Book:The Revenge of My Alluring Wife Published:2024-6-4

“Jasper, a woman who can do such things is not worthy to marry you. If you marry that woman, how will the people in the capital look at The Reid family? Your father’s and my reputation will be trampled underfoot.”
“Mom, maybe it’s a misunderstanding…”
“Don’t tell me about misunderstandings. I’ve verified the video, it’s absolutely genuine. Jasper, even if the incident is fake, so what? The reputation of The Reid family has already been tarnished. Now, not only your father and I, but the entire The Reid family cannot accept that woman as the next mistress.”
Jasper frowned slightly, “Mom, I will consider.”
“I’m not asking you to consider. It’s an order…”
Mia’s composure was instantly shattered. Before Jasper could notice, she rushed out of the villa.
She started her car again, her expression now contorted in a sinister way.
The Taylor family’s situation couldn’t support her in doing anything. Now, she only had Jasper left, and she couldn’t afford to lose him.
Mia took out her phone, determined, and dialed a number.
“The medicine you prepared for me, you can deliver it now,” she said, adding, “Also, add a vial of blood, and bring it to me immediately.”
Just after ending the video call, Jasper received a call from Mia.
She seemed to have had too much to drink, speaking incoherently.
He couldn’t bring himself to stay indifferent and rushed to her residence.
The dimly lit room was filled with the smell of alcohol. Mia sat on the windowsill, squinting her eyes.
Jasper approached.
Mia’s phone was playing a not entirely complete recording, featuring Evelyn’s voice.
“But… you, on the other hand… are quite a good… material for broadcasting,” Evelyn’s voice echoed through the room. Jasper immediately thought of the wildly circulated video today and furrowed his brow. He couldn’t believe that the seemingly unrestrained woman would stoop to such disgusting actions.
“It’s not me. I really didn’t do it. Why doesn’t anyone believe me?” Mia murmured in near despair.
“Mia,” Jasper immediately stepped forward to wipe away the tears from the corner of her eyes, “Don’t cry, I believe you.”
Mia looked up in confusion. A glistening teardrop lingered in her eyes for a long time before it finally dripped down, landing heavily on Jasper’s heart.
“Um, Jasper, I thought you didn’t want me anymore.”
“I like you, really like you. Don’t reject me. I’m not dirty, really not dirty,” She tiptoed, offering her lips. As long as Jasper dared to evade, she would put on a wounded expression.
The fragrance in the corner was quickly burning out, and Jasper felt an abnormal heat in his body.
He looked at Mia as if he had found water in the desert. This longing made him feel that his feelings for Mia were deepening.
Everything fell into place so naturally.
After entwining Jasper three times, Mia waited until he finally fell asleep before silently getting up. She took a glass bottle from the bedside table and sprinkled a few drops of bright red liquid on the bed.
As she was about to put it away, the man next to her suddenly opened his eyes. Mia panicked for a moment and tossed the glass bottle under the bed.
In a gentle tone, Jasper asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” Mia lowered her head, held her breath, and a blush instantly appeared on her cheeks. “I just feel a bit unreal. Jasper, thank you for being by my side.”
Jasper also noticed the crimson on the bedsheet. His eyes widened slightly, and he gently held her in his arms.
“I’m sorry. I should be gentler.”
“Take a rest. Tomorrow when you wake up, everything will be fine.”
Mia nodded, lay in Jasper’s arms, and slowly closed her eyes.
When Evelyn returned to the villa, it was already very late, and Henry was still sitting on the sofa.
She was surprised, “Darling, why haven’t you slept yet?”
“There are still some things that need to be done.” Henry’s hand, which had fallen on the documents, paused for a moment, and he asked in a low voice, “Invested?”
Upon hearing this, Evelyn immediately walked briskly to his side, her beautiful eyes staring closely at the serious face of the man. “Darling, Are you following my news?”
Henry coughed lightly, his face somewhat unnatural, as he explained, “David saw it.”
David, who was mentioned, “…” It was true that he mentioned it, but the one who spent the whole afternoon on the phone, even arguing with netizens for two hours, wasn’t him.
An ice-cold gaze instantly interrupted his thoughts. David, looking at his boss’s serious expression, could only nod in agreement, “Yes, I found it.”
Evelyn glanced suspiciously at David, clearly not believing Henry’s explanation. She felt that this man was becoming more and more childish and cute.
When he wanted to keep her close in their previous life, she had never seen him behave so reserved.
Deliberately turning Henry’s face towards her, Evelyn asked, “So, what do you think of the investment project this time?”
“Has potential,” Henry pondered for a moment and added, “But it’s risky.”
