Hanna’s knife flashed with a cold light, reflecting in Scarlet’s eyes, making her shiver in fear. She tried to break free from the bodyguard’s grip, but she was too weak and felt nothing but despair. Just then, a cold voice filled with killing intent echoed through the door.
“Put down the knife!”
Hanna turned around and saw a young man walking in.
“Who the hell are you? How dare you interfere with my business?”
“Brother-in-law, save me…” Scarlet cried uncontrollably when she saw Flynn walk in.
Flynn noticed the bloody handprint on Scarlet’s face and his expression darkened. He comforted her gently, “Don’t cry, everything is fine now.”
“Fine?” Hanna gritted her teeth and pointed her knife at Flynn as she spoke fiercely. “Your little sister-in-law seduced my husband! You think everything is fine?”
“I’m telling you today…”
Bang!
Flynn took three steps forward and kicked Hanna out of the way with one swift motion.
The Reeves family bodyguards who were supporting Scarlet were furious but before they could move forward they were knocked unconscious by Flynn’s powerful punch that sent them flying into a wall!
Scarlet was no longer under anyone’s control; her legs went weak as she collapsed onto the ground. Flynn held onto her waist tightly and embraced her.
“Brother-in-law… I’m scared… I want to go home…” Scarlet hugged Flynn tightly while crying uncontrollably due to being frightened by Hanna.
“Don’t be afraid; nobody will bully you while I’m here,” said Flynn softly as he pressed on Scarlet’s stomach causing it to spasm which made Scarlet throw up some water into a trash can nearby.
After he did all this for Scarlet’s benefit, she felt stronger than before. When he realized that Scarlet had expelled all of the drugs from inside of herself already, he gently placed her on the sofa saying, “Sit down for a moment; there might be some blood later so if you’re scared, just close your eyes.”
Scarlet felt an unprecedented sense of security after hearing this statement and nodded heavily in agreement.
“It will indeed get bloody later because I am going to skin you alive!” Hanna shouted furiously after briefly feeling dizzy.
After speaking these words out loud, she yelled at those underlings around them, “What are y’all waiting for? Attack!”
These subordinates were used to Hanna’s tyrannical behavior and had never encountered such a fierce individual before. They were all momentarily stunned.
However, as soon as Hanna shouted at them, they immediately reacted and drew out their daggers, charging forward.
Flynn rushed directly into the crowd, and an unbelievable scene unfolded.
A silhouette moved through the security guards, swiftly like lightning, leaving behind a trail of wails and cries wherever it went.
After a short while, over ten bodyguards were lying in all directions, some with their chests caved in.
Hanna was shocked. Her men had been wiped out mercilessly with fatal blows!
At that moment, she felt fear creeping up on her.
Flynn walked over to Hanna and grabbed her hair like he was holding a piglet. He stared into her eyes and asked coldly, “Did you do it?”
“What… what are you going to do?” Hanna winced in pain as she struggled.
Smack!
“I’m asking if you did it!” Flynn slapped her again and asked icily.
Gritting her teeth, Hanna replied through the pain, “Yes, I did it. Do you know who I am? I’m the heiress of the Reeves family. If you dare touch me again, your whole family will die!”
“The Reeves family is powerful in Ipholn but they’re nothing here in Niarak,” a dark voice came from the doorway.
Marcel walked into the room with an icy expression followed by four imposing men who were his top fighters. They had contributed greatly to Marcel’s entertainment empire just like Black Wolf whom Flynn had crippled during their last encounter at Peninsula Hotel.
The corridor outside was now filled with Marcel’s henchmen who surrounded this office making escape impossible for anyone inside!
“Marcel!” Hanna pointed at Flynn incredulously when she saw him walk in looking murderous along with all those black-clad people outside, “Is this your friend?”
“More accurately speaking,” Marcel said coldly, “Mr. Clark is my godfather’s guest of honor and benefactor.”
“What?! Mr. Pearce’s benefactor?!” Hanna widened her eyes feeling uneasy about what might happen next as she quickly explained herself, “Your friend’s sister-in-law seduced my husband first so don’t blame me for this mess.”
The Reeves family may be a big clan back home but they didn’t have much influence here in Niarak where they couldn’t afford to offend the Pearce family easily.
Marcel snorted lightly then went over to stand beside Flynn before saying respectfully, “Mr. Clark, these people aren’t worth dirtying your hands for; let me handle them.”
“I want these two alive but paralyzed from head down,” Flynn tossed Hanna aside like a little chicken, then sat down next to Scarlet.
Marcel picked up a baseball bat from one of his men then headed straight towards Wesley who was already scared stiff on the ground after seeing what happened earlier. With one swing, he smashed Wesley’s knee cap!
Crack!
Wesley screamed out loud clutching his knee which now looked deformed.
“Aaahhh… my leg is broken!”
Marcel stepped on his ankle and asked coldly, “Did you tell that fat woman the truth? Did Miss Wong seduce you or did you drug her?”
Wesley couldn’t lie now and quickly shouted, “It was me who drugged Miss Wong. I was just attracted by her looks!”
“Mr. Hill, spare me! Spare me! Honey, save me!”
Hanna almost fainted when she heard this and angrily cursed, “You liar! You’ve been deceiving me all along!”
After speaking, she turned to Marcel and said, “Mr. Hill, I was also fooled by Wesley. He can die if he wants to! I don’t care anymore!”
Wesley claimed to be Hanna’s husband but in reality he was no different from a dog. He could die for all she cared.
“You hit me and now you want to leave?” Flynn looked at Hanna as she walked towards the door with narrowed eyes.
Hanna’s body stiffened and her face suddenly became fierce as she turned around to look at Flynn coldly. “What? Do you really want to teach me a lesson too?”
“You slapped me twice earlier and even beat up my men like that. I didn’t come after you then because I showed restraint! But do you really think it’s okay for you to push your luck further?”
“Heh… Marcel may be powerful in Niarak but my family is not weak either! We know many people in the military and government.”
“If from now on any of you dare touch me again, then rest assured that my family will retaliate with full force.”
“Mr. Hill, are you willing to go against the Reeves family for this friend of yours?”
Although the power of the Reeves family was mainly concentrated in Ipholn, they still had some connections and industries in Niarak too; if they were truly angered, then even the Pearce family might not be able to handle them.
“Go against?” Marcel turned his head towards Hanna with a sneer on his face, “My life belongs to Mr. Pearce; Mr. Pearce’s and my brother’s lives belong to Mr. Clark; Even if it means sacrificing myself for Mr. Clark, what does it matter?”
“If your family wants revenge, they can come anytime they like. One furrowed brow from me is enough make them back down!”
“Come here guys! Take this fat woman over there so we can have these two animals become zombie husband and wife today!”
