Chapter 264 Killed Her On The Spot

Evelyn: “…”
After a moment of consideration, Evelyn spoke softly, “Is it possible??”
Henry made a sound of agreement, placed the documents aside, and then carried Evelyn back to the bedroom, earnestly blow-drying her hair.
“Alexander set up a gathering, do you want to go?”
“To do what?” Evelyn asked casually. In her mind, she speculated it might just involve activities like dining or singing, which didn’t particularly interest her. She had already prepared to decline, but Henry said in a deep voice, “In a club, horse racing, and shooting are all available.”
When shooting was mentioned, Evelyn suddenly became interested and nodded, “I want to go. Take me there.”
After the two of them got ready and came out, David was already waiting impatiently in the car. When he saw Evelyn, he was momentarily surprised and then glanced at Henry, “Is Madam joining us?”
Henry replied, “Go to the club first.”
David sighed, about to remind that there was a three-billion-dollar contract left unsigned. But with a glance from Henry, he immediately shut his mouth and quickly started the engine. He must have meddled too much. Compared to madam, three billion is not even worth mentioning.
Alexander had no idea that Henry would come, and the games had already started.
In the high-end club, a group of well-known Memphis figures had formed small groups, each starting their own games.
Matthew and Alexander leaned against a wall, unable to resist teasing, “Didn’t you say you would definitely get Henry to come this time?”
Alexander glared at him, his face turning unpleasant, “How would I know what he’s busy with? He didn’t even respond to my messages.”
Matthew chuckled, “Have you seen my new car? I was even thinking, if you could get Henry to come, I’d give it to you. But now…”
Matthew intentionally showed a regretful expression, hoping to see Alexander’s irritated look. However, Alexander unexpectedly looked delighted.
“Matthew, give me the keys. The new car is mine now.”
Matthew turned around in silence, only to find Henry, dressed in a suit, leading Evelyn into the venue …
Damn!
He actually came, and Matthew seriously doubted if Henry and Alexander had conspired to trick him into giving away a car.
Annoyed, Matthew threw the keys to Alexander. He stood up with a dark face, ready to question Henry when a woman suddenly appeared beside him, “Who is that woman?”
Matthew and Alexander exchanged glances but remained silent.
The woman became more anxious, “Matthew, I’m asking you, who is that woman?”
Matthew finally reacted, his gaze filled with impatience, “Do I have an obligation to answer your questions?”
This woman is Yesenia, a renowned figure in the capital city. She had a romantic history with Matthew when she was young. However, her intentions were not pure, as her ultimate goal was always Henry. She approached Matthew merely as a mean to get closer to Henry.
Yesenia had faced a near-death experience when she tried to get close to Henry back then. Matthew had almost severed ties with Henry because of his brief infatuation with Yesenia. Now, seeing her audacity to reappear, Matthew’s face darkened, and he chose to ignore her, focusing on his wine.
Accustomed to being flattered, Yesenia couldn’t bear the sudden indifference. She stomped her foot, “Matthew, you’ll regret this.”
Matthew: “…”
“Who does she think she is? Why would I regret for her?” His biggest regret was momentarily indulging in Yesenia’s beauty, nearly causing a rift with Henry.
Alexander shrugged, “How about a drink?” He picked up a juice.
Matthew, swaying his wine glass, scoffed, “Juice? Are you serious?”
“I have no choice. Sophia is strict now. If I go back after drinking, I’ll be punished,” Alexander explained. Even today’s gathering was only allowed after he pleaded with Sophia for a long time.
Matthew: “…”
After leaving Matthew, Yesenia tried to find familiar faces at the gathering, all the while attempting to gather information about Evelyn. She hadn’t paid attention to Henry in only two years, so how could such a woman appear?
After Henry met Alexander, he got entangled with Matthew’s group. Not wanting to stay there, Evelyn found a random reason to leave and headed to the shooting range.
In the shooting range, she found a secluded spot, fired dozens of shots to calm herself. When she prepared to leave, she sensed that her phone had been tampered with.
Quickly activating a program, Evelyn restored her phone to its state before any deletion operations. In the sent items, there was a text message sent to Henry, inviting him to a romantic rendezvous in a room upstairs.
Hmm! Romantic?
Cold, annoyed, and irritable, waves of hostility broke free…
The guns she had not returned started clicking as she loaded them.
Evelyn first checked on Henry and found him still sitting peacefully. Satisfied, she went upstairs alone.
At this moment, Yesenia had changed into a seductive nightgown and was admiring herself in the mirror. She couldn’t believe Henry could resist the allure of someone like her. Yesenia considered herself far superior in appearance to Evelyn.
Suddenly, a knock on the door shattered her fantasies. Yesenia blushed and, as she approached the door, her heart raced with excitement. However, upon opening the door, she froze.
“What are you doing here?”
Evelyn scrutinized Yesenia’s provocative attire, her anger intensifying, “Bitch…”
Yesenia’s face turned cold as she raised her eyebrows arrogantly, “I advise you not to meddle if you want Henry to spoil you for a couple more years.”
“Even though I hate you, I have to admit that with your looks, you can maintain Henry’s interest for a while. Don’t worry, when I become Mrs. Wilson, I’ll make sure Henry compensates you a bit more.”
“Pfft.” Evelyn chuckled, “So you’re suggesting I divorce Henry and make way for you?”
“Divorce?!”
Yesenia was astonished, “What do you mean? What divorce? He’s clearly still single.”
“Did you see his household registration? Or did he tell you himself?” Evelyn sighed, “But when he begged me to marry him, he did mention it. He said that if he encounters any unworthy women in the future, he would leave the decision to me.”
“You, you’re talking nonsense. A person of his stature, how could he possibly beg you?” Yesenia refused to believe that there were so many women eagerly waiting to marry him. How could he possibly beg someone like Evelyn?
Evelyn pinched her fingers, “Miss, as a courtesy, I’m giving you a heads up. I’m about to take action.”
“You say… Ah!” Before Yesenia could react, she suffered a heavy blow, crashing hard onto the floor.
“Evelyn, you bitch! How dare you hit me.” She struggled to get up, screaming, “Do you know who I am?”
Evelyn sneered, pointing the dark barrel of the gun directly at Yesenia’s forehead.
“Speak up! Who the hell… are you?”

David was originally helping Henry answer the phone when he unintentionally saw that text message. He was about to go report to his boss, but on the way, he bumped into the furious Evelyn. She seemed not to notice him, but the gun in her hand genuinely frightened him.
“Boss,” David hurriedly ran to Henry’s side, “Madam, she…”
Looking at Matthew, Alexander, and a few others, he hesitated to speak.
Alexander’s eyes gleamed as he stared at David, “Quick, what did she do?”
“There are no outsiders here,” Matthew chimed in.
Noah, with an indifferent expression, leaned against the sofa and took another sip of red wine.
David hesitated, still staring at Henry.
“Speak,” Henry’s eyes were deep.
“Madam… she went upstairs in a rage, holding a gun,” David took out his phone.
Seeing the message, Henry abruptly stood up and headed outside.
Alexander, momentarily shocked, grabbed Matthew, “Hurry, let’s go and see.”
The room suddenly emptied, and Noah finished his wine in silence, quietly standing up and following behind.
As the group exited the elevator, they caught a whiff of a bloody smell, followed by Yesenia’s painfully heart-wrenching cries.
“Oh my…” Alexander shivered. Even Noah and Matthew couldn’t help but frown.
David followed behind Henry, already starting to pray for the upcoming scene not to be too brutal, hoping that Madam would show some mercy!
As the screams grew louder, the group quickened their pace. Upon reaching the door, they simultaneously froze in their tracks.
Not for any other reason, just pure astonishment.
The scene in the room was simply too… almost unbearable to witness.
It was inhumane.
Yesenia lay on the ground, bruised and battered, her clothes torn apart. On her left side were five teeth, blood still oozing from the corners of her mouth.
As for her body, bullet penetrated her legs, and blood soaked half of her nightgown.
“This, this is…” Who could do such a thing?
Alexander wanted to make a sarcastic comment, but under the icy gaze of Henry, he swallowed his words.
“Evelyn,” Henry spoke, and Evelyn turned to face Henry, her first instinct was to run back into the room.
After a moment, she swiftly returned, covering Yesenia securely with a blanket. Then she ran into Henry’s arms, covering his eyes.
“Don’t look. It’s too disgusting. You’re not allowed to look.”
