At eight in the morning, Flynn received another phone call.
“Mr. Clark, this is Estella. The star that Mr. May helped you find has arrived in Niarak and is resting at the Eve Hotel. Would you like to meet?”
Flynn rubbed his eyes and said, “Just send me the information. I’ll be at the Niarak International Convention Center by noon.”
“I’ll call Roman now. He will bring Bone-Cleansing Pills with him when he meets up with Estella so they can learn more about each other.”
Flynn hung up and received a text message with all of the star’s information.
After looking over it, Flynn was satisfied and called Roman to tell him to meet up with Estella in the restroom.
In no time, Flynn finished getting ready and changed into clean clothes before driving to Niarak Convention Center.
The Pharma Congress was Ostrad’s most prestigious pharmaceutical exhibition where hundreds of pharmaceutical companies attended along with countless celebrities from Niarak.
When Flynn arrived at the convention center, there were luxury cars everywhere he looked as famous people dressed elegantly greeted each other before entering into the venue filled with glitz and glamour.
As soon as he entered inside himself, Flynn immediately spotted Rose who was preparing for her midday press conference surrounded by her staff members who were also dressed impeccably well.
Her hair was styled high on top of her head while she wore a stunning red dress that accentuated every curve on her body, making it look perfect from head-to-toe and giving off an aura of both coldness yet holiness simultaneously.
“Garrett has arrived!”
Flynn hadn’t reached the front when a commotion erupted on the scene, and everyone turned towards the entrance of the convention hall.
He furrowed his brows, observing a group of people appearing at the lobby entrance. Leading the way were several burly bodyguards.
The attendees of the exhibition were all prominent figures in Niarak. At this moment, they gathered around an old man dressed in a blue and green robe, exhibiting an expression of extreme respect.
Flynn took a glance, and his gaze fell upon a young man beside the old one.
This person was only 1. 7 meters tall, but he seemed to weigh around 150 kilograms. With each step, his flesh jiggled, giving him a somewhat familiar appearance.
Wasn’t this guy Andrew whom he met at a bar once? And wasn’t that old man his grandfather?
As they walked past him though something caught his eye: Garrett had taken out a small green pill from his pocket which he then handed over casually to one businessman nearby saying, “Since you’re so polite about it, here’s some Spirit-Nourishing Pill for you. It helps focus your mind better than anything else out there.”
The boss’s face was full of excitement and his eyes were shining as he respectfully took the pill from Garrett, carefully placing it in his pocket.
He turned to those around him and said, “Garrett’s Spirit-Nourishing Pill is amazing. I buy two every year and after taking them, I feel energized with an endless supply of strength.”
“And most importantly,” he continued, “for men who take it, they will regain their virility and last for an hour!”
“For women who take it,” he added with a smile, “they will have radiant skin that glows like never before.”
Hearing this, everyone around him became envious and wanted to get their hands on some of Garrett’s pills. However, Garrett ignored their requests.
Andrew sneered coldly at them all. “Actually,” he said with a smirk on his face, “my grandfather’s pills are available to anyone willing to pay for them. But if you come asking me for one at my house, then the price starts at 30 thousand dollars per pill!”
This statement immediately caught everyone’s attention.
“It is rare to see Garrett out in public but today we are lucky enough to meet him here in Niarak! I’ll pay 30 thousand dollars for one pill!” someone shouted.
“I’ll buy one too! Please give me your medicine!” others chimed in.
“Garrett’s pills are worth more than gold! 30 thousand dollars per pill is not expensive at all! Give me three!” another person exclaimed excitedly.
The scene was lively as many people began transferring money while trying to purchase some of Garrett’s Spirit-Nourishing Pill.
Rose approached Flynn curiously and asked coldly, “That man over there is Braiden’s hired help, Mr Price’s apprentice named Garrett. Where is your hired help?”
Flynn replied nonchalantly, “He has already checked into the hotel; he’ll be here soon.”
Rose couldn’t hide her annoyance when she saw how calm Flynn was despite everything happening around them. “You can see how much influence these pills have,” she said angrily. “Do you think your hired help can compete with that?”
Flynn sneered disdainfully, “In my opinion,” he said dismissively, “those old man’s pills are nothing more than simple health supplements.”
“If that were true, then doctors nowadays would be worthless!”
Her voice wasn’t loud but it caught the attention of those nearby including Garrett himself who pushed through the crowd until finally standing next to Flynn whereupon he scrutinized him closely before asking.
“Young man,” Garret asked curiously ,”do you doubt the efficacy of my Spirit-Nourishing Pill?”
Flynn replied indifferently, “I just think that your medicine isn’t worth more than a hundred bucks.”
Someone from within the crowd immediately spoke up saying, “What do you know? A single dose costs 30 grand!”
“That’s right!” another person agreed. “Garrett only produces a hundred doses each year which makes them extremely rare; people would even fight over paying millions just so they could get their hands on one!”
“You’re just an ignorant brat who doesn’t know anything about life!” yet another person chimed in.
“If only you knew what kind of abilities Garret possessed, then maybe you wouldn’t be making such ridiculous claims.”
Garrett looked at Flynn and snorted, “Kid, you can eat whatever you want, but watch your words. Think before you act or else you’ll make a fool of yourself!” With that said, Garrett turned to head towards the inner hall.
“You little punk! Last time I got in trouble because of you and now my grandpa is mad at me again!” Andrew walked over after collecting the money and glared coldly at Flynn. His chubby face twisted into a menacing expression.
Garrett paused when he heard this and his gaze fell back onto Flynn. He asked, “Was it him who beat you up at the bar?”
“Garrett, your grandson is rude and unreasonable. He offended me twice at the bar with vulgar language and no manners.” Rose explained indifferently.
Garrett was taken aback for a moment before his expression turned from dark to smiling as he said arrogantly, “You must be Ms. Sharp! My grandson speaks highly of you. Seeing you today confirms that.”
“Andrew has been spoiled by me but he’s not bad deep down inside. If he had a girlfriend to keep him in check then he wouldn’t be so impulsive.”
“I wonder if you would like to give Andrew a chance?”
“Not interested!” Rose felt disgusted when she saw Andrew staring lecherously at her legs with an obscene grin on his face.
Garrett was surprised by her response as he continued with an air of superiority, “I’ve heard that you’re the owner of Energence Pharmaceuticals and has some conflict with Mr. Swanson.”
“If you were willing to become Mrs. Spears under my family name then Mr. Swanson would let it go out of respect for me.”
“All you need to do is bear some male heirs for our family while I help you expand you pharmaceutical company.”
“Don’t tell me you don’t want this opportunity?”
Rose glanced at Andrew, his plump appearance filling her mind, causing her stomach to churn. She wore a cold and indifferent expression.
“What do you mean? My grandfather speaks to you like this, and you can’t be bothered to reply?” Andrew, seeing Rose’s icy demeanor, couldn’t help but feel irritated.
A cold glint flashed in Garrett’s eyes.
As a prominent figure in the medical industry, he deserved respect regardless of the other party’s status. Even if they were highly regarded, they should show some deference upon hearing his name.
This woman hadn’t even looked at them, grandfather and grandson, straight in the eye from beginning to end.
Rose retorted, “Young Master, how should I show respect to your grandfather in your opinion?”
“Should I kneel down and thank him for his approval and liking?”
The Sharp family used to be the top aristocrats in Niarak, and Rose had a naturally proud disposition. How could Garrett expect her to become a mere baby-making machine, bearing sons for the Spears family?
To Rose, it was nothing short of an insult!
Upon hearing this, Andrew’s eyes narrowed and his expression turned cold.
“Since you look down on my family so much, I won’t force it,” Garrett said, regaining his haughty demeanor. He then added a threat, “I’ll go support your new drug launch later!”
“Good luck with your new drug launch, Ms. Sharp!” he said before giving Rose a suggestive look and leaving with Andrew.
Rose frowned deeply.
Garrett was an authority in the pharmaceutical industry and had the power to determine the success or failure of a new drug like Bone-Cleansing Pill. If he wanted to sabotage it by belittling its value, Energence Pharmaceuticals would be severely affected!
