~BELLA~
The room basked in the brilliant morning sun, its golden beams piercing the open blinds, rudely waking me from a delightful dream. With a lazy, cat-like yawn, I greeted the new day, stretching and yawning like a cat, then gently rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I looked at the small clock on the bedside table and saw that it was just past seven.
As I lay in bed, my thoughts drifted back to my encounter with Professor Blake and the extraordinary kiss we shared the previous night. It was a magical kiss, one that took me to another world. The feeling of his lips on mine was nothing short of enchanting, leaving me yearning for more. Just thinking about that moment made my cheeks flush with excitement, and I felt immense joy at the thought of seeing him again at the University later that morning.
I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to start my daily routine, brushing my teeth and taking a quick shower. A few minutes later, I emerged from the bathroom, wrapping a white towel around myself. I walked over to the cosmetic table and grabbed the lotion to moisturize my skin. After that, I went to the small closet in the room to choose an outfit.
With the thought of seeing Professor Blake in mind, I opted for my favorite knee-length black dress to make a good impression. I slipped into the dress and stood in front of the dressing mirror, brushing my hair with a smile on my face, eagerly anticipating our meeting.
Once I had finished getting ready and felt beautiful enough, I left my room and headed to Sandra’s. I knocked on her door and waited for a response, but there was no answer. I decided to open the door and enter her room, but to my surprise, Sandra wasn’t there.
I wondered, “Did she go to her classes without letting me know?” I looked around her room, trying to find any clues or notes, but there was no sign of her.
Puzzled by Sandra’s absence, I couldn’t help but wonder where she might have gone without informing me. I checked her desk, but there were no notes or any indication of her plans. It was unusual for her to skip our morning routines without a word.
I decided to give her a call, hoping to get some answers. As I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up, a sense of concern began to creep in. I needed to find out where she was and make sure everything was okay.
I dialed Sandra’s number, waiting with bated breath for her to answer. The phone rang several times, but there was no response. My concern grew as I realized that she wasn’t picking up, and I began to worry about her whereabouts.
With a sense of urgency, I called Sandra again, hoping she’d answer this time. However, to my dismay, her phone was switched off. I started to feel a growing sense of unease. It was unusual for her to have her phone off, and I couldn’t help but wonder where she could be.
Leaving her room, I made my way to the living area, my thoughts racing. As I approached the entrance, I was taken aback when I saw Sandra walking in through the front door. She was dressed in a somewhat revealing gown, quite different from her usual attire. Her face was lit up with a big smile, and her eyes sparkled with excitement.
I couldn’t contain my curiosity, and I blurted out, “Sandra, where have you been? Why are you so happy, and why the change in attire?”
Sandra grinned mischievously and replied, “Oh, I had a fantastic night out with some friends. You won’t believe the fun we had. I’ll tell you all about it. But first, I need to get some rest and freshen up.”
Her happy and mysterious energy grabbed my interest as she walked past. I couldn’t wait to hear all about her night out. Wondering where she’d been and why she dressed like that, I figured her immense happiness came from wherever she spent the previous night.
Deciding to stop overthinking, I decided to switch my attention to breakfast. I confidently walked to the kitchen, where the smell of a new day’s potential greeted me. Sunlight poured in, painting a cozy scene. Grabbing a fresh loaf, I sliced it with ease, enjoying the simplicity of the moment.
The toaster hummed to life, transforming plain slices into golden perfection. Meanwhile, a kettle on the stove began Its harmonic overture, announcing the impending ballet of tea leaves in steaming water. As the tea steeped, I spread a generous layer of butter on the toasts, savoring the rich, comforting scent that filled the air.
Arranging the toasts on a plate, I poured the steeped tea into a cup, the fragrant steam rising in delicate tendrils. With a tray in hand, I proceeded to the dining area, a tableau of morning serenity. The table was set with care, sunlight playing on its surface.
Just as I settled into my chair, a familiar figure emerged. Sandra, now adorned in a chic black skirt and a vibrant blue blouse, entered with an air of happiness. Her eyes sparkled as she took a seat, and then we started eating.
Seeing Sandra so happy got me even more curious. I wondered where she’d been last night to be in such a good mood. The questions stuck in my head, making me eager to figure out the secret behind her happiness.
Taking a thoughtful sip of tea, I couldn’t resist the urge to delve into the enigma of Sandra’s joy. With a gentle curiosity, I inquired about her whereabouts the previous night. “Sandra,” I began, “you seem so happy today. Where did you go last night?”
As I took another sip of tea, I couldn’t help but notice the sparkle in Sandra’s eyes, a glimmer of excitement that spoke volumes. “Oh, you won’t believe the adventure we had last night!” she exclaimed, her voice filled with animated energy. Her eyes danced with enthusiasm as she began recounting the thrilling tale.
“I’ve been dying to watch this particular movie in the cinema, you know?” Sandra’s face lit up with a radiant joy, mirroring the cinematic glow she must have experienced the night before. “The anticipation, the suspense-it was all worth it!” she exclaimed, her hands emphasizing each word as if reliving the scenes.
As Sandra shared her excitement about the movie night, a little question popped into my mind: Was she this happy just because she went to the cinema?
I couldn’t shake the curiosity, so I probed gently, “Sandra, is there something more to the story? Going to the cinema seems amazing, but there’s a sparkle in your eyes that suggests there might be more to this happiness. spill the beans!”
Sandra chuckled at my inquiry, her eyes holding a mischievous glint. “Do you really think there’s more to my happiness, detective?” she teased, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Curiosity getting the better of me, I leaned in and asked Sandra, “Sandra, did you really go to the cinema last night?”
Her response was swift, her eyes locking onto mine with a mix of surprise and amusement. “So, you don’t believe me, Bella?” she quipped, a slight frown appearing on her face.
I chuckled and reassured her, “No, no! I believe you, but it’s just, if you really went to the cinema, wouldn’t you have mentioned it or even invited me along? And that dress you were wearing when you arrives some minutes ago… it’s not exactly cinema chic, is it?”
My words hung in the air, and Sandra stared at me, her gaze holding a mix of realization and amusement, before she casually dropped the mug of tea on the table.
“Bella,” she began, her tone tinged with a hint of sheepishness. “I probably should’ve let you know about the cinema plan, but I didn’t want to disturb you. That’s why I kept it on the down-low. And about the dress, well, I thought, you know, maybe I’d run into some attractive guys and, um, have a good time with them.”
A playful grin escaped my lips as I leaned in, unable to resist the bait. “So, did you meet any hot guys?” I asked, eager for the continuation of the intriguing tale.
Sandra’s smile widened, and she nodded affirmatively. “Oh, absolutely. Met one for sure.”
I couldn’t help but match her grin. “For real?” The air was thick with anticipation as I awaited the details of Sandra’s unexpected encounter.
Sandra leaned in, her eyes gleaming with mischief, and nodded with a playful certainty. “Absolutely for real. Tall, green eyes, huge d*ck and charming,” she added with a wink.
My eyebrows shot up in surprise, and I couldn’t resist teasing her a bit more. “Details, Sandra! You can’t drop a bomb like that and not give me the juicy specifics. What’s the story?”
She leaned back, a theatrical sigh escaping her. “Well, we started chatting during the movie, and turns out, he’s got a great sense of humor. Post-movie, we grabbed a coffee, and one thing led to another,” she paused, letting the suspense hang in the air.
I leaned in, eagerly anticipating the conclusion. “And then?”
A mischievous smile played on Sandra’s lips. “Let’s just say the cinema wasn’t the only thing steaming up last night.” We burst into a round of laughter which lasted for about a minute.
Sandra glanced at the clock, a sudden realization dawning on her. “Oh, Bella, we should probably hurry before classes start!” she exclaimed, a hint of urgency in her voice. With that, she swiftly stood up, the chair scraping against the floor in a hurried motion.
As Sandra made her way to her room, a quick determination in her steps, she called over her shoulder, “I’ll just grab my handbag and notes. Can’t afford to be late for those lectures!” The sound of her footsteps echoed in the room as she disappeared into her bedroom.
As Sandra went into her room, I kinda felt like maybe there’s more to her story. Part of me thought she might be making things up, but another part believed her. I know Sandra well, and it’s kinda hard to believe she’s so happy just from a movie and meeting some guy.
But I shook off those thoughts. I chose to trust her. She’s my friend, and I don’t see any reason for her to lie to me. So, I let it go and looked forward to the day with her, pushing aside any lingering doubts.
