Chapter 750: Extra Story 22 – Hattie

Book:Mr. Burns Is Killing His Wife Published:2024-6-4

“What if I insist that you have a child for me?” Harry asked Hattie, almost demanding.
Hattie wasn’t angry; after all, she had seen all sorts of bad behavior from Harry. She calmly replied, “Find someone else to bear your child. I imagine as Mr. Harry, there are plenty of women willing to do so, like Fiona.”
“She’s an amputee, how can she conceive and take care of a child?”
“That’s your problem. Besides, the child she bears would be legitimate as your wife’s, while the child I bear would only be a private illegitimate child.”
“With me around, the child won’t be illegitimate. We can name him Mason, and I will provide him with the best education and accompany him as he grows up,” Harry said, gently massaging Hattie’s scalp. In his mind, he even pictured the scenes of Hattie giving birth to a child-a boy resembling her and a girl resembling himself, both undoubtedly adorable.
It’s fine if the child doesn’t share his surname. The surname Mason allows for many beautiful names.
With a child, perhaps Hattie could let go of her hatred, and maybe she would return to the past, who knows.
Hattie seemed swayed by his words and asked, “Do you really want me to bear a child for you? If I do, will you never find someone else?”
“I only want your child,” Harry replied.
Harry’s tone was serious, as if he had firmly set his sights on her as the birth mother.
According to Harry, Fiona’s disability made it difficult for her to conceive and care for a child, so it would be better not to have one.
He also had no intention of using a surrogate, as it was illegal. Harry was an outlaw after all, and having a child was not impossible for him, but it was relatively troublesome and difficult to manage.
Harry detested trouble, and his reluctance to run between two women was evident in his decision to have them live together.
Hattie was the easiest for him to manipulate, and he could easily make her conceive a child.
Sometimes, the body was beyond Hattie’s control. She couldn’t control getting pregnant, but she could decide whether the child would be born.
At that moment, an idea formed in her mind.
“Alright then, remember your words. As long as I bear the child,” Hattie said.
Harry was somewhat surprised by Hattie’s agreement. His actions came to a halt, thinking he would need to work harder to convince her.
“You agreed?”
“After all, I can’t refuse, can I?” Hattie mocked herself. “Actually, what you said is true. By giving birth to a child, I can leave a legacy for the Mason family. When the child grows up, they might even inherit a portion of your wealth.”
“Forget about the inheritance, they can have the entire family,” Hattie replied, increasingly scornful. She couldn’t fathom what Harry was up to-giving her a blow and then a sweet treat, talking about inheritance and his family. None of it interested her.
If there was anything in this world that could bring her a bit of joy, it would probably be seeing Harry bankrupt, with nothing to his name, impoverished and unable to have the love he desired. Rebirth would be difficult for him!
Only his suffering could bring her happiness.
Harry’s happiness didn’t seem fake on his face. Since he was so eager to have a child, she would give him one.
Harry, I’ll make you break the family line with me!

Having known Harry for so long, Hattie understood him too well. His words couldn’t be fully trusted. Now he said something, but in the future, when the child was born and inherited his family, who knows?
Hattie didn’t forget what he had said earlier-whatever Fiona wanted, he would give her.
Everything had to yield to Fiona, and her mischievous nature only added to that.
Hattie didn’t like people who were too mischievous, but now the more Fiona acted up, the more she liked it.
After washing Hattie and her hair, Harry carried her, gently drying her body with a clean towel, and then placed her on the bed to blow-dry her hair.
Harry had done these things before and didn’t find them troublesome. It’s just that in the past, he preferred to leave marks on Hattie’s body.
Now, Hattie is covered in bruises, making it impossible for him to lay a hand on her.
“When are you marrying Fiona?”
“Do you really care about her? Or are you just jealous?”
“Harry, you have a big face.”
He’s such a saint, while Hattie, with her proud nature, wouldn’t want to be just a lover. If she frequently mentions Fiona, doesn’t that mean she cares?
Harry actually has some self-awareness and knows that Hattie wouldn’t be jealous.
Hattie asked, “It takes a long time to prepare for a wedding, so when will it be?”
Stewart Group’s ancient turtle of a CEO is finally getting married. It’s going to be quite a grand event. Hattie calculated the dates for herself.
“I’m not in good health, so getting pregnant might be difficult. Can you help me get some medicine? I’ll write the prescription myself.”
Hattie didn’t wait for an answer. She turned around and saw Harry gazing at her with deep eyes. She instantly understood what he was thinking.
“Don’t worry, I said I’ll try to get pregnant properly. I won’t take any random medicine. If you don’t trust me, you can take the prescription to a doctor for verification.”
Harry did have some doubts about Hattie just now, considering how much she hated him.
“Let’s go to sleep.”
“I can’t sleep. I want to take sleeping pills.” Hattie had shallow sleep and frequent nightmares, making it difficult for her to fall asleep. It had been a long time since she had a good night’s sleep, especially with Harry beside her.
“Taking too many sleeping pills is not good. Since we’re preparing for pregnancy, you can’t take any of these medicines. I’ll go downstairs and make you a cup of warm milk.”
After saying that, Harry got up and left the bedroom. Hattie also sat up straight, feeling sore all over. Taking a hot bath didn’t help much.
Damn it.
Hattie cursed and started planning what to do next. Harry wasn’t without weaknesses; he cared about her, and that was his weak spot.
Hattie couldn’t be considered very smart. Her previous thoughts were plain, and she was content with the status quo, taking things step by step, down to earth, without much ambition.
But now, to get back at Harry, she would use all her ambitions. She wanted him to go bankrupt, to have no descendants.
There’s a saying she likes online: “I don’t hope for his bright future. I want him to be poor and destitute, to have countless admirers but no one who truly cares for him. I want him to remember my goodness every night and never forget me for the rest of his life, but I won’t be by his side.”
Harry managed to elevate his family to their current position in such a short time. Hattie didn’t believe there wasn’t something else behind it. One day, she would catch him in a compromising situation.
Harry quickly returned, having gone to the kitchen downstairs to make a cup of ginger milk. Ginger can warm the stomach and the body.
Harry knew that Hattie didn’t like ginger.
“Adding ginger is good for your body. It will warm you up when you drink it.” Harry wasn’t a doctor, but he could clearly feel the heavy chill on Hattie’s body. Her hands were always cold.
Some people harm others under the guise of “being good to you.” Hattie used to be afraid of bitterness, but she has experienced countless hardships over the years. What does a bit of ginger taste matter? She took the whole cup and drank it.
“Okay, you can leave now. I’m used to sleeping alone. If you want me to conceive your child as soon as possible, don’t bother me in the future. I can’t sleep when I’m with you, and if I don’t sleep well, my health deteriorates, making it difficult to get pregnant. If you force me to get pregnant at this time, my body won’t be able to handle it, and I might have a habitual miscarriage. You figure it out yourself.”
