Rayver looks at the old house standing beside the old tree in the middle of the city; he observes the place and even sees the old rusty box near the road where his father put him. The site looks different now; the house is abandoned, and some parts have already been damaged and broken.
The garden where her mother always brought him becomes a storage place of woods. The small cage of his dog is already gone.
“Is this your house?” Axle asks and examines the place.
“Yeah,” Rayver answers and smiles as he remembers what this place looked like. He pointed to something from the house.
“Have you seen those mini slides there?” Rayver asked. Axle nods in answer. “That’s where I and my brother play together.” He added and pointed another thing from the abandoned house.
“That mini ladder from that tree is supposed to be our tree house,” Rayver said, pointing out some things from the house.
“Everything you see here is so different from the past; our house used to be the last house from our community back in the past; those houses from behind were supposed to be our farm back then,” Rayver said and took a deep breath.
“Everything has changed, except for that,” Rayver added, pointing to the box where his dad had put him in the past. “That’s where my dad used to put us every time we did something terrible or wrong. But Denver is the one he always put there as he can’t accept him.” Rayver said. Axle examines Rayver’s emotions now and, based on her observation, Rayver misses this place so much,
“You miss your family, right?” Axle asked, so Rayver looked at him and smiled.
“I do miss them every day.” He said. “Especially my brother…” he added, so Axle took a deep breath and patted Rayver’s shoulder.
“I don’t know what happened to you in the past, but I hope what you feel right now will ease and change to something good,” Axle said, so Rayver smiled because of what he said.
“I guess they already left this house a very long time,” Rayver said, looking back at it. “And I think those people who live beside this house are new and don’t know where that person from this house goes.” He added.
“I knew where they’re.” The two of them look at the one who spoke from their back. It was an old man wearing a cap with a long white beard.
“Did you know that person who used to live here?” Rayver asked. A man nods and looks at the house.
“The old Beta of lord Tramaloid…” the old man said, so Rayver began to have hope again to see his family after decades.
“Chato and Tara together with their identical twins.” The old man said. Rayver smiled after hearing his mother’s name. “They left this house and abandoned it when they discovered that one of their twins betrayed and fooled them.” Rayver suddenly stopped after hearing the old man’s words.
“My best friend, Chato, told me that he and his wife will travel to find their one son.” Rayver looked down because of what he heard. All these decades, his thinking has changed from what he’s listening to now.
What he thinks all the time is that his father and mother won’t look for him as they know that he’s with them. Yet, after hearing the old man’s words, a part of him wants to go back from the past and won’t leave the box where his father put him.
“Did you know where they first went?” Rayver asked. The old man smiles bitterly.
“Sadly, their flight didn’t happen as they were involved in a car accident which caused them to lose their lives.” The old man said, which caused Rayver to be stunned and lose control of everything. It seems like his words suddenly stopped because of what he heard.
His little hope was gone; this time, he knew he wouldn’t have the chance to see his parents again because they were already gone.
“May I know your name? Why are you looking for them?” The old man asks. Rayver sadly looks at the old man’s face and smiles bitterly.
“They’re my parents.” He said, and his tears dropped from his eyes as he no longer takes the pain anymore.
Back to Nate and Beatrice, they were both in Nate’s car and Beatrice could sense that Nate was mad because of his aura. Beatrice chooses to be silent and give him space before she talks about what happened earlier.
“Do you think that Caliber is not your son?” Beatrice asked, so Nate looked at her. “I’m sorry if I ask it at this moment.” She added. Nate took a deep breath and calmed himself before leaning to sit.
“I told you, I’ve never felt anything special from that child since I first saw him,” Nate said, so Beatrice analyzed Nate’s face before she smiled bitterly.
“What’s your plan?” Beatrice asked, so Nate looked at her and didn’t answer as she also didn’t know what to do.
All he thinks right now is to have a DNA test with Caliber to prove his intuition.
“Caliber and you ate both victims here if ever she really did something worse in the past,” Beatrice said and looked in front of her. She leaned on her seat and took a deep breath.
“I wish Caliber was your son because it would become. I don’t know how to react if we find out he is not your son,” Beatrice said, remembering what happened in the past. Her son died because she’s stressed about the same issue they’re facing right now.
“I will not gonna let her go if ever that happens,” Nate said, looking at Beatrice. He saw her aura at this point, and he could tell that Beatrice was also mad and confused about the truth. Nate knows that Beatrice has had so many problems in the past because of this same issue, and it results in her miscarriage.
“We will take revenge on our child if that happens,” Nate said and held Beatrice’s hands so Beatrice looked at him because of what he said.
