#2 Chapter 66

Book:Christmas With the Wolves Published:2024-5-1

The battleground was set, the spectators present, the challengers ready. All that was left, was the finalizing touch of commencement which would be handled by the current Wolf King, Asher.
“I’ll be coordinating this contest, as the existing Grand Alpha. I’ll also be deciding the matchups. Since it is a contest of strength, it will be in a one versus one format.” He explained.
Thee six challengers nodded in response. They looked below them and saw as the hundreds of Werewolves watched them. The winner and loser was to be clearly seen by everyone present.
“This is how it’ll go;”
Match 1: Klaus vs Tyman
Match 2: Benson vs Derek
Match 3: Dax vs Alfred
Once the order of fights had been determined, they wasted no time in the preparation of the tournament. The stage was set, and everything was prepared. With his pride, honor and ultimate power at stake, the Alpha, Tyman resolved to win the fight against Klaus.
“You have a determined look in your eyes, Tyman. I hope you aren’t foolish enough to think you stand a chance against me.” Klaus asked, smiling a little at the older man.
Tyman grinned slightly.
“I won’t know until I try, now will I?”
This cause any semblance of a smile to vanish from Klaus’ face as he recognized the Alpha as an enemy instantly.
“Begin!” Asher declared.
In a flash, Tyman dashed from where he stood, leaving a trail of smoke and dry ice particles flying in the air as he lunged at Klaus. The former Wolf King remained rooted in his position, waiting for Tyman to approach him. The both of them had transformed into their part-wolf state, obtaining the qualities from their wolf transformation and having enhanced prowess.
Klaus had grey fur, while Tyman’s color was dark auburn.
>WHOOOSH< Alpha Tyman closed the distance in a flash Jumping fast at him in at him and raised his hand as he raised his voice and shouted the name of is opponent "Klaus!!!" Klaus grinned wickedly as he watched time and approached him he knew the end result of their fight but still waited anyway to see the old man struggle against him. >FWOOOOSHH< Their battle was a blur as the members of the Pack watched them exchange blows. No, rather, it was more like Tyman was struggling to hit Klaus while the latter easily evaded all of his attacks Tyman still struggled, throwing his blows as heavily and as fast as he could… all to no avail. Most members of the park could not see even a slightest hint of his jabs and fists, however, for Klaus it was an easy thing to do. The older Alpha continued his futile attempts, running out of breath and energy after a few minutes of using his full power, yet he was still unable to actually get a hit on his opponent. Soon, he came to learn that it was all futile. "Huff… huuff…" Tyman heaved, sweating a little. "You are out of shape old man. Ready to give up now?" Klaus asked, narrowing his gaze tauntingly at the older man. Tyman huffed as he stared hardly at his opponent, watching his condescending eyes pierce his powerless self. As much as it pained him to admit it, he already realized that he couldn't win! However, he wasn't going to give Klaus the satisfaction of hearing him actually confess his inferiority. "Don't joke with me!" Tyman answered. "This isn't over yet!" After making this statement, Tyman once again decided to launch an assault, this time throwing extra effort into his attacks hoping it would reach Klaus. His heels were planted on the ground as he prepared for an all out dash toward Klaus, who had not even moved from his position since the fight began. Tyman readied himself while watching as the arrogant Klaus smiled playfully at him. He didn't even seem to be taking the fight seriously. ''l'll knock that grin off your face, brat!' The ground trembled as the area where his heels made contact with cracked, propelling the Alpha forward in a frightening new speed. The winds parted as he lunged at Klaus, sending waves of cold air across the audience, making the struggle to witness the match's conclusion. >FWOOOOOSHHHH< Tyman appeared behind Klaus, strengthening his body even more with a higher form of Werewolf transformation and gave a powerful blow, sure that his attack would reach. 'You're mine!' His mind rang. >BOOOOMMMM!!!< A loud sound filled with impact echoed across the vicinity, and the audience saw the freezing winds of early January permeate the area, causing a distortion in their sight. It took a while, but once the slight fog had cleared, they saw the effect of Tyman's blow. It was… "Useless." Klaus muttered. Everyone's eyes bulged upon seeing the amazing view shown before them. Right before Tyman's blow landed on his back, Klaus used his hand to grab Tyman's fist, causing the impact to clash with his open palm. Smoke emanated from Klaus 'palm, and a scorched mark spread across it. This proved that Tyman's hit indeed wounded Klaus. Still, for a werewolf, this much was nothing. In an instant, the wound healed, yet Tyman was still in Klaus' range of attack. Before the Alpha could attempt escaping, Klaus already decided to seize the opportunity of close proximity. "My turn!" Klaus smiled wickedly. He clenched his fist, suddenly bringing out a dark purple color from it. "T-this is… Aura!" Tyman's mind rang as he unintentionally let the words slip from his mouth. Klaus was glad Tyman knew what the shrouding purple energy was, and what that meant for him. Flashes of dark purple and light purple light sparked from Klaus' fist as he launched it at the opponent in one decisive hit. >BOOOOOOOMMMM!!!< The sound was far louder than Tyman's earlier hit, sending shockwaves travelling through the audience. The moment the fist reached Tyman's head and made impact, the Alpha felt the full pain of Klaus' fist ram his head, as well as the devastatingly hot and destructive power of the purple force. "Guarghhh!!!" Tyman yelled. Even in his half-transformed state, it was painful. Once Klaus was done with the hit, he flung Tyman on the ground and smiled sadistically at him. The Alpha groaned as his back violently hit the hard summit floor, still struggling to rise, when Klaus swiftly reached him and trampled on Tyman's back with a powerful stump. >BAM!< The force exerted was enough to shatter pieces of rock from the hill, causing cracks to form around the area of impact. Tyman screamed in pain when he experienced this, feeling the surge of agony course through him. "You shouldn't have defied me. This is what you get!" Klaus grinned, enjoying the Alpha's pain. From Klaus' reaction it didn't seem like he was stopping anytime soon. He raised his leg once more to trample on Tyman once again. "So, you still want to go on?" Klaus asked. Tyman glared at the cold bastard from where he was subjected to lie on, gritting his teeth in anger and frustration. He was forced to suffer such indignity, yet his opponent showed signs of even more cruelty. "Don't look at me that way… you wanted this. Right?" Klaus smiled, descending his leg once again. This sent a louder noise than the first, making Tyman scream in far greater pain. "Arh… Arghhh!" Klaus raised his leg once again to repeat the process. Anyone beneath him who tried to challenge his authority simply had to be crushed. Such was the fate of the weak! "I-I… I give up…" Tyman finally let out, defeated. "Wise choice!" Klaus grinned. And so, the first match was brought to a swift close. The winner won as easily as he did brutally! "The first match goes to Klaus." Asher remarked, refusing to comment on Klaus' extreme actions against Tyman. 'Its not like I really care about either of them, anyway.' He thought. "Let us move on to the next match!"
