“As an exchange, you must delete this video.”
Evelyn shook her head with a sigh, “Are you too naive, or do you think I’m an idiot? Delete the video, and do I have anything left to balance against you?”
She leisurely put away her phone, “Spencer, you don’t have the capital to dictate conditions now. However, I’m also a person of principles. As long as you keep your word, this video won’t be leaked.”
When had Spencer been restrained like this? His face turned even darker.
“Evelyn, you’d better keep your promise, or else…”
“Or else, you still can’t do anything to me.” Evelyn smiled, continuing, “Spencer, what you need to do now is not to make empty threats but to leave as soon as possible.”
As she finished speaking, perhaps to avoid further embarrassment, he hurriedly left.
Mr. Robinson of HL Company breathed a sigh of relief, “Miss Taylor, thank you so much for this.”
“We have been received your emails. We are willing to sell the reagent to you at half price.”
A fifty percent discount could be considered a cost price. Evelyn was quite satisfied inwardly, but her expression remained calm. She put away her phone and sat across from Mr. Robinson, “This collaboration can be seen as mutually beneficial. I’ve looked into the current situation of your company. Without this deal, the company probably wouldn’t have held on until next week, right?”
Mr. Robinson’s gaze froze for a moment, and his assistant beside him also frowned.
Evelyn spoke in a low voice, “So, for this collaboration, I have a condition.”
This time, Mr. Robinson’s expression turned unpleasant, “Miss Taylor, please go ahead.”
“When I said that the she didn’t have good intentions, we should continue seeking investment instead of pinning our hopes on someone taking advantage of our difficulties.” The assistant muttered behind Mr. Robinson.
Evelyn cast a glance at the assistant. Mr. Robinson immediately turned back. “No nonsense. Miss Taylor, please state your request. But a fifty percent discount is already our cost price. Please take that into consideration and be lenient with us.”
Evelyn thought for a moment, “I can accept a thirty percent discount, but HL Company must promise that in the future, we have an absolute priority to use all the company’s reagents in our research. Additionally, HL Company cannot unilaterally break the contract.”
Mr. Robinson and the assistant were both taken aback. They remained silent for a while before asking Evelyn in hushed voices, “Is there anything else?”
Evelyn replied, “Yes.”
At these words, Mr. Robinson looked disappointed, and the assistant’s gaze turned disdainful, displaying an ‘I knew it would be like this’ expression.
Evelyn sighed, “I hope HL Company can provide me with a written promise. No more requests now.”
Mr. Robinson exchanged glances with the assistant, and hurriedly urged, “What are you still waiting for? Why don’t you draft the contract quickly?”
Although Evelyn’s demands were hard to understand, for HL Company at the moment, it was undoubtedly a good thing.

After leaving HL Company, Evelyn made a quick visit to YR Company to deliver the medal.
As soon as she entered the office, she felt that something was off.
Evelyn held her breath, clenched her fists, and just as she was about to make a move, her wrist was gently grabbed by a pair of soft hands.
“Finally back??” Georgia accused, pointing accusingly at Dylan behind her. “This prodigy here, I brought him in for you, and he’s been utterly useless.”
“No, no,” Evelyn immediately retorted, “I’m just biding my time, saving him for something big.” Upon hearing this, Dylan, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke up, “What big thing? Like getting into the research institute?”
“You want to get into the institute?” Evelyn looked at her with surprise.
Dylan pouted, waving his hand dismissively, “Don’t ask like that. I might think you have a way to get me in.”
Evelyn: “…”
Seeing Evelyn’s speechless expression, Georgia turned around and gave Dylan a fierce punch. “Are you crazy about getting into the institute?”
Dylan shrugged, “Can’t I think about it?”
Georgia: “…”
Evelyn took out her phone and messaged Gavin, asking if, as the future owner of the institute, she had the authority to recruit a few people into the research institute.
Dylan’s potential is limitless, and she had long wanted to bring him under her wing, including Georgia, of course. As for Zane, he would eventually learn the truth and come over to her side.
Gavin seemed to think for a long time before replying to Evelyn, “Yes, you can.”
“Alright, you’re officially a member of the institute now. But keep in mind, in such a competitive research environment, you’ll need to make your own way to stand out!” She sent an email to Dylan, followed by a discreet reminder.
Dylan: “…” What’s with this serious tone? Is she acting?
Georgia also thought Evelyn was going too far. After all, the research institute had always been Dylan’s dream, and it shouldn’t be treated as a joke.
Just as she was about to intervene, Dylan’s phone seemed to vibrate.
“This can’t be the offer you were talking about for the institute, right?…” Dylan said jokingly, taking out his phone. However, as he read the content, he froze for a long time.
“Oh my, Georgia. Quickly help me see what this is. Don’t lie to me!”
Georgia was a bit speechless about his exaggerated expression. Just as she was about to mock his poor acting skills, the offer interface was suddenly placed in front of her, and the imprint on this offer was undoubtedly genuine.
Georgia looked at Dylan, then at Evelyn, “Is this real?”
Dylan, now composed, responded, “Your reaction reassures me. It’s not a dream.”
Evelyn carefully chose her words and explained in a low voice, “I only discovered a few days ago during my promotion that YR Company is affiliated with the institute, and the headquarters I joined turned out to be the institute.”
She tried to smooth out the story to prevent them from finding any loopholes.
“If everything is okay, shall I take you to complete the onboarding process?”
Georgia asked in surprise, “Both of us?”
“Of course.” Evelyn whispered, “I forgot to send you the offer, but it doesn’t mean I overlooked you.”
Filled with joy, Georgia followed Evelyn to an ordinary office building.
“Evelyn, I pass by this place every day. You’re not going to tell me that this is the headquarters of the institute, are you?”
There were rumors that no one could pinpoint the location of the institute. Georgia hoped her speculation was wrong, but the next moment, Evelyn nodded directly.
“Let’s go.” Evelyn led the two, entered a building in a secluded area.
Compared to the ordinary office building, the architecture here exhibited a more rigorous and modern style. Georgia felt like she had entered a new world.
The two quickly completed their onboarding procedures and were sent to the software and network security development department.
“Alright, you’ll be working here for now. Once you get used to it later, you can choose a department and project you like,” Evelyn explained in a low voice to the two. Just as she was about to turn and leave, mocking voices sounded from behind.
“Heh, two more connections? When did the institute’s charity extend to our department? It’s ridiculous.”
Leading the mockery was a man, disdainfully scanning the three. Evelyn had previously learned about him, he was currently in charge of the software and network security development department and had won numerous championships in online competitions before joining the institute.
Kenneth.
Dylan had also studied his competitions, but he never agreed with Kenneth’s methods. After a moment of consideration, he whispered, “If I participated in your competitions, I could cut the time in half.”
Kenneth’s face immediately darkened upon hearing this. Since joining the institute, no one had dared to provoke him in such a way.
Those behind him chuckled and mocked Dylan’s overestimation of his abilities.
“Cut the time in half? Does that mean breaking world records? Where did this birdbrain come from? Does he even know who our boss is?”
“The institute has always spoken with strength. Don’t agree? Just try it.”
As they spoke, they stared fiercely at Dylan, waiting for Kenneth’s word to start a battle.
Dylan remained nonchalant. “I’m fine with whatever.”
He then turned to Evelyn. “Is that okay?”
“Evelyn,” Georgia was nervous, afraid that Dylan would cause trouble for Evelyn as soon as he arrived at the institute.
Evelyn reassured her with a pat on her hand, “Without this challenge, your brother won’t be able to establish himself in the institute.”
Understanding this, Georgia decided not to say anything.
Kenneth led the group into the studio, sitting confidently across from Dylan. His two subordinates sat down beside him.
Was this going to be a three-on-three battle?
Georgia glanced at Dylan, and took a seat on his left. Seeing Evelyn hesitating, Dylan waved his hand, “We’re one short. Come on, sit down. Don’t worry. I can handle two by myself.”
