Alexander remained calm and smiled. “Miss Sharp,” he said calmly. “We had some disagreements during our partnership five years ago. I voluntarily terminated our agreement at that time. Why are you still holding onto grudges from back then? And why are you trying to smear my name today? That’s just petty.”
He turned towards his agent and gave him a signal before continuing, “Five years ago, I went to the Sharp’s Group for a signing ceremony where I met Miss Sharp’s secretary Virginia Coffey.”
“That girl came to me complaining about how Miss Sharp would often verbally abuse her over small things and even physically assaulted her on several occasions – she wanted to leave for my studio.”
“I thought it wasn’t right for me to poach someone else’s employee so I advised Miss Sharp treat Virginia better instead but she took offense at my suggestion – she even slapped Virginia in front of me.”
“I didn’t want anything more do with the Sharp’s group after seeing how she treated her employees like that – combined with other unresolved details regarding our cooperation – so I decided not sign up.”
His words caused another twist in the situation.
“So that’s how it is! I knew Alexander wasn’t that kind of person. He’s been working hard for five years and has never had a scandal. How could such a sunny boy do something so dirty?”
“Rose used to be very domineering. I’ve had several business dealings with her, and my impression was that she was not very friendly, and she didn’t treat her subordinates well.”
