Chapter 334: My Great Movie Emperor, Can You Tell Me Why Your Face Is So Red?

“Why are you talking to her so much, senior brother? She is such a poor actress. Even if you explain the techniques to her, she won’t understand. It’s just a waste of time,” Filippa said, pulling Sebastian with an air of disdain and contempt as if looking at trash when glancing at Elisa.
Sebastian looked at Filippa with some disagreement, but he didn’t verbally refute her. Instead, he reached out and playfully tapped her forehead, his actions filled with fondness.
Surprisingly, Elisa could sense the same vibe between these two as the one between “Ezra” and “Camellia.”
Unfortunately, she wasn’t Brigitta, unable to portray the possessive and obsessive feelings towards the male lead. Filippa didn’t want to waste time interacting with Elisa, so after a perfunctory exchange, she forcibly dragged Sebastian away.
These actions were like a double-edged sword.
Elisa didn’t want to grant Filippa’s wish of stepping on her.
At present, encountering difficulties was normal. In her eyes, she didn’t face ordinary steps, but rather walls towering above her, ones she could never scale without overcoming them.
Elisa was well aware of her situation. Among the 68 artists in the program, she was the only one without a professional background, without any works, audience, or fans. All people knew about her were negative rumors.
She needed to work harder than others to compensate for these shortcomings. If she couldn’t find someone to act opposite her, she might fail in the first act.
She needed to think carefully. She had already memorized her lines, what she needed was to cultivate the emotions, to truly embody “Brigitta.”
A master of acting… but who had the time to act opposite her now?
Elisa was immersed in the script when her phone, placed in her bag, suddenly vibrated.
Elisa checked her phone and saw a Facebook message.
Louis: “Are you busy? How’s the script preparation going? Do you need any help?”
After a moment, Elisa’s lips curled into a faint smile.
What a coincidence, the free master of acting came just when she needed him.

“In the rehearsal room, no one is acting opposite me, and I’m not delivering the lines well. What should I do?” Louis stared at the last word, “do,” in bewilderment. Elisa had never used this tone in her messages before.
He tried to quietly read the message in Elisa’s voice in his head, involuntarily conjuring up her image, like a soft and charming rabbit, tugging at his sleeve.
“Wait.” After replying to the message, Louis immediately put on his hat and mask without a word and stealthily left the hotel for the rehearsal room.
He didn’t feel much leaving the hotel, but when he reached the entrance of the rehearsal room and was about to take the elevator, Louis suddenly became nervous. As the floors ascended, he felt his heart rising as well, almost choking him.
It was an inexplicable thrill, like skipping school to meet a girlfriend.
Louis couldn’t help but imagine some romantic scenes. What if there was a kissing scene in the play? Should he kiss or not? If he couldn’t control himself and kissed Elisa, what if she got angry? Girls were sensitive, he shouldn’t scare her.
But then again, not kissing seemed like a missed opportunity. Should he explain that he was just getting too deep into character, as a professional actor? Yes, he must kiss!
With these thoughts, Louis felt his ears inexplicably burning, and his cheeks followed suit.
After exiting the elevator, instead of immediately heading to the rehearsal room, he went to the bathroom, splashing his face with cold water to dispel the heat. Once he had cooled down, he located the rehearsal room as per the room number Elisa had given him.
Standing in front of the door, he took a deep breath, lightly tapped on the door twice, and obediently stood in place, waiting for someone to open it.
After a quiet wait of three to four seconds, Louis saw the door handle move, and Elisa opened the door with a “Come in.”
At two o’clock in the afternoon, the rehearsal room was lit, the curtains drawn tightly, creating an atmosphere that felt ambiguous, at least to Louis.
“No cameras, no recording. No one followed you when you came, right?” Elisa thought it best to be cautious. Louis’s status was not ordinary, and she wasn’t afraid of causing trouble for herself, only of causing him trouble.
“No one followed me. Don’t worry, I won’t cause you any trouble,” Louis reassured her.
Elisa looked up, gazing into his sharp phoenix-like eyes, like a clear spring. Louis’s features were very attractive, with deep eyes and sensual thin lips. His mouth had a confident and alluring curve, subtly captivating.
Seeing Elisa’s unwavering gaze, Louis couldn’t help but slow his breathing, feeling as if he were being pinned down by her stare, unable to move.
He couldn’t help but daydream. Not only did Elisa send him a goodnight message before sleeping, but she also chatted with him during meals. Now, just looking at her face, he found himself lost in thought, clearly deeply affected by her.
Whenever Louis felt proud, his ears would twitch. The prouder he felt, the more his ears would move, just like a dog wagging its tail.
However, gradually, Louis began to notice that something was amiss. It seemed like Elisa was looking at him, yet also through him, as if she were seeing someone else.
The last time they met was at the airport, and since then, they had only conversed on Facebook. It was difficult for Elisa not to be distracted by his face, which bore a striking resemblance to Autumn.
Realizing the distraction, Elisa quickly changed the subject. “Why is your hair wet?”
“It’s too hot. When I came up, I went to the restroom to wash my face,” Louis replied, instantly forgetting the odd sensation from before due to Elisa’s diversion.
“Let me see your script.”
The two quickly shifted into work mode, and Elisa handed her script for “Age” to Louis.
It was filled with her notes and various colored tabs. Louis had watched this movie before, and it used to be one of his favorites, but now the difference was like night and day.
The plot wasn’t tightly woven, the dialogue was subpar, and the characterization of the lead actors wasn’t as impressive as that of the supporting actress.
So when Louis saw that Elisa was holding the role of “Brigitta,” his interest was piqued.
“What do you think you’re lacking?” Louis asked.
“I have trouble expressing emotions. I understand Brigitta’s extreme possessiveness toward someone she loves but can’t have, but I can’t fully convey my emotions when facing Sebastian,” Elisa explained.
“It’s not your fault. Acting requires cooperation from both parties, and besides, Sebastian is not up to par. It’s normal that you can’t express emotions towards him,” Louis said, a hint of smug pride in his eyes.
“Let’s act together. Let’s try the first segment and speak a few lines.”
The first scene was when Ezra brought Brigitta home to change her clothes. The servant had prepared a simple qipao, which accentuated her slender waist. Having grown up in a rural area, she naturally exuded an irresistible charm, but fearing Ezra’s dislike for this side of her, she suppressed the coarseness ingrained in her…
Elisa closed her eyes, mentally running through the script, and when she opened them, her eyes had changed.
Clear as water, like an innocent deer, she tugged at her clothes, cautiously stealing a glance at Louis. Her eyes were filled with his reflection.
“Brother… Do I look beautiful?” Her voice was enchanting to the bone, yet her face exuded purity. She gazed nervously and expectantly at the person in front of her, fiddling with her clothes.
“Brother, do I look beautiful?” Elisa’s delivery of this line was incredibly captivating, causing Louis’s dark eyes to deepen. He repeatedly reminded himself that this was part of his work with Elisa, just acting.
Yet inexplicably, he couldn’t restrain his wandering thoughts. As Elisa called out “brother,” he suddenly felt as if a bomb had exploded in his mind, a deafening blast echoing, turning his face as white as a sheet and then bright red, his earlobes almost dripping with blood.
Who could resist this?!
Seeing Louis hesitate to respond, Elisa, watching his handsome face flush, suddenly realized something and mischievously decided to tease him.
She slowly approached Louis, reached out, and touched his burning earlobes with an invasive attack. “My great movie emperor, can you tell me why your face is so red?”
