Goodness! Could the day get any worse? He thought the anonymous messages would be the last surprise for the day. He wasn’t prepared for all these surprises! Easton only had a few words for him.
“Nathan Stratford. We don’t always get to meet, but now I’ve seen you, I will go straight to the point. Easton Landers doesn’t play around words or beat about the bush. You have played with fire, be prepared for it to burn you. I am interested in Stratford and have set my hands on it. Keep off.”
“You want Stratford? Have I not settled you properly?” Nathan questioned.
“Humph! Settled me properly indeed. It’s 25% not 10%. You took away what is mine and you shouldn’t be allowed to get away with it. Leave Stratford. It belongs to me, you can’t afford to battle with me. You will loose miserably,” Easton finished and turned to go.
“Never! I have soiled my hands in the past for Stratford. I won’t give it up without a fight. Stratford is mine and no threath will make me believe otherwise!” he said to himself when Easton was out of sight and earshot.
Ivan and Lucien looked incredibly handsome as they walked into the departure hall. They had a flight scheduled in an hour. One would wonder why rich CEO’s like them would use a public airplane rather than a private jet. Ivan wanted a private jet, he wanted a smooth and silent journey but Lucien thought otherwise. He felt it would be a waste of their good looks if they didn’t show it off to many people at the local airports. Ivan had rolled his eyes at him but had to agree. As they walked into the hall, he had to accept Lucien’s theory; all eyes were on them. Lucien flashed the ladies his killer smile and walked on.
Ivan let the water hit his body for thirty minutes. That was what he needed to help him relax. The following day was a great day. It was a meeting for all the top business men in the business world. It also involved the top people in the advertising firm. It was a three day meeting.
The meeting began on a good note. Everything was going on well until Ivan got pressed. He stood up, and went towards the VIP restroom.
“Tell her to be obedient or mummy will spank her. I didn’t leave her in your care for her to trouble you,” a sweet voice said inside one or the bathrooms.
“Wasn’t that a lady’s voice? What was she doing in the male restroom?”
He entered into an empty one, eased himself and stepped out. He was washing his hands and face when the owner of the voice emerged from the bathroom. It was a lady as he guessed. She didn’t notice him at first. Ivan admired nature’s handiwork on her. She had a nice back view and was heavily endowed. Lucien had successfully restored a part of him which he thought no longer existed. He had brought him back to the splendor of the world of women. The only difference was that Ivan stuck to one sex partner, Stacy but Lucien was out to fill every hole he came across. He used and dumped women but they kept coming back and chasing after him like flies. His policy was that he never slept with the same woman twice. But after the first time, these girls keep coming back for a second time. Sometimes, he only touched them, and made them drip wet from his touch but he never went any further than that.
When the woman finally turned around and saw him, she jumped in fright.
“Hei! What are you doing here?”
He was the one supposed to be asking that. The woman looked at him again and her jaw dropped open.
“Nelly?” he called when he realised who it was but she had disappeared into thin air. Was it his imagination? Was he hallucinating? No way! He was sure of what he saw. His Nelly was in Germany and was attending the meeting for elites! She was either a business owner or a part of the advertising unit! But how did she disappear in Nano seconds? There were a lot of things he wanted to say to her, a lot he wanted to tell her and an apology they owed each other. He wanted to make it up to her, he wanted to tell her how much still loved her and how he wanted her back.
Nelly was back to her seat. She received the bottle of water her assistant offered. She was breathing hard and needed it to calm herself.
She had the first surprise when she saw a male in what was supposed to be the female restroom. As if that wasn’t enough, it was her ex husband, Ivan Landers. She thanked her stars and her feet for carrying her away immediately. It was when she left that she realised she had mistakenly gone into the male restroom.
But what was Ivan doing in Germany?
She hadn’t expected him to be there or even if he were to come, she never expected to meet him, at least, not in that manner.
Memories from years ago came flooding her mind. She remembered their first and last time together. Both were fun but one had an outcome, Emma.
“I could have waited to see what he had to say to me,” she chided herself. But another mind told her she took the right step. Ivan was the last person she wanted to see at the moment. He had wronged but was also a part of the reasons she was a successful actress in Germany. She only focused on the meeting and tried not to think further.
When they went on a short break, he looked around for Nelly but she wasn’t found. Just when he was beginning to accept it was only his imagination or his wild thoughts, he saw Nelly seated at a far end of the restaurant he went to!
