Nate turns to look at Beatrice, who is watching the television while eating and then turns his gaze to the doctor assigned to check Beatrice’s condition.
“What happened? She didn’t know me.” Nate asked the doctor. Until now, he didn’t understand how Beatrice couldn’t remember him, as Nate knew that Beatrice hadn’t injured his head.
The doctor took a deep breath and looked at Nate.
“The truth is, we also don’t know how she got this Short-term Amnesia. As we scanned her head, everything was normal.” The doctor said, so Nate frowned.
“So that means that she has Short-term amnesia?” Nate asked. The doctor nods at him as the answer.
“That’s what our finding results is. We asked Beatrice questions about her past, and she knows and remembers some happenings and events from her past, yet she couldn’t remember some from previous events.” The doctor said, so Nate looked to Beatrice once again.
“What should I do to bring her memories back? Or does she need to drink some medicine?” Nate asked and looked at her doctor again.
“I suggest you recreate some special events that happened in your life from the past that will help her regain the memories she lost.” The doctor said and looked at Beatrice. “Honestly, this is the first-ever case I handled in that miracle that happened. She was died 30 minutes ago, yet we all see how her life back. She has been sleeping for almost 1 month now, and this Short-term amnesia suddenly happened.” The doctor said, so Nate looked at Beatrice once again and smiled.
“That means It’s not yet her time,” Nate said while looking at Beatrice. After talking to the doctor, Nate asked if they could discharge Beatrice, and the doctor said she would be released after 2 days of observation.
On the other hand, Beatrice looks at her mother, who watches her eat her food.
“Mom, where’s Margarett?” Beatrice asked suddenly, so her mom was stunned from her place. “I didn’t see her earlier,” Beatrice added and drank her water.
“Beatrice, did you already forget that Margarett is already dead?” Lynn said, so Beatrice frowned because of what her mom said. “She’s been dead for almost a year now,” Lynn added, so Beatrice turned to look out the window and tried to remember anything about her twin’s death. Yet after minutes of attempting to remember anything, there is no memory she could remember.
Beatrice took a deep breath and looked at her mother once again.
“Am I really forgetting some things from my past?” Beatrice asked. Lynn held her daughter’s hand and smiled at her.
“Yeah, but the doctor said it is only short-term amnesia; you could still remember all the past,” Lynn said, so Beatrice nodded and suddenly remembered Darwin.
“Did you know where is Darwin?” Beatrice asked, so Lynn frowned and looked into her daughter’s eyes. The only thing that Beatrice remembered was her family, her twins, Eille and Darwin. All about Nate and some events from the past are all gone to her memory.
“Beatrice, don’t ask too much. It’s not good for your condition.” Lynn said as she avoided answering her daughter’s question.
“Sorry, mom, but I haven’t seen Darwin yet. Did he know that I am here?” Beatrice asked, hoping that Darwin knew that she was in the hospital.
It’s not clear to Beatrice what happened to her and why she’s in the hospital, as no one answers her question directly. All of them, including Nate, are avoiding Beatrice’s questions, which causes her to think more about it, yet as she tries to remember anything, her head just hurts.
“Don’t force yourself today,” Lynn said, so Beatrice took a deep breath after her mom avoided the question again.
“Who’s the man earlier mom?” Beatrice asked once again. Lynn knows that Beatrice is referring to Nate.
Lynn smiles at her and pinchs her cheeks. “He is your lover,” Lynn said, which caused Beatrice to frown.
“My lover? Mom, I do have a boyfriend already, and that is Darwin.” Beatrice said.
“Aunt Lynn,” the two of them turn to look to the door where the voice came. It’s Nate.
“I already arranged all her papers,” Nate said as he approached Lynn and Beatrice. “You may take your lunch with mom. She’s been waiting for you outside.” Nate said and turned to look at Beatrice.
“I will look for her,” Nate said, so Lynn nodded and stood.
“Mom, don’t leave me alone…” Beatrice said she doesn’t want to be with the man she doesn’t know.
“I will eat my lunch,” Lynn said and left the two of them. Nate sits from the chair where Lynn is sitting earlier and smiles at Beatrice.
Beatrice rolled her eyes and found him creepy because of his smile.
“Could you stop smiling like that to me?” Beatrice said, so Nate laughed and found her cute because of her actions.
“You look cute,” Nate said, so Beatrice suddenly blushed and looked in the other direction.
“Could you just leave me alone? If my boyfriend finds out that you flirting with me, he will surely kick your ass.” Beatrice said, so Nate laughed once again.
“But I am your boyfriend. Am I going to hurt myself?” Nate asks, so Beatrice looks at him.
“What are you even saying? I don’t even know you.” Beatrice said, which made Nate’s smile slowly disappear.
“My boyfriend’s name is Darwin, and he’s just out there for business. He will come soon.” Beatrice added that Nate smiles bitterly and understands that Beatrice remembers her past life with Darwin.
“Okay,” Nate said, crossing his arms as he felt jealous of how Beatrice remembered Darwin.
“I shouldn’t be jealous of a dead man, though,” Nate said to himself and took a deep breath.
“But Darwin dumped you already,” Nate said, which caused Beatrice to look at him badly.
“Could you just leave?” Beatrice asked, annoyed.
“Nope, I told your mom I won’t leave you alone,” Nate said, smiling as he knew Beatrice was annoyed with him.
“Then shut your mouth if you can’t say something nice,” Beatrice said and rolled her eyes, which caused Nate to laugh once again.
“Are you crazy? Why are you laughing for no reason?” Beatrice ask. Nate looks at her with his seductive eyes and smiles.
“You just look cute,” Nate said, so Beatrice blushed again and turned her gaze in the other direction.
“S-shut up.”
