“This guy may be strong, but Mr. Cox will fake him out in the air. And this spot is his most comfortable shooting place, he’s got this point!”
“Yes! Mr. Cox has a high shooting percentage and being provoked by this guy will definitely bring out his full potential, one shot one hit!”
“That guy may have good physical fitness and can jump around, but his basketball skills are definitely not as good as Mr. Cox’s. He won’t be able to defend against Mr. Cox’s fake moves.”
“If Mr. Cox didn’t underestimate Flynn just now, he would have noticed him catching up and then used a fake move to shoot with one hand!”
Ismael couldn’t handle Flynn on the ground collision but everyone believed that he would defeat Flynn with his superb basketball skills.
“I’ve got this point!” Ismael gritted his teeth and looked at the basket while suspended in mid-air before throwing the ball.
At that moment when the ball left Ismael’s hand, Flynn had already jumped up to match him at eye level and slapped the ball towards the ground expressionlessly.
Ismael was shocked beyond words. Before he could react, he saw a cold light flash in Flynn’s eyes as he lifted his elbow!
Bang!
Flynn elbowed Ismael’s chest cavity causing it to sound like a drumbeat accompanied by broken ribs.
“Ah!” Ismael screamed as he fell heavily onto the cement floor.
His right cheek scraped against it leaving behind large patches of blood red marks.
However, that wasn’t all yet.
As soon as Flynn landed on top of him after delivering an elbow blow, he stepped on Ismael’s right hand which made a crisp cracking sound. That caused Ismael to scream in pain while holding onto it tightly.
“You dare lay your hands on me? You’re dead! You’ll definitely die!”
Flynn remained indifferent, “You’re too weak. I feel like I’m beating up little kids, which is embarrassing.”
He stared coldly at Ismael like looking at an ant with its leg broken without any ripples showing on his face.
Braiden rushed into center court upon seeing what happened. After taking a look at how distorted Ismael’s hand was,
his face turned icy cold.
He slowly stood up staring intently at Flynn and exuded murderous intent, “Ismael is my friend. Do you dare lay your hands on him?”
Flynn frowned, “What’s wrong with it, Swanson? Didn’t you see where that iron elbow went just now?”
“Can people who talk about martial arts use such despicable tactics?”
“Although I don’t know what Unmatched Boxing Gym is all about or who is running it-”
“I think there must be something seriously wrong with someone who claims to be his father!”
“Also, Ismael keeps calling himself ‘daddy.’ I highly doubt he talks to his father like that at home!”
“Since his dad doesn’t care, I’ll teach this trash how to be a decent human being. A useless person who has no one to rely on in life!”
Flynn’s derogatory comments about Ismael made his group of friends uneasy.
“Who the hell are you talking about? Mr. Cox is someone you can insult like this?”
“Don’t get too cocky. This isn’t over yet! Even if Mr. Cox wants to disable you, all you can do is suck it up! You’re just a son-in-law from an insignificant family who thinks you can act tough in front of us because of some brute strength? Apologize to Mr. Cox right now!”
“It’s okay for Mr. Cox to hit you, but not okay for you to hit him back! Throughout history, only those with power have oppressed the common people and rebelling against them is wrong!”
Braiden spoke coldly, “I didn’t see Ismael use any dirty tricks. I only saw you hitting him.”
“You’re slandering me without evidence and won’t get anyone’s recognition.”
After speaking, he turned around and looked at Madeline with narrowed eyes before asking coldly, “Ms. Kaur, did you see Ismael use any dirty tricks?”
Madeline was taken aback and slowly stood up while stuttering, “Mr. Swanson… I-I apologize on behalf of Flynn… let’s just forget about this incident.”
Braiden sneered and said, “Did you see that? Your wife apologized which means she also didn’t witness anything wrong done by Ismael.”
“This whole thing is your fault!”
Flynn frowned slightly as disappointment flashed through his eyes when he looked at Madeline.
“I saw it all!” Scarlet suddenly stood up and shouted loudly, “You used your power against my cousin so she wouldn’t speak out fearing repercussions from the Kaur family. But I’m not afraid!”
“Ismael elbowed Flynn multiple times then rammed into him with his shoulder more than ten times before using cheap tactics like knee strikes!”
“I saw it all! Every single bit of it!” She was fed up with everyone’s bias towards Ismael as well as these wealthy people who abused their power without regard for others.
Rose glanced at Scarlet then Madeline before shaking her head slightly.
She walked towards the center of the court indifferently saying, “I also saw Ismael using dirty tricks.”
Braiden’s eyes narrowed sharply emitting an icy chill as tensions rose on site.
Meanwhile, Elis stood nearby nonchalantly observing everything happening on court without batting an eye.
“Mr. Pearce, you’ve been standing here for a while. Why don’t you go help Mr. Clark?” Marcel approached and asked softly.
Elis asked, “Did Mr. Clark really knock out Black Wolf with one punch at the Peninsula Hotel last time?”
“Yeah, he punched him in the jaw and sent him flying a few meters back before he fell unconscious.”
“He’s still staying at the hospital now!”
Marcel nodded, still shaken by what had happened in the hotel.
Curious, he asked, “Why are you suddenly asking about this?”
Elis replied calmly, “Owen had a conflict with Mr. Clark when they first met on Phoenix Hill.”
“Mr. Clark lightly pushed him and Owen stumbled back a few steps.”
“Do you think Mr. Clark needs my help?”
“He’s like a dragon playing games. Nobody can take advantage of him!”
“Luckily Brandon called him that day. Otherwise, your fate would have been the same as Black Wolf’s!”
“Besides, the Swanson family has strong connections with other powerful families such as Woods family and Dragon Gate alliance.”
“The basketball court is where gods fight. Let’s not get involved!”
Marcel was shocked to hear this and felt overwhelmed.
“Oh! It’s just too bad!” Elis shook his head slightly and sighed, “Callie only recovered from her illness four days ago when some prominent families came to propose marriage to her!”
“Some of them were young talents but Callie only loves Flynn…”
“But your older brother is right – as long as Callie is happy, everything else should follow suit because getting married doesn’t mean it can’t end in divorce!”
After speaking these words, Elis turned around feeling emotional and walked back into the banquet hall.
The basketball court was tense.
Flynn grew impatient saying, “If Mr. Swanson wants to stand up for Ismael, then I’m ready anytime.”
“But I don’t like it when things become predictable then change unexpectedly!”
“So… does Mr. Cox want to play another round or not?”
Ismael raised his hand which was crushed underfoot angrily saying, “Do I look like someone who can continue playing?”
“Oh?” Flynn remained calm without any ripples on his face saying indifferently, “So does that mean you don’t admit you’re a man?”
“Do you know what’s most important for a person? Integrity. Without trust, one cannot stand!”
“You…” Ismael’s blood boiled with anger as he looked towards the group of attractive men and women on the sidelines.
His face turned from blue to purple, before gritting his teeth and saying, “Fine! I’ll compete with you. But if you dare lay a hand on me again, I’ll make sure you regret it for life!”
Flynn let out a cold laugh as an icy glint flashed in his eyes. “Don’t worry, I won’t lay a finger on you. But what comes next will be even more humiliating than physical violence.”
