“Are you crazy? How dare you hit me here!” River covered his right cheek, surprised and angry.
He never thought that even digging up Tinley’s bones couldn’t threaten Rose. He raised his hand to slap back.
Flynn stood beside Rose, with a burst of hostility in his eyes, and his whole face darkened.
River couldn’t help feeling cold all over, and the hand raised in the air stopped.
“Security! Get these two out of here!” Milo shouted with a stern face.
More than ten bodyguards rushed over.
Layla looked at Braiden, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, her eyes flashing with coldness as if saying, “Mr. Swanson, don’t you want to come forward and explain?”
Although the Woods family and the Swanson family were allies of Dragon Gate, Layla had her own principles for doing things.
In business wars, conventional means such as price, information, resources and technology can be used. But stealing someone else’s formula was something Layla cannot accept. It was too shameless. If Braiden released Dragon Bone Pill next, she will not hesitate to turn around and leave.
“These two idiots!” Braiden muttered under his breath before shouting loudly, “Stop!”
The bodyguards were driven away by him.
He walked quickly towards Rose and smiled, “Ms. Sharp, when speaking, one should provide real evidence instead of talking nonsense.”
Rose was expressionless with sharp eyes like knives as she said, “Mr. Swanson, you know the best whether what I said is true or false.”
“It’s understandable that you took over the Sharp’s Group using capital means,” she continued calmly.
“But isn’t it too despicable to steal Dragon Bone Pill formula from me?”
Even though Rose had a calm personality who remained unfazed by anything big, seeing Braiden who started this mess made it difficult for her to suppress the anger in her heart completely.
Her hands clenched tightly together while strong resentment burst out from within those sharp eyes.
Dragon Bone Pill was stolen; the Stewart family turned their heads towards the Swanson family; Rose had reason to believe that Braiden was also involved in her mother’s death!
Braiden smiled coldly then called River over, “When will Ms. Richardson come?”
River whispered softly, “Ms. Richardson refused because there are some issues.”
“Oh?” Braiden frowned slightly then nodded, “Ms. Richardson should maintain doubts about the Swanson’s Group research institute’s ability.”
“Okay, let me send the video of the new medicine to Ms. Richardson later. I think she’ll be interested!” River nodded and gave Rose a fierce glare before stepping back.
Braiden then smiled at Rose and said, “Ms. Sharp, our three companies have acquired the Sharp’s Group and we understand your anger.”
“But if you use this as an opportunity to slander the Swanson’s Group in front of so many guests, I can’t promise anything!”
“Although Dragon Bone Pill is good, it’s not worth stealing because my product is even better!”
As soon as Braiden finished speaking, a huge projection screen slowly unfolded within the estate.
He sneered at Rose before turning around to head towards the main guest table.
“Ladies and gentlemen! In response to Ms. Sharp’s accusations, please allow me to release our new product ahead of schedule!”
“As you all know, the Swanson’s Group has a powerful research team that has invested 800 million dollars in research over recent years.”
“The team conducted tens of thousands of clinical trials on rheumatoid arthritis and finally solved this century-old problem!”
“Now I announce that the Swanson’s Group will launch its newest pharmaceutical product: Acebegron Clear Relief!”
“After injecting this drug into severe arthritis patients’ bodies for one hour, their pain will disappear.”
“And after twelve hours, their rheumatoid factors will turn from positive to negative! Please take a look at the screen!”
The projector slowly displayed groups of clinical data which further confirmed how powerful this drug was.
All celebrities present were amazed after seeing these results.
“These data are all certified by authoritative institutions. It seems like there is no mistake! The Swanson’s group is really amazing. They actually developed such a powerful drug that can cure severe rheumatism within days!”
“This medicine combines traditional and modern medicine with one liquid form and one solid form. Its efficacy differs greatly from the Dragon Bone Pill which is purely traditional herbal medicine. They are not even comparable products!”
“Mr. Swanson isn’t afraid of questioning his work – he slapped Rose hard with his new product! Now she has lost face in front everyone here – it may even lead her into legal trouble – definitely not worth it!”
Braiden was full of pride as he said, “Ms. Sharp, the injection developed by the Swanson’s group combines both traditional and modern Medicine together – we can cure Rheumatoid Arthritis patients within two days.”
“Whereas your Dragon Bone Pill consists only pure traditional herbal medicines which need continuous consumption for an entire month before curing any patient.”
“If you still don’t believe it, you can check out the Acebegron Clear Relief sample yourself.”
“Pharmaceutical companies can also take it back and have their own research and development teams test and compare!”
Rose’s heart sank when she heard this. She firmly believed that Acebegron Clear Relief was developed based on Dragon Bone Pill. However, they were not of the same nature, so accusing the Swanson’s Group of stealing the formula would be difficult!
Flynn frowned and walked slowly to the front desk. He opened a single-dose preparation and smelled it before saying lightly, “Ephedra is an effective ingredient for treating rheumatism, but excessive use can cause irreversible damage to the liver and kidneys.”
“The amount of ephedra in Acebegron Clear Relief injection exceeds controllable levels. I advise Mr. Swanson not to invest in production. Otherwise there will be risks when entering the market.”
He had previously come into contact with Dragon Bone Pill, so he knew its ingredients and proportions at a glance. He knew that Acebegron Clear Relief was made based on Dragon Bone Pill but changed its ingredient proportions, making it difficult to accuse Swanson’s Group of stealing Dragon Bone Pill.
Flynn didn’t want to argue with them about this. He just felt that Swanson’s Group R&D team was too clever for their own good.
Increasing ephedra dosage could indeed make rheumatoid factors disappear faster, but could cause serious damage to liver and kidney function.
In conclusion: curing rheumatism while damaging liver or kidney function would not be worth it.
Braiden’s face darkened as he coldly said, “I’ll leave you here at our new product launch event so I can prove my innocence.”
“You just proved that Swanson’s new drug has nothing to do with Dragon Bone Pill. What are you trying to accomplish by slandering Acebegron Clear Relief?”
Milo also looked angry, “Mr. Swanson, this man is Kevin’s cellmate who spent ten years in prison. He is now married into the Kaur family.”
“He must be unhappy about the Swansons’ acquisition of the Sharps’ group which led him here today causing trouble!”
Upon hearing this statement, everyone shook their heads one after another.
“Slandering a new drug just because you want revenge against the Swansons? How childish! Too childish! Ms. Sharp, you’ve been CEO for over ten years. How could you resort such petty tricks?”
“Young man, you spent ten years behind bars. You should walk on a straight path now. Do you really want go back inside again?”
“Rose, you don’t have the ability to save the Sharp’s Group, so you resort to these low tactics. Don’t you feel disgusted?”
Kimber said as everyone was outraged, “Miss, Flynn is really useless. He can’t even handle his own affairs and yet he’s here helping Rose!”
Layla didn’t say anything but looked at Flynn with indifference in her eyes.
“What are you doing? If this is your purpose for coming here, then please leave!” Rose looked at Flynn with some anger.
Flynn shook his head and said coldly, “I’m just trying to give some advice. Whether they listen or not is their problem.”
“My only real purpose for coming here is…”
“To declare war!”
