“Your scar hasn’t fully healed yet, only the epidermis and dermis have healed. The subcutaneous tissue has not been repaired, so you need to continue applying the medicine… um… for another ten days should do it.”
Flynn went to Maybert Restaurant early in the morning but was disgusted by Milo and ate a lot at Braiden’s mansion. He finally felt full.
He wiped his mouth with a napkin, threw it into the trash can, and walked over to Rose to give her some instructions.
Then Flynn turned his head towards Braiden and said expressionlessly, “Mr. Swanson, if there is nothing else we need to discuss, we will leave now?”
Braiden looked like he had eaten shit as he stared coldly at them without saying anything. The shock on his face had not yet faded away.
Just as Rose took two steps away from them, she suddenly remembered something and turned around to Virginia, “I remember Mr. Swanson said that if Flynn cured my facial scars, he would not only let Flynn go but also make you apologize.”
“Mr. Swanson is Pelens’ young master. If he speaks irresponsibly, I’m afraid he will lose his integrity!”
Braiden sneered, “Ms. Sharp, don’t think that just because you escaped today means you’ll be safe in the future!”
“Today is just the beginning; your life will only get harder from here on out!”
“A hundred million investment may be a lot of money for others but it’s peanuts for me! Just wait and see!”
“Oh?” Rose raised an eyebrow indifferently, “So what? Do you want Virginia to apologize?”
Looking at her indifferent attitude made Braiden tremble with anger all over his body as he glared fiercely at Rose, “Virginia, apologize!”
“But Mr. Swanson I…”
“Apologize! I told you to apologize! Are you deaf or something?!”
Virginia shuddered with resentment when she heard this command from Braiden then reluctantly turned her head towards Flynn while saying apologetically, “I’m sorry.”
But Flynn didn’t even look back; he had already taken several steps out of there.
“Rose, don’t get too cocky because sooner or later I’ll make sure that there won’t be any place left for your burial! Sooner or later it will happen!” Virginia glared fiercely at Rose while gritting her teeth.
“Oh, I see.” Rose nodded expressionlessly and, under the watchful eyes of the crowd, gracefully left the estate. Her long hair floated, and her face, like the bright moon in late autumn, seemed to cut through the faces of the onlookers with every step. Although they were unwilling to admit it.
But that heartless woman who even dared to break the leg of her own uncle, and was so ungrateful that she could dismiss even the elders of the company without hesitation, had indeed returned!
This time, Rose will probably be even more ruthless and merciless!
After a brief moment of realization, Layla asked in shock, “How did Flynn become so powerful?”
She stared blankly at his departing figure as waves churned in her heart. Her cheeks felt a little sore.
Her voice was not loud but it struck everyone’s hearts like thunder. It caused a momentary silence.
“Ha!” Kimber rolled her eyes disdainfully and said, “Flynn went to prison at eighteen years old and spent ten years there. He doesn’t even have a medical license. Do you think he made that medicine himself?”
“I don’t know where he stole it from!”
“Besides, even if he made the medicine himself, I believe your ability is no worse than his.”
“You’ve improved your medical skills significantly recently. You can definitely cure Rose within a week.”
“Speaking of which, do you think Flynn could have made this medicine?”
Everyone suddenly realized.
“That’s right! Mr. Swanson asked him to make the medicine on site earlier but he refused! If he really had such ability would he refuse? He must have stolen it from some famous doctor!”
“Hmm! That guy is full of nonsense and completely unreliable. There’s no way he could make such an amazing medicine by himself. The prison is full of lowlifes like him who probably learned some tricks from some master thief or heard about someone buying medicine from a famous doctor then stole it themselves.”
“He’s just another lowlife criminal; there’s no way he could be an amazing doctor like those legendary ones who took decades to achieve their level.”
Layla felt relieved after hearing this.
Flynn was just an abandoned son with no background. How could he possess such incredible abilities? Even if he did have them, Layla herself wasn’t any less capable than him anyway… but did Flynn really have those abilities?
“I’m just overthinking things,” she thought to herself.
Milo also nodded in agreement, “Regardless what others say about him, Dr. Woods is still one-of-a-kind genius.”
“She learned medical skills under Lennon Porter since childhood and achieved such great success after twenty years.”
“How can someone like him understand medical skills when all he’s done for ten years is rot away in jail?”
Braiden sneered when hearing everyone discussing Flynn, “It’s nothing but small tricks. Does he really think he can intimidate me with this?”
“Let’s not talk about his medical skills. To rise in the business world, one needs funding, connections and the ability to rally support. Does Rose have any of these?”
“Hehe, it’s time to make Rose despair.”
Virginia and River’s eyes lit up after hearing this.
They knew that Braiden was going to take action!
Davies’ Pharmaceuticals was like a mouse facing an elephant when confronted with the Swanson family; they had no chance of defending themselves!
“Rose, we will get our face back sooner or later. You just wait!”
“Hey! If Rose followed fate, she could become a great woman. But she chose to fight against the Swanson Group and two other companies; her life is destined for hardship and it won’t be long before she falls from grace.”
“Forget her identity as a business rival. I actually admire this woman for being so tough! She’s too damn tough – even more so than men!”
“All prosperity is fleeting like clouds passing by. Inevitably, Rose will return to dust. Even if she refuses to admit defeat, she cannot withstand the crushing power of the Swanson Group and its two allies. The revival of Sharp family is just a beautiful dream!”
…
Flynn and Rose left the mansion.
Orion and Edwin followed them out after depositing billions into Rose’s account under an investment contract.
“Virginia won’t sincerely apologize. You did that for nothing,” Flynn said calmly.
“I just wanted to see her angry expression – what’s wrong with that?” replied Rose coldly.
Flynn couldn’t help but smile at how sometimes even strong women can still act like little girls.
Rose opened her car door and asked, “You mentioned earlier that Davies’ Pharmaceuticals has some problems – what kind of problems?” She was now in charge of Davies’ Pharmaceuticals and wanted to know everything about it.
“Just some minor issues,” Flynn waved his hand nonchalantly as he spoke, “Davies’ Pharmaceuticals has had frequent accidents in recent years – there might be something wrong with their geomancy.”
“I’ll go check on it in a few days – there’s nothing to worry about.”
Rose nodded her head and said, “Hmm… I’ll also look into it when I get back.”
“Geomancy is very important for businesses indeed. We should pay attention,” added Flynn.
“Hmm… thank you! Let’s keep in touch!”
She wasn’t good at expressing herself but thanked him anyway before getting into her car then driving away from the mansion.
“That’s all? No invitation for dinner or more conversation? How heartless!” Flynn watched in surprise and anger as Rose walked away.
He shook his head, no longer paying attention to these matters. He drove to a secluded place and called the director of the Ostrad Aviation Management Bureau.
“Help me check the private plane of the Swanson family from Pelens, the records of the past two days.”
“Sure, I want to find someone and talk to him about some things!”
