Chapter 267 Kill Her

Book:The Revenge of My Alluring Wife Published:2024-6-4

Evelyn, accompanied by Samuel and the others, proceeded to their destination. However, upon arrival, they found no trace of the goods. Suddenly, with a loud “bang,” a bullet came towards her.
“Damn it!” Samuel exclaimed, pulling Evelyn aside, “Evelyn, did you piss someone off? They stole the goods and now they want to kill you.”
Evelyn’s gaze turned icy cold, “I’ve pissed off plenty of people.”
“But they all have one common trait,” she continued.
“What’s that?” Samuel asked instinctively.
“They can’t stand me, yet they can’t kill me either.”
Evelyn looked at the tire tracks on the ground, “Let’s go. We’ll follow them and see who dares to steal from me.”
Samuel nodded and followed behind her, along with Harper, Kester, Ryan, and Anthony.
The group followed the tire tracks to a rundown warehouse.
The place was dilapidated but surprisingly large. Finding these people here would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
“There are so many buildings here. Let’s split up and search. Pair up and start searching one building at a time, it’ll be faster that way.” Ryan suddenly suggested.
“Kester and Anthony, Samuel, take care of Harper. I’ll go with Evelyn,” he continued, delegating tasks.
Evelyn furrowed but ultimately said nothing.
Kester and Anthony set off quickly.
Samuel watched Evelyn join another group, feeling the urge to curse, but seeing Harper’s pitiful look, he sighed and said, “Let’s go.”
Ryan and Evelyn started to search one building. When they reached the fifth floor, Ryan suddenly stopped and whispered, “I think I hear someone.”
Evelyn faintly heard voices. She subconsciously glanced at her watch. They had only been on the move for five minutes and thirty seconds. Lucky indeed?
“I’ll go check it out. You notify the others,” Evelyn whispered to Ryan as she took a step forward.
Ryan nodded and quickly took out his phone, typing rapidly before putting it away and following behind Evelyn.
In an empty room on the fifth floor, four burly men sat, appearing to be professionally trained.
Evelyn pinched her fingers, feeling worried whether her few days of learning combat skills would be of any use. If not, she would be like a lamb to the slaughter.
After some consideration, Evelyn decided to wait for Samuel and the others.
At this moment, Ryan suddenly approached. The next second, Evelyn felt a sharp pain in her neck, followed by a tingling sensation spreading throughout her body.
Evelyn wanted to turn around, but the effects of the drug hit her brain first, causing her to feel dizzy and faint.
The four burly men heard the noise and came out, asking Ryan, “Is this the woman?”
Ryan, wearing a mask, replied, “That’s right. It was instructed from above. Torture her to death, and you’ll not only get paid but also get those reagent.”
The four men were all fugitives, seeing Evelyn’s face, they couldn’t help but entertain sinister thoughts.
“Hehe, does torturing her to death mean we can use any method we want?” one of the men asked.
Ryan, being a man, discerned the intentions of these men. If there were no specific instructions on how to kill her, then any method was acceptable.
“You can do as you please,” Ryan waved his hand and remained outside the door.
The four men were ecstatic upon receiving the answer. They quickly stripped off their clothes and discussed who would go first.
At this moment, no one noticed Evelyn’s fingers move.
Evelyn had already awakened, and she hadn’t actually fainted at all. From start to finish, she had been aware that Ryan was up to something. Since she entered the research institute, Ryan had been the most resistant to her authority. How could someone like him suddenly cooperate with her on a mission and even suggest working together?
Moreover, with ten floors in this building, Ryan had shown no hesitation while climbing from the first floor to the fifth. Yet he stopped precisely at the fifth floor, sure that someone was there?
If he didn’t know beforehand, she didn’t know how else to explain it.
The four burly men had already approached Evelyn, with one of them reaching out to grab her arm. Just as he was about to strip off her clothes, a delicate hand suddenly attacked him, catching him off guard and twisting his wrist forcefully.
A piercing scream echoed instantly.
Evelyn frowned in disdain, releasing the man. Without giving the other three a chance to react, she swiftly acted, disabling all of them within a minute by targeting their wrists.
“You… you weren’t affected by my needle?” Ryan’s face was full of disbelief.
Evelyn smiled, “What? Disappointed that I woke up so soon?”
“Maybe your drug wore off? Do you need me to cooperate with you and lie down for a while?”
Ryan: “…”
He felt Evelyn was playing a trick on him, and he was enraged, “Bitch, you think you can get away with it just because you woke up?”
“What are you guys doing? It’s just some broken wrists. If you kill this woman, I’ll have the higher-ups reimburse your medical expenses!” Ryan yelled angrily at the men on the ground.
The four men gritted their teeth and stood up.
Evelyn stared fearlessly at the four men. She walked around the room for a moment, then picked up an iron rod and approached the four men slowly.
The lengthy and hefty iron rod scraped against the ground, emitting sparks with each movement.
Evelyn pointed at the legs of the four men, “You can still move with injured wrists. What if your legs were broken?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll do it gently, and there will be absolutely no after-effects.”
Without waiting for their response, she struck suddenly. The iron rod descended like a mighty hammer, landing heavily on their legs.
Screams filled the air, echoing through the entire warehouse.
“Ah… It hurts, it hurts so much!” One of the burly men couldn’t bear it any longer and began to plead loudly.
“No more, we won’t take this task anymore. The reagent is in that box, take it and spare us, please,” another begged.
“Trash… You bunch of useless trash.,” Ryan watched the scene in disbelief.
Evelyn quickly shifted the iron rod to a different angle. “Ryan, it’s your turn.”
“You can’t scare me,” Ryan roared, suddenly pulling out a gun and aiming it directly at Evelyn.
“As long as I pull this trigger, you’re finished,” Ryan smirked, “Evelyn, in your next life, it’s best not to meddle in others’ affairs. Blocking someone’s path can easily get you killed.”
“Have you ever heard a saying?”
“What?”
“Villains die from talking too much.”
Ryan realized the meaning behind this phrase. Just as he was about to mock Evelyn for being foolish enough to challenge a gun, he saw Evelyn rush towards him, her movements sharp and forceful.
Ryan panicked, frantically pulling the trigger. As the gun went off, Evelyn’s fists also rained down on his head.
Once… twice… and countless times, Ryan only felt like his head was about to explode.
Samuel and the others arrived, witnessing the chaotic scene, leaving them dumbfounded.
“… Evelyn, did you perhaps hit the wrong person?” Samuel asked.
Evelyn stopped and took a breath, asking the others, “Who is he?”
“He’s Ryan! That’s Ryan,” Harper spoke up.
Evelyn glanced at Harper, “Then it’s not wrong. I hit the right person.”
Harper: “…”
Others: “…”
Samuel was the first to react, “This bastard, did he betray us? No wonder he always clashed with Evelyn, but this time he volunteered to team up with her. Despicable.”
With that, he stepped forward and kicked twice. Then he saw four big men crouching nearby, covered in injuries but dare not make a sound.
“Evelyn, did you… do this too?” Samuel asked incredulously.
Evelyn shrugged, “Just poked them a few times, and their limbs broke.”
Samuel was speechless. He suddenly realized that getting covered in mud by Evelyn was probably the kindest thing she could have done. Thankful to Evelyn for sparing his limbs.
Evelyn pointed to a nearby box, “Check if any of the reagents are missing. If even one is, then…”
The four men trembled.
After quickly inspecting the reagents, Samuel reported, “No problem, not a single one is missing.”
“Then let’s go.”
The four men, thinking they had narrowly escaped, breathed a sigh of relief.
But at that moment, Samuel spoke up again, “Evelyn, what about these people? Are we just going to leave them like this?”
“Of course not,” Evelyn replied.
She glanced at the gun in Ryan’s hand, “But I’m a bit torn now.”
“There are ready weapons here. Should I kill them? Or should we hand them over to the police?”
Samuel shuddered. He didn’t answer.
The four men on the ground turned pale with fear, shaking their heads frantically.
“Please, call the police. I want to go to jail.”
“I know I was wrong, please don’t kill me…”
Evelyn waved her hand hastily, “Forget it, call the police.”
“And as for Ryan, throw him in jail first. Let’s see who he’ll contact afterward.”
