone in the research department darkened upon hearing Gunner’s words.
It turned out that he was just using them for fun!
Gunner developed thanks to the Sharp’s Group but now he had no gratitude towards them as well as playing around with Rose!
Too shameless!
Too despicable!
However, Gunner showed no embarrassment at all. He glanced at Flynn before sitting down beside Ruth while puffing up his belly.
He smiled slyly, “Miss Richardson, Energence Pharmaceuticals won’t last long. You have no future following Rose. How about coming over to the Moore’s Group? I’ll make you vice president with an annual salary of five million dollars. What do you say?”
Ruth felt disgusted by his lecherous expression. She immediately moved away from him.
“Oh? You want more? How about eight million dollars per year?” Suddenly, Gunner placed his fat palm on top of Ruth’s small hand, rubbing it while playing with her slender fingers. The greediness in his eyes became even more intense.
