Chapter 50 The Other Side of Natalí.
” What do you mean you couldn’t kill the Queen?!” Princess Cixi barked at the assassins in front of her. They were ten in total they bowed their head in shame. Their faces were swollen beyond recognition and part of their body was too.
” We already got rid of her bodyguards and before we knew it, some bug swarms came out of nowhere and attacked us. There were too many, we couldn’t enter the chamber. By the time they were gone, the king was gone too” one of the assassins said while wincing in pain. One of them fell dead immediately followed by another until all of them died before her eyes. She couldn’t believe the scene in front of her, whatever killed them was waiting for them to deliver the message to her.
Her eyes became pitch black as she roared in anger. Her black veins became visible and covered one side of her face. The black mist surrounding her went crazy.
” Your Highness! The Queen is heading to the temple” Her second in command, the lady with the black veil rushed into her Chamber to give her the news. The black veins disappeared and she laughed.
” And what is she hoping to do at the temple? Heal the life-threatening wound the assassins are going to inflict on her with her sweet Natalí’s tears?” She clutched her stomach as she laughed at the poor Queen’s antics.
” Lord Talin stopped everyone from going after her”
” That fool! Do not mind him, that little Queen is dying tonight” Princess Cixi growled but she suddenly smiled again.
” Oh no! It’s going to be so fun Choking her to death with my bare hands”

Finally, inside the temple, I took a deep breath and handed little Estella to Annalise. Both of us were inside the temple with Talin outside. I opened the secret door that led to the fountain of tears from the main temple hall.
I muttered a little prayer to Natalí as I placed my hands on the fountain. It stirred awake and turned to a bright green color. It started flowing immediately with a loud creepy humm. It responded to my plea for help and it was becoming dangerous as it rushed out like a mad river. I tangled it between my fingers and it followed my lead as I opened the door again, the river of tears flowed after me and blocked the main entrance door. I ordered Annalise to open the door and she did and opened it wide. So far my hand is on the tears, it will keep on flowing. Anyone who tries to enter the temple with a malicious intention towards me will be scorched to death.
I asked Annalise to get me a chair, she gently adjusted the baby on my free arm. My other hand was on the tears which was busy forming a shield around the main hall of the temple. She placed the chair in the middle of the entrance. I sat down and crossed my legs.
” I believe you have offered enough prayer to Natalí” Lord Talin said immediately I sat down on the chair. He tried to enter but the tears prevented him from entering, he howled in pain as his legs made contact with the river of tears.
“In case you are still blind to the situation on the ground, I will spell it out for you. I will never marry you, not even if a knife was placed on my throat. I would rather choke on my spit” I smirked patting the tears like they were my pet.
” You little!” he cried as he tried to enter once again but the tears burned into his skin like hot lava.
” I will wait for my dearest husband here. Until he is back, no one is coming in or out”
Loud footsteps followed my words as the dearest princess Cixi matched in with her soldiers of about fifty to sixty men, all dressed in black. My lips curled into a smirk as they marched closer to the temple.
” Drag that bitch out here right now” Princess Cixi barked at them. An ugly scowl formed on her face as her eyes fell on my relaxed form. I kept on playing with the tears while Annalise started patting the baby gently. She has somehow managed to find a jar containing milk in the other part of the temple.
“I’d like to see you try”
” Don’t..” Talin tried to warn but more than five soldiers already walked into the shield. The tears screeched loudly and Their howl of pain was satisfying to my ears. It was like a rare sonata, the loud screech of the tears and their painful screams. Their entire body shook before they started moving in general. It reminded me of those assassins who came to the temple on my wedding Eve.
“What is happening?” Princess Cixi’s voice quivered as she saw the scene in front of her. She was shocked at the situation but I could also see some element of fear on her face.
“In case you can’t tell, I will only get out of here when my husband Comes back” I smiled as I watched her face fall.
” We shall see” She Scoffed before turning back to face her soldiers again.
” Don’t just wait there! Drag that woman out here” She yelled angrily at the poor men who were scared out of their minds at the Scene in front of them.
” Mother, don’t waste your breath” Lord Talin spoke to his mother for the first time. Her rage doubled as she moved closer to her son, he was still nursing his burnt foot. She didn’t even care about his state, she landed a hot slap on his face.
“This is all your fault! If you hadn’t allowed her to come to the temple because of your stupid infatuation, it could have been easier to wring out her neck without stress” She shouted angrily.
” It’s not my fault your son is dumb as hell” I mocked as I watched her get angrier. A black mist started forming around her as she stomped towards me. I wonder what
” I’m going to tear out your mouth once I get my hands on you,” she said moving towards the boundary of the tears. My heart skipped a beat as the black mist formed a shield around her. She placed her foot in and nothing happened, she took another step and I felt my heart race but before I could blink, the tears screeched out loudly and she started screaming in pain as the mist disappeared around her. She hurried back to where she came from.
The black mist around her provided her with some sort of temporary immunity if not, she could have ended up in the same fate with her dead soldiers. She kept panting as the heat spread throughout her body. She looked up suddenly and her eyes turned to a pitch black. Her face scared me and I found myself panicking but I only held to the tears tighter like my life depended on it. Hell! The life of my child and I depend on the tears.
She tried to enter again and then I started weaving the tears on my fingers as fast as I could, they started flowing out of the fountain of tears more and more until I heard her scream once again. This time I managed to inflict some injuries that looked like horrible burns on her body. She kept on crying while I tried to catch my breath.
Hours went by, no one was able to get into the temple my body was getting weaker due to the amount of energy I was using and the fact that I hadn’t eaten anything in the past hours. Princess Cixi kept trying but she kept on getting the same results until dawn. She was tired out of her mind and she stopped, already planning some other things.
” Here they are Your Highness” A man dressed in black, probably one of her minions told her as two other men dragged in four familiar ladies and a little girl. I gasped as I saw little Aria’s face, I didn’t even know that shrewd could stoop so low to use a little girl to threaten me. Eria, the two consorts, and one of Treven’s little sister were tied up with their hands at their backs. With her tired voice, Princess Cixi spoke.
” I will give you just three minutes to come out by yourself, or else I will feed Belladonna to all of them”
