Rayver’s Mission

Book:The White Wolf's Luna Published:2024-6-4

Another day passed, and Rayver witnessed how Nate isolated himself in his mansion away from other people, Nate also forgot his responsibilities as the Alpha of the white clan and his duties in his business. Rayver can’t stand seeing Nate like this. That’s why he is standing in front of Quiver’s mansion and waiting patiently for the person who will open the gate for him.
He convinced himself to talk to Beatrice as he knew she was the only way for Nate to regain his old self. They just needed to hear each other, and Rayver was sure their relationship would be fixed again after listening to each other’s side.
“Hello, who are you looking at?” A maid opened the gate for him, Rayver looked at the maid and smiled.
“Hello, I am Rayver. Is Beatrice there? Can you please inform her that I am here?” Rayver said politely as he was hoping for Beatrice to face her.
“Oh, Ms. Beatrice and Mr. Quiver are on their trip now. They will go out of town.” The maid said, so Rayver was stunned for a second.
Rayver swallowed his saliva and smiled bitterly at the maid.
“Did you know when they will come back?” Rayver asked. The maid shook her head as an answer.
Rayver took a deep breath and nodded hopefully as the maid answered him.
He turned his back on the maid, went to his car, and drove back to Nate’s mansion. His hope vanished as he knew about Beatrice and Quiver running out of town.
Rayver thinks again about another plan to bring the old Nate, as he is also worried about his master and their clan’s business.
He knows their biggest downfall will be Nate’s inability to do business again.
As Rayver parked his car in front of Nate’s mansion, he noticed the black limousine parked in front of the gate, so Rayver quickly got out of his car and walked inside the mansion.
As he entered the mansion, Clerophine and Celestine stood in the hall near the stairway facing Nate, who was still sleepy but had a cold aura.
“We file the reports to the police office about the murder Beatrice did to your dad.” Rayver heard Celestine and even saw how Nate’s forehead frowned as he listened to his mother’s words.
“You what?”
“We both went to the station earlier to file the case for Beatrice,” Clerophine answered him, so Nate looked at the both of them with his annoyed eyes.
“Why?” Nate asked. That’s why Clerophine laughed, and Celestine rolled her eyes.
“Of course, to report her crime. We need justice for what she did to your dad, Nate.” Celestine said, so Nate frowned more.
“You shouldn’t do that anymore!” Nate said, annoyed, as Celestine frowned.
“Why not? Nate, she killed our father.” Clerophine said, which made Rayver look at her as he smelled something to her words.
“Aren’t you wanted to give Dad justice for what she did?” Clerophine added that’s why Rayver became serious this time. He was thinking of something but needed more evidence to prove his suspicions.
“Dad doesn’t like more fights,” Nate said, so Clerophine laughed.
“Dad is not here anymore because of his kindness to that snake he was killed, he let his guard down and kept close to that murderer. That’s why he died.” Clerophine said.
Rayver was just watching them as he knew that there was something to Clerophine’s words.
“Don’t sue her. Just let her go.” Nate said, which made his mom mad and slapped him hard, which shocked Nate and Clerophine.
“How dare you say those words, Nate? You wanted that girl to run to her crimes and let your dad not serve the justice for him?” Celestine asked with her voice shaking because of madness.
“Are you that idiot already, Nate? Where is your brain? See what is her effect on you? She slowly poisoning your mind, Nate, Wake up!” Celestine added. Nate didn’t answer her and did not even look at his mother.
Nate didn’t know what to do now, he was not in his right mind to consider filling the case for Beatrice. He doesn’t want to see her in jail, but he wants to give his dad the justice he deserves. This is a complicated situation for him as he loves them.
“Mom, keep it cool. I think Nate only needs rest now as he is not in his right mind.” Clerophine said and looked at Nate.
“Do you want me to escort you to your room?” She asked, but Nate didn’t answer her and just walked away from the both of them.
Rayver took this chance to follow Nate to his room. He knows that this is not the right time to join the hot seat happening to their family, but this is the only way for Nate to wake up.
“Mr. Nate,” Rayver called him and entered his room.
“Leave me alone, Rayver,” Nate said coldly.
“I just wanted to talk to you about something,” Rayver said, so Nate looked at him with an annoying expression.
“About what?” Nate asked, annoyed.
“About Ms. Beatrice.” Nate rolled his eyes when he heard his words.
“Can you please leave me alone? I don’t want to talk about her, and I am not interested in what news you have about her, just don’t mention her to me anymore.” Nate said, annoyed, so Rayver examined his master as he knew he was lying because he smelled something to his words.
“You’re lying,” Rayver said, so Nate looked at him badly.
“Rayver,” Nate called his name in a warning tone. Rayver took a deep breath and nodded.
“Okay, sir,” Rayver said, turning his back to Nate.
“Did you go to her place?” Nate suddenly asked as Rayver was about to leave his room, a smirk formed on Rayaver’s lips as he heard Nte’s question.
Rayver looked at his master again.
“I thought you didn’t want to mention her again, nor you’re not interested in her,” Rayver said in his playful voice, so Nate looked at him badly again before he gave Nate a smirk and left his room.
As Rayver left him alone in his room, his smirk faded on his lips as he saw Clerophine walking in his direction.
“Is Nate already resting?” Clerophine asked him. Rayver nodded in answer, and Clerophine took a deep breath and smiled at him before she walked to her room.
Rayver watched Clerophine enter her room before he looked in the other direction.
“I need to know the truth,” Rayver said to his mind before walking away from Nate’s room.
