Lilly POV
I keep gasping for breath as I walked to the class like a zombie. What the heck! I can’t believe that bastard made me run around the pitch for some stupid reasons known to him because I know the former coach is definitely not the one that asked him to. Gosh! I feel like I’m going to die anytime soon, I feel like I need oxygen.
Stepping into the class, thankfully I got to the class before him. As soon as I got in, I dragged my feet to my seat and sat comfortably. There’s no way in hell I’m ever going to allow her to share a seat with me, he’s an asshole.
“Nina come on…” I beckoned on her to come over, and she looked around foolishly before dragging her feet to my seat.
“Come have a seat.” I dragged her to sit with me as soon as she got close, while she gave me a blank look. This girl is one hell of a dumb ass.
“Lilly what’s…” She made to talk, but I threw her a glance and she quickly shut her mouth. Minutes later, the door to the class opened and that jerk walked in egoistically with his hands tucked into his pockets like some macho man, gosh! I hate him so much. He threw away my precious hairpin.
He walked over to my seat, a smirk curled up at the corner of his lips as he looked down at me, but who wants to look at his ugly face? Definitely not me.
“Don’t be heartless, Lilly. He’s super handsome.” My subconscious mind snapped at me, and I was forced to roll my eyes. So what? What if he’s handsome? He’s not the only handsome dude, is he? I wonder why good-looking men are always these arrogant. First, it was that jerk back at the restaurant. Each time I still think of the incident, I always find myself scoffing out loud. Like that dude is the most arrogant young man I’ve ever seen. He looks so innocent outside, but a jerk inside. I pity for the woman that’ll make the mistake of falling for him.
“Excuse me, miss…” I heard him say, but heck! I didn’t bother raising my gaze to look at him. I mean what for? Nina quickly stood up, and before I could comprehend what was happening, she had already run away. Gosh! Is this girl reliable at all?
“What do you want?” I asked, but he just stared at me like I wasn’t talking to him. He sat down and crossed his legs while staring into space and I just resist the scoff that tore through my throat.
“If you have time enough, why not use it to study, huh?” He rolled his eyes, and I shook my head unbelievably.
All through the class, I just couldn’t help glaring at him every that passed, as I prayed that the school dismisses quickly so I can leave for the dorm. After what seemed like forever, the school was finally dismissed and I quickly packed my backpack.
“Come on Nina, let’s go,” I said as I hung my backpack on my shoulder and gave him one last glare before I finally left with Nina…
Author POV
Raymond stared at her till she was out of his sight, as he couldn’t help the smile that formed on his lips. Everything about her was so cute, even when she was angry. Of course, he wants to make her his revenge tool but turns out that she’s taming him slowly and he didn’t like that.
Bringing his hand out of his pocket, he stared down at the hairpin in his hand as his slowly dissipated into a frown. He didn’t throw the hairpin away, but instead, he kept it.
He sighed softly then stood up and picked up his backpack before walking out of the class and straight to the parking lot where his expensive-looking car was parked. He hopped in and drove out of the compound.
After a few minutes drive, he finally got to his mansion and parked at the garage before going to the entrance door. Stepping into the spacious room, he was welcomed by the silence and boredom of the beautiful house. He lives alone in the whole house, and not that he’s bothered about it, he likes it when he lives alone.
He strides to the staircase egoistically and climbed it till he got to the front of one of the doors in the hallway, and pushing it open, he walked inside the spacious and well-decorated room. As soon as he walked in, he threw his backpack on the bed and slumped beside it. The thought of Lilly filled his mind, and somehow he found himself smiling. She was driving him to the edge of craziness.
“What are you doing to me?” He mumbled in between a sigh, as he ruffled his hair crazily. As much as he wants to stop himself from thinking about her, that seems to be the most difficult thing to do, as he always found himself drifting into her thoughts, and it’s already alarming.
All he wanted was just to find out something about the girl, all he wanted was just to know the connection between her and Kai, he wasn’t planning to have anything serious with her or be friends with her, but it seems she already tamed his heart, and his boldness is now zeroed to nothing.
The sound of his ringing phone pulled his attention back to reality, but he ignored the call and didn’t even bother to check who the caller was. He sighed deeply as he stood up to go into the bathroom, but the sound of his ringing phone brought him to an abrupt halt, as he was forced to bring it out from his pocket, and without checking who the caller was, he slide the answer button with his gaze staring into space.
“You need to come to the base camp, right away.” The masculine voice sounded from the other end, and the call disconnected immediately…
