Chapter 62

Book:Chasing His Ex-wife Published:2024-6-4

“What’s the matter again, Lucien? Why are you here?”
“Goodness me! Are you chasing me away? Ivan?”
“Lucien, what’s the news? I’m in no mood for anything please.”
“I thought as much. Tell me, what’s the problem? I don’t like your face, you know I gat you. Talk to me.”
“There’s nothing to talk about. I’m fine.”
“Right. I’ll leave you for now. If there’s anything, or you want to talk to me, I’m always here for you,” Lucien said and left the room, closing the door behind him. Lucien knew when to press Ivan and when not to. He figured out this wasn’t the best time to get him to speak so he left him. There was a knock and Stacy entered upon invitation. She was looking pretty and sexy as usual. Ivan had given her strict instructions on how to dress whenever he sent for her for ‘other things’ outside the office.
“Come closer,” he ordered. His voice was cold and indifferent without any ripples as if he didn’t care at all. Well, of course, he didn’t. He pointed to his belt and Stacy went ahead to do the needful. She unbuckled his belt and his member jumped out in its full length, happy to be free from it’s confinement. She held it and stroke it fondly. She bent and teased the tip with her tongue. A soft moan escaped his lips as she continued doing what she knew best. Ivan threw her on the bed and worked his fingers into her. She moaned and ached her body towards him, surrendering totally to him. He took off his shirt and kissed her lips. The whole thing didn’t feel alive as it used to be. Stacy could feel that something was missing and out of place. Ivan was doing everything absentmindedly, which was unlike him. She was sure his manhood only responded because his sexuality was balanced and not because he wanted her.
“Is there something bothering you? Is it that woman from the meeting?”
Ivan withdrew his hands which had been on her waist. He stopped what he was doing, his cold gaze stared at her, his piercing eyes and big figure were intimidating. Stacy realized she had said too much.
“It’s not that. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to intrude. I was only concerned about your wellbeing…
“Don’t ever think that because you have slept with me, you can interfere in my private life. Remember your identity, Stacy. I will not give you a second chance. Know your place. Nothing of this sort should ever happen again.”
Every of these words were heartbreaking.
“I apologize sir…” she began but Ivan cut her off. He shoved her off his body and sat up.
“Get out.”
“Sir…?”
Her eyes widened in shock. They were in the middle of being intimate and it would be unfair to leave her needy. She wished she hadn’t uttered a word. Ivan didn’t have to repeat himself, he wasn’t a man to do so. He put in his shirt and concentrated on his phone. Stacy left the room hoping that he wouldn’t change his mind about keeping her and helping to pay her mother’s hospital bill. He was the only reason her mum was still living and she didn’t want to blow up the one chance. Ivan was good in bed and she didn’t mind being his submissive till when ever he deemed it fit to let her go.
Nelly returned home with Emma and was surprised to see flowers all over the room and the sitting room was well decorated. She wondered what was happening. She curiously followed the flowers on the floor, trying to figure out what was going on. When she got to where the flowers ended in a heart shaped design, she saw Neuer on his knees. He had a ring box in his hand!
“Oh my Gosh! Nelly screamed and covered her mouth in shock.
“Let’s spend the rest of our lives together. I want to grow old with you, my love. I can’t imagine my life without you in it. Having you by my side is what completes me. Before I met you, I never realized how empty my life was. I now know that you and I are truly meant to be together. Please, will you marry me?”
Nelly covered her mouth to suppress her screams.
“Yes, yes, I will marry you!” Neuer slid the ring on her finger and she pulled him up. They were wrapped in each others embrace. Nelly stretched her hands and pulled Emma into the hug too. The looked like one perfect happy family.
The past week had been uneventful and Nathan was beginning to regain himself. Ethan didn’t show up in his house, he didn’t get any strange text and it seemed Easton wasn’t doing anything at the company. It was either they had left him alone or they were taking a break to come harder next time. Whatever the case was, he appreciated the free week. It helped him rest and get ready for anything that lay ahead of him. He decided to visit the company that morning. Shouts of ‘Good morning, president Startford’ rent the air as he entered. Everything was going on smoothly in the company and nothing seemed out of place. He returned home and had a long rest. It was the longest and the most peaceful in many months. When evening came, he went to the garden to enjoy the view. He drank wine and watched the plants. When it was time for dinner, he ate and went to bed peacefully. He liked this happy life and longed for it but sadly, there was a difficult task ahead of him. He decided to shoot a shot now his enemies were thinking of a new way out. He prepared himself for what to do. He was confident that this would disarm all of them. The following day, a visitor called at his home. It was Maryan. She finally showed up and not only did she show up, she showed up with her own demands!
