Madeline’s heart skipped a beat. She pulled Flynn aside and whispered, “Are you crazy? The chief of police is here. You need to calm down!”
“Is this guy insane? Is he really going to start a fight in front of the chief of police?” Madeline thought to herself.
Flynn waved his hand dismissively and looked at Estella with narrowed eyes. “Since you’re the queen bee of Asco Entertainment, it’s your responsibility to keep these chickens and ducks in line. They have no manners whatsoever.”
With that, he slapped her across the face.
Smack! The sound echoed through the room.
Estella fell forward onto the table, covered in soup and vegetables, looking disheveled.
“You bastard!” Emanuel immediately became enraged and pulled out his gun. He shouted angrily, “You’re blatantly defying authority. I have every right to shoot you dead right now! Get down on your knees!”
“Right now!” His voice was authoritative as he cocked his gun.
Flynn wiped his hands calmly and sat down as if nothing had happened, ignoring Emanuel’s warning completely.
Estella’s eyes were filled with anger, her makeup smudged, and she trembled as she spoke, “You have no respect for anyone in Asco Entertainment company. You either call us old things or chicken and duck, and now you even hit me. Do you really think we have no temper?”
Despite being a walking advertisement for luxury brands that begged her to be their spokespersons, Estella couldn’t stand the constant provocation from this guy who had shown them no respect from beginning to end.
Emanuel nodded his head and placed his finger on the trigger.
The other female stars saw Estella being hit and immediately erupted in anger.
“You’re just a son-in-law of a small family who has been reformed through labor. Do you think you’ve become something special? Dogs will always be dogs; you’ll never rise above your station!”
“Ms. Hickman is such an esteemed person that we dare not speak harshly to her. How dare you hit her? This matter won’t end until Mr. Howe arrests you! I’ll hire the best lawyer to sentence you to death!”
“We may be proud but Mr. Howe has spoken; try acting arrogant again! Don’t they say we lack manners? Well then, let me show it to you!”
“Come on, I’m going to slap this bitch right now! If anyone touches me back, they’re just cowards – worthless dogs!”
As she spoke she reached out her hand towards Madeline’s face.
Madeline saw what was happening and fearfully blocked with her hand before stumbling back two steps.
Flynn grabbed Madeline’s slender waist with one hand while holding onto the wrist of the female star who had tried hitting Madeline with another hand.
His indifferent gaze suddenly turned cold as he squinted his eyes saying, “You must apologize to my wife right now or else I don’t mind sending your face back for another round of reconstruction.”
The female star sneered, “You can only talk big. Mr. Howe is already here. Do you dare to hit me in front of him?”
“Even if I apologize to your wife, do you think this bitch will accept it?”
“Or maybe you know what consequences will come if you hit me again…!”
Smack!
Flynn slapped her and she flew five meters in the air before hitting the ground hard and passing out.
“Good! Very good!” Emanuel pointed his gun at Flynn’s head, gritting his teeth. “Since you refuse to be arrested, then I…”
“Stop!” a voice shouted.
Jasper stood at the door of the private room with a cold expression on his face.
Travis stood behind him with a deep frown on his brow.
An hour ago, he had attended a banquet hoping to ease tensions between his and Pearce families.
It didn’t go well.
Before they could finish their drinks, Jasper suggested meeting Estella and Travis followed along.
To their surprise, Flynn was also there with Emanuel holding a gun to his head!
“Mr. Pearce and Mr. Richardson, yesterday…” Madeline quickly explained what had happened leading up to this moment.
“Don’t worry Ms. Kaur. I already understand,” Jasper smiled after hearing Madeline’s explanation before turning to Travis and saying, “Mr. Richardson, how do you suggest we handle this situation?”
Travis’s face changed constantly, and he turned to Emanuel and asked, “Do you know that Asco Entertainment forced Ms. Kaur to come here and humiliate her?”
Emanuel quickly put away his gun and honestly replied, “I haven’t had a chance to find out yet.”
“You want to kill someone without knowing the whole story?” Travis said in a low voice.
Emanuel was stunned again and embarrassedly said, “I just wanted to scare him. I didn’t dare really shoot!”
“Flynn beat up someone from Asco Entertainment in front of me. He has serious violent tendencies. I plan to take him back for further questioning.”
“I didn’t see Mr. Clark hit anyone!”
“But you pointed your gun at his head and almost shot him!”
Emanuel suddenly understood that Travis was helping Flynn!
Estella also understood what was going on. Her face darkened as she walked over and pointed at her own face angrily, saying, “Mr. Richardson, four people were lying on the ground but you turned a blind eye. Did you see the handprint on my face at least?”
“If you keep favoring him like this, are you not afraid that I will report this all the way up to the state level?”
“To be honest with you,” Estella continued with a hint of pride in her voice,”Mr. Francis from the State Police Department even invited me to attend their ribbon cutting ceremony two days ago!”
Jasper couldn’t help but be surprised as he interjected, “Are you referring Tom Francis, right?”
“Coincidence? He’s actually a student of my father. When you go to the state, could you help my father bring him a gift?”
Estella’s face turned black and she was choked up, unable to speak.
Travis shook his head and smiled. “You misunderstood me. I’m just trying to understand the situation.”
“Don’t worry, I will definitely give you a satisfactory explanation for what happened in Niarak.”
“How about this? I’ll hold a press conference right away and report on this matter from beginning to end.”
“Why did Mr. Clark hit people? What are you doing in Niarak? I’ll explain everything to the public so that everyone can supervise the progress of the case together, how about that?”
