“Don’t you dislike dancing?” Flynn asked, looking confused as Scarlet dragged him onto the dance floor.
“The meaning of a woman saying no is actually yes! If you sincerely ask again, I will definitely agree. You’re such a clueless straight guy!” Scarlet said in a domineering tone.
Flynn looked surprised.
Did “no” mean it was possible to be rejected, but if he asked a second time, they would agree?
Could he believe there were still people doing things like this?
Scarlet looked at Flynn with a puzzled expression and snorted lightly before continuing to ask, “Are you very happy today?”
“Not bad!” Flynn nodded.
Having earned one million just by having breakfast, how could one not be happy?
Flynn’s mouth had just lifted into a smile when Scarlet viciously pinched his waist.
“Hey! Why are you pinching me?” Flynn said unhappily.
Scarlet said fiercely, “You may be happy, but I am not!”
Flynn felt confused and said, “I don’t understand.”
“If you’re not happy, does that mean others aren’t allowed to be happy?”
“This is too domineering! Fine, before you cause trouble and in exchange for not doing so, I’ll give you 100, 000 dollars!”
Scarlet gritted her teeth in anger and gave him a hard punch, exclaiming,
“Was I talking about money? I was talking about Callie’s waist and hands…”
“Forget it! You’re like a block of wood, completely lacking emotional intelligence. Just forget it, you’re hopeless!”
“You don’t understand what women are thinking at all!”
After speaking, she gave Flynn’s waist a hard pinch again.
“Wow! Last time you bit my mouth and it hasn’t been settled yet, now you’re pinching me again! Watch me teach you a lesson!”
Flynn was thoroughly annoyed.
He was not one to be taken advantage of. His large hands slid down Scarlet’s slender waist and firmly squeezed the softest spot on her body.
This action was discreet, as they were closely pressed against each other, and no one would witness this scene.
“Ah!” Scarlet, in a coquettish tone, leaned back in Flynn’s arms as if being electrified.
The unique fragrance of a young girl entered Flynn’s nostrils, causing him to abruptly freeze, his gaze landing directly on Scarlet’s bosom.
Due to Scarlet’s exaggerated backward movement and her low-cut evening gown, from Flynn’s perspective, half of her ample bosom was exposed, revealing the black lace trim of her bra!
Flynn’s throat became dry, and a certain part of him nearly stood up. He quickly helped Scarlet regain her posture and created a five-finger distance between their bodies.
“Really big…” Flynn couldn’t help but glance again, silently exclaiming in his heart.
Seeing Flynn’s flushed face, Scarlet smugly remarked, “Do I smell good?”
“Chemicals have all been marinated, how can it not be fragrant?” Flynn’s casual remark made Scarlet’s face turn black. She pouted and coquettishly said, “Can’t you compliment me? Not even a little bit romantic.”
“You look like you’ve never touched a woman!”
Flynn couldn’t hold back his retort. “Who said that? I’ve had girlfriends since I was fifteen years old and have slept with them along the way!”
Scarlet sneered, “Your eyes are deceiving you, but it’s okay! We’re both first-timers, nothing to be ashamed of!”
“Okay, I’m not angry anymore! I forgive you today!” She blushed and smiled as she broke free from Flynn’s embrace and walked away from the dance floor.
“Forgive me? Did I offend her somehow?” Flynn rubbed his nose and followed after her.
Madeline was drinking alone when she saw the two approaching. She thought to herself coldly, “He must have come over to ask me to dance but got intercepted by Scarlet. He only went with her because of his pride.”
“In fact, he really wanted to dance with me so he came over again.”
“If Flynn asks me himself, then I’ll reluctantly agree just for his sake,” Madeline thought bitterly.
Flynn didn’t say anything about dancing though which made Madeline frown in confusion.
“Do you want to invite me for a dance but feel embarrassed about asking?” she asked him directly.
“Nope! You don’t know how to dance anyway. Just wondering where we should go next,” Flynn replied honestly.
Madeline took a few steps forward before stopping abruptly at the realization that he wasn’t going to ask her for a dance after all. It felt like there was a heavy stone pressing down on her chest as she felt embarrassed yet frustrated at herself for feeling this way.
Scarlet suggested they either watch basketball or play golf at Fish Dragon Villa which had various entertainment facilities such as swimming pools, cinemas, bars etcetera.
“I don’t know how to play golf so let’s go watch basketball instead,” Madeline said awkwardly while desperately wanting some fresh air outside.
The three of them arrived at the basketball court, and Scarlet noticed that Rose was also there. She pulled Flynn along and walked over.
“Rose is now the enemy of Niarak. Why are these two getting so close to her?” Madeline muttered, displeased, as she followed along.
After exchanging polite nods, they all took a seat.
Madeline greeted Rose and sat down not far from them.
On the court, a group of rich kids changed into their jerseys and split into two teams – red and white – to battle it out. Ismael was also on the court, displaying some impressive ball handling skills.
Flynn had barely sat down when he stole the ball and quickly went on a fast break, running all the way to the frontcourt for a one-handed dunk that instantly ignited the crowd.
“Wow! Mr. Cox’s moves are so cool and manly!” exclaimed one girl.
“Mr. Cox has martial arts training background with top-notch physical fitness; he can easily dominate his opponents. He already has 20 points with 16 rebounds in just over twenty minutes!” another added.
“Yes! And don’t forget about his six steals. I bet he’ll get a triple-double soon enough! With this level of skill, he could easily make it in NBA!”
Several girls around Flynn screamed incessantly, and Ismael, feeling quite proud, nodded in this direction. He was about to stylishly turn away when he saw Flynn, but his expression immediately darkened.
He walked over with a cold smile and provocatively said, “Hey, there’s a basketball court in prison. You must have learned how to play basketball during your ten years in there.”
“Do you want to give it a try?”
Still nursing a grudge from the recent setback, he wanted to showcase his superior basketball skills and dominate Flynn.
The girls nearby, upon hearing that Flynn had been in prison for ten years, instantly flashed a hint of disdain on their faces. They all moved away to the side.
Flynn ignored Ismael’s taunts completely while turning towards Rose, “Ms. Sharp, do you like basketball too?”
“What garbage!” Seeing himself being ignored, Ismael gave Flynn a disdainful thumbs-down gesture, and then spat a thick phlegm at Flynn’s feet.
Rose frowned slightly, nodded, and said casually, “Well… I don’t really have any hobbies except watching some American TV shows or NBA games.”
Flynn was surprised but smiled, “Really? Our interests match perfectly then! Who is your favorite player?”
“Iverson,” replied Rose without hesitation. “I admire his never-give-up spirit.”
“No way! Iverson is my favorite player too!” exclaimed Flynn.
He didn’t think he could find common ground with the icy woman. But then again, thinking about it, women like Rose only liked strong men.
Iverson is a renowned lone hero, once at the peak but never got a championship ring, much like Rose’s situation.
Flynn was lost in thought when suddenly a basketball flew towards Madeline! He was sitting in the second row and Madeline was too far away. By the time he jumped to the court, the basketball had already hit her on the shin with a loud bang!
The ball bounced off and Madeline bent down, holding her leg in pain.
Ismael caught the bouncing ball and sauntered over to Madeline with a playful smile on his face.
“Oops! Sorry about that. I threw too hard and my teammate missed it, hitting your leg instead.”
“Oh no! Your dress got dirty too. I’m so sorry about that. Why don’t you take it off now? I’ll wash it for you.” Ismael joked.
