“I’m just talking to you, aren’t I?” Justice raised his eyebrows at Flynn’s words and tapped the contract heavily, sneering, “You sign your name and press your thumbprint on it, and this matter will be done.”
“Otherwise, I’ll find someone to make you sign it.”
“This is what I’m talking about. Why do you say there’s nothing to talk about?”
He finished speaking and threw a golden pen onto the table. Holding a cigarette between two fingers, he leaned back in his chair and exhaled smoke.
Flynn picked up the golden pen and looked at it before turning to squint at Justice with a cold smile on his lips.
Scarlet knew from this posture that Flynn was going to bully him again.
“Mr. Roy, let me remind you again that I hope you transfer the money back quickly or else you will really regret it!”
Justice had confidence in black money; there must be powerful people backing him up behind the scenes. Scarlet thought that less trouble was better than more trouble and advised him earnestly.
“Regret?” Justice almost choked on smoke after hearing this. He coughed a few times before sneering, “I don’t even know how to spell ‘regret’ since birth!”
“Is Mr. Clark considering who can handle this matter?”
“The Kaur family? Ha ha! A third-rate small family like them has no connections worth mentioning! I don’t even care about them.”
“You can call someone who can sit down with me as an equal, and I’ll transfer millions back for you.”
“However, if you want everything back, forget it. The person you found is definitely not as powerful as my big brother!”
“He’s from the Dragon Gate Group. Anyone who crosses him ends up in pieces and fed to the wolves. Can you handle that?”
Scarlet’s heart skipped a beat when she heard this. So Justice had some powerful connections after all! And they were from the Dragon Gate Group!
Seeing Scarlet’s reaction, Justice became even more pleased with himself and sneered at Flynn, “Dude, don’t struggle anymore. I don’t have time to waste on a fool like you.”
“If you mess with me, it’ll only bring bad luck for yourself. Just accept your fate!” He pushed the contract towards Flynn with a determined look on his face.
Flynn stopped twirling his pen and glanced at the contract again, his eyes turning into icy tornadoes beneath his arched eyebrows.
“Well then! Let’s sign this contract quickly so we can all be happy!” he said sarcastically.
“Otherwise, you’ll end up losing both your money and your life – not worth it!”
“Don’t hate me for teaching you a lesson by making you pay for it – consider me half of your teacher now.”
“The tuition fee isn’t too expensive either!”
Scarlet had never seen such a shameless person before. She scowled and said, “Brother-in-law, let’s not talk to him anymore. Let’s go to the police station and report him. I don’t believe that he’ll still be so arrogant when the police arrive!”
“Report me?” Justice sneered again, with a threatening tone. “If the police come, I might just return your money.”
“But you need to consider the consequences of what you’re doing!”
“I only need one phone call and the Kaur family will be done for. So think carefully about whether you want to cut your losses or report me.”
Flynn looked disdainful as he coldly remarked, “I really can’t understand why a billionaire like you would act so arrogantly. Is your father really some kind of god?”
“Orion has never spoken to me like this before.”
“Orion?” Justice’s smile froze for an instant before he burst out laughing loudly and said, “You’re killing me! With that baby face of yours barely sprouting any hair yet, how could Orion have talked nicely to you?”
“Of course Mr. Kennedy wouldn’t talk to someone like you in that way because he doesn’t even know who you are,” Justice retorted.
“Young man, watch your mouth! If Mr. Kennedy finds out what you’ve been saying about him then he won’t even need my help in taking care of things!” Justice threatened.
“Don’t give me that ‘Mr. Kennedy ‘ crap! If I had that kind of power then I’d be king of the North Pole or General Dragon Cavalry!”
“You’re just pretending and trying too hard – can’t even come up with something more believable than that? You’re pathetic!”
Scarlet decided it was best not get involved anymore; she sat far away from Justice and watched quietly as Flynn continued his response, “I have other things to do today so I don’t want waste any more time here.”
“Whoever’s dog you are, tell them to come over here. It won’t take much effort for me to deal with them and get my money back,” Flynn said calmly, ignoring Justice’s taunts.
Justice’s face suddenly turned sinister as he spoke in a cold voice, “You little bastard, do you even know what you’re saying?”
Flynn took a sip of water and remained expressionless as he replied, “I’m giving you five minutes.”
Flynn’s indifference felt like silent mockery and ridicule to Justice. Offended by it, he suddenly became furious and shouted out loud, “You damn dog! So it turns out that you never intended to sign the contract in the first place. You were just playing games with me!”
His voice was so loud that all the diners around them turned their heads.
“Oh! Isn’t that Justice Roy from Hogstones Group? Why is he so angry? His company is only worth a few billion dollars. He relies on his connections but not many people dare not give him face.”
“It seems like they were discussing a contract and after transferring the money, this guy changed his mind and wants Justice to refund him instead. But since Justice has some powerful backers behind him who can help him bully others around Niarak City without consequences.”
“This guy not only reneges on his promises but also speaks arrogantly about leaving one hand for both himself and Justice’s backers! Ignorance truly breeds fearlessness! Although I don’t know who is backing up Justice here whoever it is must be very influential if they can make Justice walk sideways in Niarak!”
The diners around them started discussing animatedly among themselves while feeling that Flynn was too reckless.
“Do you hear me?” With an air of superiority on his face once again after hearing these comments from others nearby, Justice lit another cigarette casually before blowing out smoke rings while speaking, “Talking nonsense won’t get you anywhere here; pretending in front of me will only make yourself look more ridiculous.”
“In this world we live in today, it’s all about strength – survival of the fittest. Just bluffing your way through things doesn’t work!”
“I’ve wasted enough time talking here; I’ve given multiple chances already. If you still refuse to sign this contract then not just you but also the Kaur family will suffer catastrophic consequences!”
“I heard Madeline looks pretty good; your girlfriend there looks quite attractive too. I bet my big brother would love her!”
“Do you want to stick to your tough talk or sign the papers? Because once you make a decision, you might regret it for the rest of your life with no way to salvage it!” Justice finished speaking and stood up, cigarette in hand. He leaned forward towards Flynn, towering over him and threateningly said, “I’ll ask you one last time: sign or don’t sign?”
After hearing this exchange, everyone realized where Flynn came from – the Kaur family. A small and unknown family that had been teetering on the brink of collapse for years with no connections.
Justice may not have been particularly skilled himself but he had powerful people backing him up. Just two years ago he had tried to get some projects from the Thomas family but they refused and were extremely arrogant about it. However, the very next day they handed over those same projects to Justice.
This showed just how strong his backers were compared to the weak Kaur family who was no match for him.
But at this moment Flynn struck like lightning, grabbing Justice by his neck and slapping him across his face with a loud smack! The force of his blow caused Justice’s chubby cheeks to tremble as sparks flew from his mouth mixing saliva with cigarette smoke.
“You’re right,” said Flynn coldly. “Once a decision is made there’s no turning back.”
“Only endless regret for the rest of my life!” Flynn stood up straight, staring at Justice with an expressionless face.
