“I’ll take care of it!” Layla said calmly.
“Step aside! My lady can handle this!” Kimber pushed Flynn aside and gave him a fierce glare.
Everyone was shocked.
Layla took out a few silver needles from her pocket and inserted them into the thirteen acupoints.
Flynn frowned slightly. He had already started treating the old lady, who would wake up in two minutes.
But Layla’s needle placement was accurate, and she didn’t harm the old lady. He remained silent.
Two minutes later, the old lady slowly opened her eyes.
“She woke up! It’s a miracle!”
The hall erupted in cheers as everyone looked at Layla with admiration.
Layla was stunned. She had only completed half of her diagnosis, and she wasn’t completely sure how the old lady woke up so quickly?
Had her medical skills improved again?
After being surprised for a moment, Layla’s eyes flashed with pride.
Kimber was unfazed by the attention and introduced Layla proudly. “She is called Layla Woods.”
“She’s an inner disciple of the Green Liniment Ghost Doctor! Treating this kind of illness is a piece of cake for her!” The short introduction was like a boulder thrown into a pond, causing waves of amazement.
“She’s actually an apprentice of the Green Liniment Ghost Doctor! No wonder she’s so powerful. To meet someone who knows the Green Liniment Ghost Doctor here, this old lady is really lucky!”
“I heard that the Green Liniment Ghost Doctor can heal people even if they’re already bones. There’s a female disciple in their sect who has mastered his true teachings and is known as the first saintly hand in Southern Territory. Her surname seems to be Woods… ”
“That’s right! I saw Miss Woods’ real face on the cover of the top medical journal, Nature!”
The crowd surrounded Layla like she was a superstar, eagerly handing over their business cards hoping to make connections.
Flynn was once again stunned.
Green Liniment Ghost Doctor Lennon had gone to Demon Island three times with tears in his eyes wanting to become his disciple.
Flynn had tried several times to enlighten Lennon but never expected that Layla would be that old man’s apprentice!
Layla simply waved her hand indifferently and looked at Flynn coldly, “You see it too. We are not from the same world. I hope you’ll stop bothering me now.”
“My lady treats rich people and charges no less than 50, 000 dollars per consultation fee,” Kimber added smugly.
“And you can’t even earn 5, 000 per month. How could you possibly deserve Miss Woods?”
Kimber rolled her eyes, her nose almost touching the ceiling. “And our Miss is the Woods family’s daughter, a true gem of society. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and you’re not even fit to be in her presence.”
“Give up your fantasies,” she continued, “Miss Woods is Lennon’s apprentice and has sold millions of copies of her book. You can only dream of being on her level.”
Finally understanding, everyone realized that this unremarkable man before them was pursuing the Miracle Doctor Woods.
“You can’t even make 5, 000 a month and you think you can pursue her? How laughable!” one person sneered.
“The Woods family is worth billions and Miss Woods has skills for days. If you want to mooch off someone else’s success, take a look at yourself first! You’re nothing but a frog!” another chimed in.
“A rich boy pursuing the Miracle Doctor wouldn’t even get noticed here let alone someone like you who doesn’t have two pennies to rub together.”
Flynn couldn’t help but chuckle as he turned towards Layla, “I’ve read your medical papers before and they were nothing special,” he said nonchalantly. “Lennon, that old man, isn’t good at teaching medicine or life lessons either.”
“I’ll have to give him an earful next time I see him!”
The group erupted once again at Flynn’s words.
“What did he just say? Old man?” one person exclaimed incredulously. “He called Mr. Porter the old man?”
“He acts like he knows Mr. Porter personally! Someone like him doesn’t even qualify to meet with Miracle Doctors! He should focus on curing his own illnesses instead of talking nonsense here!”
“He doesn’t know anything about himself yet dares criticize Miss Wood’s work? He truly has no shame!”
“Calling my master by name, that’s just damn disrespectful!” Layla’s face was as cold as ice, her voice sharp.
“But since I ruined the marriage first, I won’t hold it against you this time.”
“Go apologize to Tessa, be sincere and maybe she’ll spare you a few bucks for your sorry ass existence!”
With that, Layla left Flynn with a haughty backside and surrounded by her bodyguards. Flynn watched her leave with a cold smile.
“I’ll go to the Clark family, but not now. December 21st is Tessa’s birthday. I’ll give her a big gift myself.”
“Hah! Only tough when no one is around to see it. The more powerless they are, the more they talk.” A traveler saw Flynn’s dark expression and sneered at him.
Before he could turn away though, a chubby man came running up with red cheeks.
“Mr. Clark…”
The chubby man smiled and bowed lowly before taking Flynn’s bag like an obedient servant.
Everyone in the airport was stunned by this scene.
“Oh my god! Isn’t that Edwin Gallagher? The billionaire in Niarak? He’s acting like someone else’s servant!”
“What on earth is going on here? This young man…”
This sudden turn of events left everyone speechless.
They blushed and moved aside, afraid that Flynn would hold them accountable later.
Flynn calmly said, “You must be Orion’s friend, Edwin!”
Edwin quickly nodded in fear and said, “I thought you were coming on a private jet and have been waiting in the VIP channel. I didn’t expect you to come on a regular commercial flight…”
Yesterday, Edwin received a call from Orion and knew about Flynn’s terrifying background. He put in extra effort for this pickup service by going to Flynn’s high school alma mater to check his photo and even donated 5 million dollars to the school.
He didn’t expect there would still be flaws during the pickup service which made Flynn wait at the airport for more than half an hour. Now he was scared out of his wits.
“It’s okay.” Flynn waved his hand indifferently and got into his Rolls-Royce.
Seeing the two leave, those who had just mocked Flynn were now terrified with cries of despair.
“I’m finished! I finally managed to get Mr. Gallagher’s butler through my connections. If this nobleman says something bad about me, my business is done!”
“I talk too much! Damn it! I’m going to die! I won’t dare speak recklessly again…”

The Kaur family…
Flynn took out a scroll from his bag and lightly knocked on the door.
In recent years, paintings signed by “Timothy Houghton” had become famous overseas, with each auction price exceeding millions.
Flynn knew that Matteo also liked art.
So he painted a piece called “Scenery in Mist and Rain” as a gift for their meeting before his release from prison.
The door opened and a sleepy-eyed girl appeared at the doorway.
She wore a vintage school uniform, with delicate lace accentuating her slender and shapely legs. Her curves were perfectly outlined.
She had no extra decorations on her body. Her black hair was tied up naturally, falling over her ears. A bit of drowsiness could be seen on her doll-like face.
The girl was obviously sleeping. When she saw Flynn, she first looked surprised, then frowned slightly.
“Oh Scarlet, you’re here too!” Flynn smiled and said to Scarlet Wong.
Scarlet Wong was Madeline’s niece whom Flynn had met several times before. She just turned twenty years old and came to Niarak after graduating from college. She temporarily lived with the Kaur family.
Looking at Flynn carrying an oilcloth bag full of cheap goods all over his body, Scarlet couldn’t help but wrinkle her nose at this ordinary-looking guy who seemed unable to make it in life. What can she expect from him?
After all these years that Uncle Kaur helped them mother and son out so much, he still had the nerve to come back as their son-in-law after being released from prison? He was even more shameless than begging on the street!
“Change shoes!” Scarlet yawned and returned to her bedroom after speaking.
At that moment, a cry of surprise and a girl’s flattery came from the study.
“This is amazing! The painting of the cold pine trees in the secluded valley is truly a masterpiece!”
“Sega Auction House just received several pieces of Timothy’s genuine paintings yesterday. I heard you’re his biggest fan, Mr. Simpson, so I went ahead and bought it early. Seeing that you like it, I can rest easy.”
“Timothy?” Flynn raised an eyebrow as he put the package and painting in the foyer before walking over quickly.
In the antique study, several people were gathered around admiring a painting.
Flynn approached them and was instantly stunned.
Wasn’t this his discarded draft that he drew while in prison?
